22 MKs sign petition rejecting Arab Peace Initiative as it contradicts their ‘moral and political position’.
The MKs began by declaring they were “in favor of peace and economic ties with the Arab states.”
However, they continued, “we strongly oppose the principles of the Arab peace initiative” and went on to list its troublesome conditions, including the establishment of a Palestinian state on 1967 lines, the division of Jerusalem, the evacuation of the Golan Heights, the removal of hundreds of thousands of Israelis from their homes [due to evacuating settlements] and the entry of Arab refugees into Israel [as demanded by the Palestinians].
I am dismayed that out of government of 67 MK’s only 1/3 signed on.
a reminder for those who wax euphoric about egypt…. egypt is as it always was…. only sisi is the differnce, when he is gone the difference will be gone, again. Nothing sustainable or permanent can be sought.
LIke Trump said…. its the muslims…. wherever they are the same sick pathology obtains.
If you factor in those MKs, who did not sign, but who oppose the plan no less than those who signed, who wish to avoid ruffling feathers with sensitive “allies” at this point in time, call them marriages of convenience, if you like; the numbers opposed would be the majority of all MKs, imo, Mr. Belman.
Of course Israel must be opposed to this toxic plan. Politics aside.
It was only created for PR on the part of The Saudis. Probably urged by the likes of Kissinger. It is a perfect example of semantic infiltration, as Ben Tekoa points out in his now infamous lecture in Southern California, ‘Phantom Nation….’. Excellent lecture. Kudos.
A “peace” plan which as it’s main component guts Israel, well there is Arafat’s “Peace of The Brave”, everyone with a modicum of intelligence knows what we dealing with here. The Saudis are offering Israelis “candy” in return for their destruction. They wish for us to celebrate our own demise, with them, how sentimental.
