1) DT was +27 among the military, the highest any GOP candidate was in the past 4 presidential elections Romney was +20.
2) DT was +39 with white non-college grads McCain was +18 & Romney was +25.
3) DT set a modern day record of being +65 white evangelical voters a gain of 9 points over 2012
4) Obama was +2 in 2012 among Catholics; Trump was +7, a net gain of 9 points.
5) DT was +28 among rural voters; Mitt was +19.
6) Clinton’s margin with unionized households was 10 points less than Obama in 2012.
7) Hillary’s margin with non-white voters was -9 compared to 2012 while DT was only +1 with whites compared to Mitt.
8) Unbelievably DT still won despite white voters dropping 2 points to 70% of the vote & non-whites rising 2% to represent 30% of the vote.
9) DT’s margin of +6 with independents was the best achieved by a Republican since Bush 41 was at +14 in 1988.
10) The partisan breakdown in 2016 was 37/33/31; in 2012 it was 38/32/29.
This was huge. It became a D+4 election instead of a D+6 election.
