Mr. Collett is far too kind to the Daily Mail. The Mai lheadline did not just spin the facts to create a misleading impression, as Mr. Collett suggests. It told a “direct” lie by asserting in so many words that ‘masked supporters” of Tommy Robinson” had assaulted the crowd, when the masked men who assaulted the crowd were Muslim “militants” who broke up Tommy Robinson’s campaign rally.
The militants behavior was identical to that of the Nazi brown shirts who broke up rallies by the other parties in the last contested (not free) elections during the Weimar period. The police behaved exactly as the Prussian police behaved during the same elections after Goering obtained the appointment as Prussia’s police chief, aiding and abetting the Nazi “militants”. Britain is developing into a ‘liberal” neo-Nazi state. Is America far behind?
The British news media are using the same tactics against Tommy Robinson that they’ve used to malign Israel. For years, they’ve regularly twisted their headlines to turn Palestinian terrorists into “victims” when Israel responded to terror attacks. Now, they’re turning people who make unprovoked assaults on Tommy Robinson into “victims,” when Robinson, or his people, respond to unprovoked milkshake attacks against him.
