As a Catholic immigrant from India and very familiar with the history of the middle-east and the partition of India in 1947 and that of Israel in 1948, when I read your article (shown further below, I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
Did you somehow miss that the only ones still rejecting the duly constituted partitions are the Arabs, which were either fair or unfair depending on where one was situated? Have you detected anyone in India swearing an oath to wipe Pakistan off the map and killing Pakistanis while demanding the right to return to their ancestral lands in Pakistan?
Are you unfamiliar with the history of Israel, the invasion in 1948, the refusal of the Palestinians to recognize Israel’s right to exist, their objectives clearly spelled out in the PLO Charter and Hamas Covenant? What don’t you understand about those documents?
Did you miss Alan Dershowitz dancing like a dervish to try and make Obama look like a strong supporter of Israel, who would contain Iran’s nuclear ambitions, before realizing what a putz he had been for eight wasted years and writing that Obama’s foreign policy was the worst in history?
What do you think the Iran deal was all about, if not a final F-you to the US as well as Israel – Iran’s sworn enemies?
What do you think the Palestinians who were killed were doing that got them killed?
Do you even realize that you seem to be a proud member of the American Democrat party that started as the party that fought tooth and nail to preserve slavery, founded the KKK to terrorize freed slaves, wrote the Jim Crow laws, stood in school-house doors to prevent desegregation, turned dogs and hoses on peaceful protesters and filibustered the Civil Rights Act?
When they were unable to stop civil rights for all, they wrote the Great Society programs to make as many blacks as possible dependent on government. LBJ said, “I’ll have those n***ers voting for Democrats for the next 100 years.” They have for 53 years now, against their own interests.
The Democrat party meanwhile has moseyed on to become the party of illegal aliens and were defending the honor and divinity of murderous MS-13 gang members just this past week.
Why haven’t you caught up with the killings in Gaza like your fellow seventy-percenter, Daniel Sugarman, who has had an epiphany based on the facts, while you continue with your delusions.
I can see why honest journalism has died, when people like you can be a professor in this once honest profession.

It’s true. Many American Jews act as though Israel should be grateful to them for the contribution of their grandparents while ignoring their own contemporary role as Tokyo Roses. Israel is not dependent upon them for aid or anything else. The mere fact of having Jewish ancestry doesn’t give them a right to a seat at the table they refuse to help set. It only gives them a right to be rescued when the fools have no where else to go.
I read Freedman’s “article”. What a despicable garbaje. If he is a sample of the american jews, we are better off without them. Does he even READS what he writes? The Democrats have abandoned Israel and the jews, embracing the arabs instead. But those “assmilated” jews keep with their old Pavlovian reflexes, supporting them, and refuse to see the writing in the wall. It’s SO easy to pontificate on Israel without having to pay any consequence, and also quite despicable.
