    It is easy to observe that Putin himself is religious. He is not a communist. The Russian Orthodox church is well established among ethnic Russians, but the RF is represented by many other traditional religious beliefs, especially Islam and even Buddhism, so it is very difficult for the government of the RF to sustain a “Christian ethos”.
