Trump calling “fake news”, fake news is not fake news

To the Editor:

I see that the publisher/editor of this newspaper is one of 350 or more editors around the country who have joined yet one more orchestrated attempt to undermine President Trump in their ongoing yet thunderously failed mission to destroy his presidency (Editorial: A threat to our basic freedoms; August 15, 2018).

This attempt has to do with their collectively bruised egos because, gasp, as the Great Neck News laments, the president “has slandered the media with calls of ‘fake news…more than 400 times.’”

I understand the amnesia factor among Democrats, given their history. In the 1940s, the leftwing media (newspapers and radio) concealed the fact of FDR’s paralysis for years, the better to insure his reelection. Fake news!

In the 1960s, the leftwing media (including TV) concealed the voracious sexual appetite of JFK and his assorted liaisons, including in the White House, the better to get him elected. Fake news!

In the mid-‘60s, they hid the fact that LBJ laced practically every sentence with the N word, the better to support and then elect a racist Democrat rather than any Republican. Fake news!

In the 1990s, the leftwing media covered for and covered up Bill Clinton’s numerous affairs (and alleged rape), as well as the serial abuse of the woman he de facto turned into a human spittoon, his career-victim wife. Fake news!

In 2007, journalist Ezra Klein formed a group of 400 fellow leftwing journalists called JournOlist, its purpose both to prop up presidential candidate Barack Obama and to squash and quash any criticism, untoward word, uncomfortable question or challenge that Mr. Obama might receive, and to vilify, belittle and marginalize anyone who dared to ask:

***why he trotted around the globe insulting America,
***why he took a Teleprompter into a kindergarten class,
***why he thought a weak U.S. military was a good thing,
…and if he was Constitutionally eligible even to run for the presidency.

He cleared that up a month ago, on July 18, when he spoke in Kenya and stated that “I could not be prouder to be the first American president from Kenya”––once and for all proving the entire sham nature of the eight-year hoax he and his fellow leftists pulled off.

You can put this in the super-duper, high-octane, media-collusion fake news of all time!

Not to be outdone, however, by the night of November 8, 2016 at 8 p.m., when every media outlet was citing the fake polls and announcing the fake news that Hillary would be president!

And sure enough, the man who cannot be bribed, bought, or intimidated called out the sheer colossal fakery of the leftwing media that persists to this day. The headline in the NY Times the next day: “Donald Trump Is Elected President in Stunning Repudiation of the Establishment.”

That establishment, then and now,  consists of the mostly Democrat corrupt politicians who inhabit the D.C. swamp, the extant high-ranking officials of the Obama Deep State’s intelligence services and Justice Department, and the media whores who do their bidding.

Americans know they are getting fake news––all due credit to President Trump––which is why print journalism is taking its last gasp, with revenues, advertisers and subscribers down and the direct contact between politicians and the public up.

Hysterical with desperation, the left is now taking more millions from George Soros and plotting with tech giants Google, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Apple, either to censor or eliminate conservative voices. If you thought you’d had your fill of fake news, get ready for a new avalanche.

But this too will fail and then we’ll all be treated to another 350 or more editorials about the big bad president who can’t do anything right except zoom our economy into the stratosphere, put more blacks and Hispanics and women and young people to work than ever in history, strengthen our military, improve our international trade deals, continue to reduce strangulating regulations, and Make America Even Greater!

  1. This is a letter to the editor written by NY political analyst Joan Swirsky to a venal newspaper in NY that participated in the outrageous coordinated attempt to vilify President Trump. This letter to the editor was published by Israpundit but not addressed or directed to Israpundit as a participant.

  2. TED- Is this Letter To The Editor meant for you….. or are you reprinting something to a news outlet that you came across in your search for interesting topics..

It sounds to me as if she’s addressing a paper probably in Canada, or maybe the US. A place where there are about 350 news outlets, so unless Israel has that many-which I doubt- it cannot be you.

I’m playing Sherlock (more like Watson) here. Or maybe Clouseau………

O.K. I just tracked it down (call me Holmes) There were 350 newspapers in the US on Thursday which had editorials about the subject at the top of this page.
