U.S. government officials: We are considering recognizing a Palestinian State within 1967 borders

According to sources, the consideration is in light of Prime Minister Netanyahu’s remarks against the idea of two states.

The United States is considering to support the decision of the UN Security Council in defining the boundaries of a Palestinian state with the 1967 borders, reported the New York Times. According to the report, officials in the U.S. government are considering recommending the move after Netanyahu’s remarks against the establishment of a Palestinian state in Judea and Samaria, and due to his warning against the high voter turnout in the Arab sector.

The American officials added that despite the fact that relations between Israel and the U.S. will remain strong, they may not be run by President Obama himself, but instead by Secretary of State John Kerry and officials from the Department of Defense.

Last night, the White House expressed concern over the Prime Minister’s remarks on election day, that “warned” that the Arab sector was going en masse to the polls, which the Americans called “separatist rhetoric”. White House spokesman Josh Ernest told reporters that the United States would speak directly with Israel about this issue.

The U.S. sources also added that in Obama’s opinion, “the two-state solution is the best way to calm the tension between Israel and the Palestinians”, and stressed that the United States will “reconsider” its attitude regarding the peace process after Netanyahu’s remarks in an interview in which he said that if elected, there will be no Palestinian state. They also said that in their opinion, “Netanyahu’s elution will have no effect on the Iranian nuclear issue.”

  3. If this happens it will be one more UN Bill against Israel. They also passed a bill that Zionism is Racism. Does not make it so! The UN and Obama can not force Israel to create a PA state that is a danger to Israel.

    Bibi should have said I am not for Pal State now because the Pals have not yet turned into Finns or Canadians, people that we would not mind co-existing with. When they do we can negotiate a two state solution. We are not negotiating a two-state solution with Islamic wackos who want to destroy us.

    The US Congress may cut funding to the UN I heard from Lindsey Graham. They pay 22% of the bill now. USA taxpayers could do well to force the UN to move and sell the building which sits on Prime Real Estate in NY. The condo would go for a lot of money there.
