  1. @ yamit82: An extract from:

    Minimize Middle East Mistakes

    by Daniel Pipes
    Boston Globe
    December 8, 2016

    ……..

“Applied to the Middle East, how does this common-sense approach translate regarding major problems such as those involving Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Syria, Egypt, and the Arab-Israeli conflict?

Iran is overwhelmingly the greatest concern. The new administration should immediately and completely abrogate the weird non-treaty known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, a.k.a. the Iran deal. The president can unilaterally take this step and it should be followed by an ultimatum: unless the Iranians shut down their entire nuclear weapons project by a date certain, the U.S. government will accomplish this task on their behalf. Only in this way can the Islamic Republic of Iran certainly be prevented from acquiring nuclear weapons, something imperative not just for Israel and other Middle East countries, but also for Americans, as Tehran must be assumed to be building an electromagnetic pulse capability that could destroy the U.S. power grid and lead to the deaths of 90 percent of the population.”
    ……
Hopefully Trump, Pipes and I are on the same wave length.
SuShi Islamofascism is a 13 centuries problems!!!

  2. @ yamit82:
I dont see settlement or annexation on that list but then again there is no prohibition of either in any treaty signed by Israel or Law pertaining to the area… only people making up fairy tales. However,it would be a double standard, which is in the platform, to prevent jewish settlement in the area mandated to be settled by world Jewry in Law and Treaty.

I think, unlike all the diplomats and politicians, that Trump will see. with common sense, that their narratives are illegal and illegitimate….. once someone shows him what the law and treaties actually say. That responsibility rests on the state of Israel, its PM and its diplomatic corp and that is where I see the problem. It would be a great departure for the GOI, the PM and the diplomatic corp to utter these words which it never utters:
“JEWISH SETTLEMENT IN JUDEA SAMARIA IS LEGAL AND LEGITIMATE”
trump could easily be shown the truth…. but who will do that, I wonder?????????????
(are you getting my drift yet? 😛 )

  3. @ yamit82:
this is great, but…… BB already publicly asked Trump, before he is even in office, to facilitate a TWO STATE SOLUTION!!!!!
Who knows what other items on that list BB wants to sabotage and obstruct too…. settlement, east Jerusalem, etc?

Complete List Of Trump’s campaign promise about Israel

    http://www.jewishpress.com/news/breaking-news/complete-list-of-the-trump-campaigns-promises-to-israel/2016/11/09/

The following is a Nov. 2 joint statement from Jason Dov Greenblatt and David Friedman, Co-Chairmen of the Israel Advisory Committee to Donald J. Trump:

“Approximately seven months ago, we were blessed to have been tapped by Donald J. Trump to be his top advisors with respect to the State of Israel. … Each of these positions has been discussed with Mr. Trump and the Trump campaign, and most have been stated, in one form or another, by Mr. Trump in various interviews or speeches given by him or on his social media accounts.

“For those of you who are true friends of the State of Israel, and for those of you who believe that the State of Israel and the United States of America have an unbreakable friendship, we urge you to read the [list] below.”

    1. The unbreakable bond between the United States and Israel is based upon shared values of democracy, freedom of speech, respect for minorities, cherishing life, and the opportunity for all citizens to pursue their dreams.

    2. Israel is the state of the Jewish people, who have lived in that land for 3,500 years. The State of Israel was founded with courage and determination by great men and women against enormous odds and is an inspiration to people everywhere who value freedom and human dignity.

    3. Israel is a staunch ally of the U.S. and a key partner in the global war against Islamic jihadism. Military cooperation and coordination between Israel and the U.S. must continue to grow.

    4. The American people value our close friendship and alliance with Israel?—?culturally, religiously, and politically. While other nations have required U.S. troops to defend them, Israelis have always defended their own country by themselves and only ask for military equipment assistance and diplomatic support to do so. The U.S. does not need to nation-build in Israel or send troops to defend Israel.

    5. The Memorandum of Understanding signed by the American and Israeli Governments is a good first step, but there is much more to be done. A Trump Administration will ensure that Israel receives maximum military, strategic and tactical cooperation from the United States, and the MOU will not limit the support that we give. Further, Congress will not be limited to give support greater than that provided by the MOU if it chooses to do so. Israel and the United States benefit tremendously from what each country brings to the table?—?the relationship is a two way street.

    6. The U.S. should veto any United Nations votes that unfairly single out Israel and will work in international institutions and forums, including in our relations with the European Union, to oppose efforts to delegitimize Israel, impose discriminatory double standards against Israel, or to impose special labeling requirements on Israeli products or boycotts on Israeli goods.

    7. The U.S. should cut off funds for the UN Human Rights Council, a body dominated by countries presently run by dictatorships that seems solely devoted to slandering the Jewish State. UNESCO’s attempt to disconnect the State of Israel from Jerusalem is a one-sided attempt to ignore Israel’s 3,000-year bond to its capital city, and is further evidence of the enormous anti-Israel bias of the United Nations.

    8. The U.S. should view the effort to boycott, divest from, and sanction (BDS) Israel as inherently anti-Semitic and take strong measures, both diplomatic and legislative, to thwart actions that are intended to limit commercial relations with Israel, or persons or entities doing business in Israeli areas, in a discriminatory manner. The BDS movement is just another attempt by the Palestinians to avoid having to commit to a peaceful co-existence with Israel. The false notion that Israel is an occupier should be rejected.

    9. The Trump administration will ask the Justice Department to investigate coordinated attempts on college campuses to intimidate students who support Israel.

    10. A two-state solution between Israel and the Palestinians appears impossible as long as the Palestinians are unwilling to renounce violence against Israel or recognize Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state. Additionally, the Palestinians are divided between PA rule in the West Bank and Hamas rule in Gaza so there is not a united Palestinian people who could control a second state. Hamas is a US-designated terrorist organization that actively seeks Israel’s destruction. We will seek to assist the Israelis and the Palestinians in reaching a comprehensive and lasting peace, to be freely and fairly negotiated between those living in the region.

    11. The Palestinian leadership, including the PA, has undermined any chance for peace with Israel by raising generations of Palestinian children on an educational program of hatred of Israel and Jews. The larger Palestinian society is regularly taught such hatred on Palestinian television, in the Palestinian press, in entertainment media, and in political and religious communications. The two major Palestinian political parties?—?Hamas and Fatah?—?regularly promote anti-Semitism and jihad.

    13. The U.S. cannot support the creation of a new state where terrorism is financially incentivized, terrorists are celebrated by political parties and government institutions, and the corrupt diversion of foreign aid is rampant. The U.S. should not support the creation of a state that forbids the presence of Christian or Jewish citizens, or that discriminates against people on the basis of religion.

    14. The U.S. should support direct negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians without preconditions, and will oppose all Palestinian, European and other efforts to bypass direct negotiations between parties in favor of an imposed settlement. Any solutions imposed on Israel by outside parties including by the United Nations Security Council, should be opposed. We support Israel’s right and obligation to defend itself against terror attacks upon its people and against alternative forms of warfare being waged upon it legally, economically, culturally, and otherwise.

    15. Israel’s maintenance of defensible borders that preserve peace and promote stability in the region is a necessity. Pressure should not be put on Israel to withdraw to borders that make attacks and conflict more likely.

    16. The U.S. will recognize Jerusalem as the eternal and indivisible capital of the Jewish state and Mr. Trump’s Administration will move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem.

    17. Despite the Iran Nuclear deal in 2015, the U.S. State Department recently designated Iran, yet again, as the leading state sponsor of terrorism?—?putting the Middle East particularly, but the whole world at risk by financing, arming, and training terrorist groups operating around the world including Hamas, Hezbollah, and forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. The U.S. must counteract Iran’s ongoing violations of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action regarding Iran’s quest for nuclear weapons and their noncompliance with past and present sanctions, as well as the agreements they signed, and implement tough, new sanctions when needed to protect the world and Iran’s neighbors from its continuing nuclear and non-nuclear threats.

  5. Trump donated $10,000 to West Bank settlement of Beit El, founder says

Former MK Yaakov Katz says 2003 gift was made in honor of David Friedman, who was just tapped as envoy to Israel

    http://www.timesofisrael.com/trump-donated-10000-to-west-bank-settlement-of-beit-el-founder-says/

I wonder how much Dershowitz contributed to the settlers in YS… oh, thats right, the dersh thinks Jewish settlement is illegitimate.
I was right when I said the Trump is more pro Jewish than dershowitz

Wrong!!! His firm position is:”Make America Great Again”!
For that purpose he is hiring the best people available.

  7. (a) Grounds for Appointing a Special Counsel

Section 600.1 of the CFR provides that the AG will appoint a Special Counsel (SC] when the AG determines that criminal investigation is warranted and that (a)investigation by the Department of Justice would present a conflict of interest or “other extraordinary circumstance” and that “under the circumstances it would be in the public interest to appoint and outside Special Counsel.” The AG’s decision is unreviewable.
    ………………………………..

    (c) Qualifications of the SC

Section 600.3 of the CFR provides that an SC shall be a lawyer from outside the US government “with a reputation for integrity and impartial decision making, and with appropriate experience to ensure that both that the investigation will be conducted ably, expeditiously and thoroughly, and that investigative and prosecutorial decisions will be supported by an informed understanding of the criminal law and DOJ policies.”

    (d) Jurisdiction

Section 600.4 of the CFR provides that the jurisdiction of the Special Counsel is established by the AG and includes the authority to investigate and prosecute federal crimes committed in the course of, and with intent to interfere with the SC’s investigation, such as perjury, obstruction of justice, etc. The jurisdiction of the SC can be expanded by the AG if the SC and AG conclude that additional jurisdiction is necessary “in order to fully investigate and resolve the matters assigned, or to investigate new matters that come to light in the course of his investigation.”

    …………………………………..

    (f) Power and Authority

CFR 600.6 provides that the SC shall exercise within the scope of his jurisdiction the full power and independent authority to exercise all investigative and prosecutorial functions of any United States Attorney.

trump did say he would appoint a special prosecutor to investigate hillary. He could use all the dem allegations of hacking as the excuse to appoint one…. saying that he is investigating the hacking at the demand of the dems….. under the expansion clause other things would come to light which would require many expansions as time goes on.

First, the AG would need to be nominated and approved by the Senate.

Guess who is NOT a member of the administration and has all the qualifications enumerated? 🙂

  8. “I like how he’s shown us the people he wants to hire, versus the total secrecy of the last eight years,” said Dennis Egbert, 63, a retired electrician from York, Pa.

Asked what he thought of Mr. Trump’s attraction to billionaires and Goldman Sachs bankers, Mr. Egbert said: “When I was a young person, I didn’t like rich people. But you know, I’ve never gotten a job from a poor person.”

Friedman,…..has gone so far as to endorse even the annexation of some of that land, where Palestinians hope to build a state of their own.”

FriedmaNN in quoting Friedman does two things in this statement trying to massage the psych… first he renders it extremism to annex even SOME land and second he has us weeping for the hopes of a muslim homeland in the place of, on the land of the Jewish homeland. I would be very happy to hear, if this is a jew talking, that he is mugged to being a permanent cripple in the streets of NYC…. death would be too kind. Friedmann the nazi kapo does not want the jews to have even a sliver of Judea Samaria.

NYT slams ‘dangerous’ Friedman appointment as Israel envoy
In editorial, paper warns Trump lawyer holds ‘extremist views’ on the conflict; former Bush envoy Kurtzer also cautions move will be ‘hazardous to peace’

Yep, all the usual keywords they used on Trump… boys crying wolf become background noise.

  11. ‘….Friedman, 57, an Orthodox Jew and a Hebrew speaker, has been an outspoken and active supporter of the settlement movement….

Friedman, the paper noted, “has doubted the need for a two-state solution…has endorsed continued Israeli settlement of occupied (sic) territory in the West Bank… (and) has gone so far as to endorse even the annexation of some of that land, where Palestinians hope to build a state of their own.”

  12. yamit82 Said:

it would only be a courtesy of recognizing not determining another nations capital…. It’s no longer for we Israelis a burning issue we have learned to live with status quo

there you have it… why should anyone bother…. BB adores the status quo.. he has likely already told trump not to move the embassy…. Trump wants to make the Jews happy but he will find out that is not only an impossible task but a very unrewarding task… wait till he sees that what he thought the Jews desired the most, according to what Friedman told him, that the Jews hate the idea. Hate is what he will get from the jews no matter what he does. best to leave well enough alone, the Jews are already used to it and we dont want to “kick over their table”

    yamit82 Said:

it would be nice for America to recognize Jerusalem so others might as well following the American example…. Some of us here in Israel still retain some national pride.

yeh, it would… at first glance… but then when reality creeps in it is not nice anymore.
Wait till he finds out that it is the GOI who is actively helping the euros to build in YS and obstructing the Jews… wait till the GOI asks him not to upset the status quo…. he will call in Friedman and ask him why did Friedman mislead Trump on what the Jews wanted…. after all he was only trying to give them what he was told by Friedman that they wanted….LOL, does he have a lot to learn. Yes, I now agree that it makes sense to expect him to backtrack on everything vs Israel when they ask him to do so like BB just did on the TSS

  13. @ bernard ross:

Dunno why you expect unity from Jews when there is none any other place especially in America… As I said it was Trump who who said he was moving the embassy and it’s the American embassy not ours…. Moving the Embassy enshrined for many years in American law would require moving the embassy to West Jerusalem where there is no International disagreement…. and it would only be a courtesy of recognizing not determining another nations capital…. It’s no longer for we Israelis a burning issue we have learned to live with status quo but it would be nice for America to recognize Jerusalem so others might as well following the American example…. Some of us here in Israel still retain some national pride.

  14. yamit82 Said:

Since when does what the leaders and people of Israel think have any meaning or influence with any President from Truman to Obama….

since Trump listened to friedmans advice before he issued some specific platforms regarding Israel
But you are dodging the real issue. it is futile for trump to do anything positive for Israel..
if he wants to do any of the things mentioned:
move embassy, ok settlement, forget TSS, back annexation or extending Israel law……
he will encounter a storm of whiny screeching Jews, in Israel and the diaspora, deploring, defaming and condemning him
You know this is true…. therefore, what he thinks from listening to friedman is what the Jews want… the jews will tell him otherwise, and insult him while doing it…..
so tell me….. what can he possibly gain from changing the status quo?????
All the screeching began immediately but now we have the PM of Israel practically begging and cajoling him to take back his words on a TSS….
he probably also told him, under the table, to postpone the embassy move also as it would change the status quo that BB worships plus all the gov bldgs are in TA.
Honestly, dont you also beleive that BB is capable of telling trump under the table to postpone any embassy move?

We need a president who will just tell these Arab squatters in Eretz Israel, “If you’re not willing to live in peace as an Israeli citizen and acknowledge that Israel is the homeland of the Jews, leave. You have no right to live as an enemy of the state within the borders of Eretz Israel.”

  16. the whole russian story is a fairy tale concocted by proven serial liars done on the most transparent and amateurish level imaginable. ALL anonymous sources, all open sources are political appointees of the liar cabal, “info” so vague and replete with plausible deniability when later exposed as a fraud.
Every day there are phishing emails in my box and my understanding is most are east european or russian. It might be russin connected or not… so what. We spy on them and they spy on us. Much more relveant is why they did not have a big brouhaha over the hacking of hillary’s unsecured server?????????
the only question is WHY are they polluting the airwaves at this time with this ludicrous narrative? I doubt it is because they can influence the election.

These disinformation campaigns are usually created either to massage the sheeple into a set of beliefs to prepare them for future edicts AND/OR to create a distracting red herring, a cloud of obfuscation about which everyone talks while ignoring other important issues.

what can be served by this: It distracts from the very real revealed crimes of podesta, the dem campaing, soros,AND the just announced and hardly noticed final determination with further evidence that the long form issued birth certificat is a forgery. In this case the distraction worked successfully as the Arpaio determination is very serious and very legal.

It also serves as a warning to Trump that they can make trouble for him if he pursues their crimes. IN my view.. when the crooks are out the Arpaio investigation should be pursued and that investigation of the first crime will lead to the other crimes.

This disinformation campaign has showed us once more the extent to which our government depts are corrupted by the political leadership. Those at the top of the CIA, DOJ, DHS, FBI all appear to be part of this corruption as evidence by their participation in the disinformation campaign… including Obama. This “Russian hacking” fraud should be thoroughly investigated by trump because it will expose it as a fraud… investigate all other possible hacking like hillary emails again as the last FBI case was a fake. Investigate the muslim brotherhood infiltration and huma. Those investigations will mushroom into exposing and draining the swamp of many who would go unnoticed.

I don’t think any Israeli government since 48 would ever give up an inch of territory where it not from pressure by America and European leaders. Begin the POS was the worst of the bunch and the major cause for our subsequent negative positions. Beware of Demagogues.

Trump says he’d be ‘neutral’ with Israelis and Palestinians

Comment by: Jeffrey Kane · University of Michigan
I have been a supporter of Trump since he first announced his candidacy. This is the first development that has caused me to fall off his bandwagon. He presents himself as the champion of what is right and best for America, unencumbered by the influence of special interests, and here he his waffling on which side to support in the dispute over the lands of Eretz Israel. I thought he had the guts to come out and call a spade a spade, but this pronouncement indicates that he is just another schmuck too afaid to tell the Arabs that they’re full of shit. We need a president who will just tell these Arab squatters in Eretz Israel, “If you’re not willing to live in peace as an Israeli citizen and acknowledge that Israel is the homeland of the Jews, leave. Jewish Supporters of Israel scratching their heads on his backtracking on moving US Embassy to Jerusalem

I can see him backtracking if all he gets for it is trouble from jews. It doesnt matter to him, so if the jews cant get behind it why bother? DUH????

  20. yamit82 Said:

Trump will be tested, domestically and Internationally in the first weeks of his admin and how he deals with those challenges will determine the success of his administration for the rest of his term.

I think that internationally, to start with, folks will avoid challenging him because they cant figure him out and wont want to “kick over the table” However, I believe that domestically the same crooks that infest the current admin, their backers like soros, will continue to stalk and harass Trump with libels, destabiliztion and riots. If Trump is smart he will immediately hit them all with a heavy hand, physically and legally. Noticing that when he is crossed or attacked he comes back with an attack rather than go on the defensive I am looking forward to some shocked whiny faces on the left… and hopefully investigations and Jail for some.
    yamit82 Said:

I see the RNC snatching the fruits of Trumps victory and it will destroy the hopes of millions who wanted real change.

I also see this strong possibility, and if it were anyone but Trump I would say he would be totally hijacked. However, it is Trump, so I will wait and see. The fact is that he cannot get much done without congress so he must work with them… given that fact would neccessitate certain pragmatic choices. So far, I see him making choices which include the GOP in certain areas of the executive, mainly as a liaison to the GOP in congress. I expect that he will make deals with congress on both sides of the aisle. It is possible that Trump gets more GOP to his pragmatism if he is successful and becomes more popular. I beleive that a goal will be to make inroads into those voters who pre judged him so as to strenghthen his position for the next election and with congress. He goes direct to the people if he does not get his way, the members will not want to be in that spotlight.

  21. yamit82 Said:

I want to see how he will deal Internationally different than either Bush or Obama right now from here can’t see any difference.

good idea to wait and see. I see lots of differences..especially with Israel but why bother… its not as if israel wont throw whatever he gives them back in his face. My observations of the Israel politic and Trump personality is that he will soon tire of the games played in Israel. The closer he gets he will see that his Jewish advisors who want annexation, settlement, Jerusalem etc will be contradicted by a major portion of Israelis. He will become disillusioned with the Jews who whatever he does for them they are against him in the US and he will see that there is no unison in what Jews want there either. He will leave saying “these Jews are nuts, they dont know what they want” that would be my reaction if I were not a Jew.
Remember this incredible and unbelievable actual fact:
The PM of the Jewish state of Israel CANNOT utter these words:
“JEWISH SETTLEMENT IN YS IS LEGAL AND LEGITIMATE”
If the PM of Israel and the majority of Israelis cannot clearly and repeatedly get behind those words they can FUGGEDABOUTIT.

  22. @ yamit82:
I dont see this “backtracking”.. but if he was it would probably because the PM of Israel asked him to backtrack in the same way they ask the US congress NOT to cut off funds everytime they vote to cut off funds. Furthermore, I would be re assessing my stated position with Israel after Netanyahu’s debacle of proclaiming publicly to the world begging trump for 2 states…. this after Trumps rep has stated repeatedly that he is not married to the two state solution. Imagine that, Trumps man gives an opening to kill the TSS and Netanyahu decides to jump up PUBLICLY insulting Trump and throwing it back in his face…. why didnt BB STFU??????
BB may be screwing everything up because Trump is not likely to play those games that BB plays under the table. If you shout publicly and globally throwing Trumps offer back in his face he will move on an not bother with you any more.. and rightfully so.
Whatever BB meant to do, this was a lunatic move even if he wanted the TSS. He should discuss any contradiction privately.
Instead of looking at Trump you need to deal with your PM.

  23. yamit82 Said:

So far Trump has incompetently made the Chinese mad

Not incompetent at all. china has been dealt with soft gloves in breaching their agreements, it did not work and its getting worse, Trump simply is bringing on early what needs to be done. I am mad with the chinese.. not becuase they took the 30 years of our consumption engine to build their economy but they have used that money to build their military and are now agressively confronting us in an expansionist mode. I dont beleive in trading with those who are using your money against you. If they had used that money to demonstrate a non hostile non expansionist MO then it would be different. China is a danger to the world under the current leadership and political structure. their behavior in the so china sea makes that clear.

  24. Some thoughts for today:

If the Russians hacked the elections how did HRC win popular vote??

So far Trump has incompetently made the Chinese mad and Jewish Supporters of Israel scratching their heads on his backtracking on moving US Embassy to Jerusalem… he is competing with Obama for backtracking speed over Jerusalem so who is running his show???? Looks like Keystone cops even before he takes office officially.

I want to see how he will deal Internationally different than either Bush or Obama right now from here can’t see any difference. I think he will discover rather quickly that running a country like America is infinitely more difficult and complex than running Trump enterprises and that countries are not business and can’t be run as a business…. The “art of the deal is not applicable”

Trump will be tested, domestically and Internationally in the first weeks of his admin and how he deals with those challenges will determine the success of his administration for the rest of his term.

I see the RNC snatching the fruits of Trumps victory and it will destroy the hopes of millions who wanted real change.

  25. although for the most part more accurate and insightful, more than most current politicians and journalists I think he also does not fully get it yet.
People did not just want trump to “knock over the table”… people wanted his specific platforms implemented without regard to any leftist or conservative idologies. Trump, as he noted, is a builder… a builder creates, builds achieves. Trumps major appointments are notable as non politicians who can do rather than talk.
I especially understand when Gingrich reacts first with some shock to some things Trump did, but has learned to look for what Trump might be doing.
Gingrich does see that Trump is much more intelligent, competent and creative that most folks imagined. Gingrich added some more examples of the methods behind some of Trumps “madness”. the fact is that Trump has performed brilliantly to date…… Trump was out to “win”… and win he did.
I have never seen so many people and institutions so massively humiliated and discredited as those who crossed Trumps path…… I await phase 2 drooling with baited breath and the hope that it is even possible that when he said “lock her up” he was and still is very serious. I have this vision of the day after inauguration that Rudy is appointed special prosecutor on so many outstanding issues including the felon crime of the forgery of the long form birth certificate as finalized today by Arpaio.
