Mr. Quigley it is obvious you are quite wet behind your ears. You are a Trotskyite who propagates a doctrine which it has been shown to be bankrupt. You do not know anything about your subject child.

I think that Sharman is far more acute because he has spotted this weakness in Bennett and Glick that you cannot argue against and nobody has. Not only does it prolong the problem (this section C thing) but arguably makes it worse by creating a massive border to patrol. Just from listening to the first half of this tape there are massive divisions between Sharman and Bennett and I agree with Sharman and I must point out Sharman has no agreement with “Trotskyism” but we agree on certain important things. Trotsky followers means anti-democratic system for Israel. In your dreams. Quigley ought to follow yamit82 advise. Go to Bene.
I watched the entire interview and Bennett was very assertive and very clear. I like the fact that he is not willing to give land away. We are not occupiers. They are occupying our land. He did stay on course when Indyk tried to deviate the conversation. I’m weary of any politicians. I like what Bennett says. Once elected will he act accordingly or as previous politicians. Will he renege on his words? I have to sit and wait. The interview was really good. I enjoyed listening to somebody with guts.
that would be foolish politics. bennett wants to show that he is not an extremist. he wants his “practical, realistic, pragmatic” policies to be bought by the uncommitted to his left. if he allows the converstion to degenerate into an argument he would not be able to get his policies clearly set out to the public. he has been provided a platform to disclose his policies. It appears to have worked for him politically. Felix Quigley Said:
Why engage with such a hostile force close to Obama? Beats me!
Because he demonstrates that he and his policies are rational as opposed to the extremist label they try to give him… it appears to have worked, politically. This is the time to win power so as to effect policies, his approach is practical and makes sense. He could say everything in a blog that no one reads instead. Felix Quigley Said:
Make a big splash by having Bennett tell Indyk to feck off!
why, indyk is a paid GCC whore..nothing is gained by using the platform for that goal…bennett seeks power and disseminating his platform is the way he sees to that goal…it appears to be working, his responses were positive.
your goals are for those in power, first he must gain power. Felix Quigley Said:
In that regard have no objections to voting thus for Bennett.
the bottom line at this time
@ Ted Belman:
Very Good idea to have Bennett and Sherman collaborate!
Hey guys go your way then. In my life have really seen it all and have seen this pattern emerging time after time.
From Derry (Burntollet Bridge) to Gush Katif but the thing joining the two was the lack of a party to lead,
So Bennett. Don’t talk to me about Bennett. He is just the latest. Have seen em all before.
Bernard – publicity (and politics) is important. So make a point of telling Indyk to get lost. Why engage with such a hostile force close to Obama? Beats me! You want publicity? Make a big splash by having Bennett tell Indyk to feck off!
Ted you are dreaming about Bennett and Sherman. The latter is more of a realist in tactics. He knows that the Bennett line which I think is close to the Caroline Glick line will create a border which is (I think he says) a thousand km in length. (WITHOUT SOLVING A THING) And that such schemes as that of Bennett are worse than doing nothing (I think I am close on that forgive me Martin if wrong) I think Ted you are again barking up the wrong tree (huge forest by now!) and I predict such a meeting will not take place because the differences with Bennett are even greater than with Bibi.
The comments above are masking a whole heap of big differences among your good selves.
You ask what would I do? Well I would do very little except that I would state, state and state again certain fundamentals.
1. Cannot live at all with the Palestinian idea of Hajj Amin el Husseini and his mentor Arafat. In whatever form.
2. Make known the history of the Palestinian Arab movement under and since Hajj Amin el Husseini
3. Emphasize continually all aspects of his role in the Holocaust
4. Point out the conformity between Islamic State (or Isis) and the Palestinian Arabs
5. Advance the idea of primacy of the national state in the world today
6. Active support for Scottish independence
7. Active support also for Ulster, Catalonian and Basque as well as Corsican and many others independence movements
8. Actively and openly arm the Kurds to the gills
9. State that it sets up an historical review as a prelude to shutting forever the mosque in Jerusalem and rebuilding The Temple of the Jews thereon
There are many other things such as dissolving the Settlers committee that sold out on Gush Katif and replacing it with a directly elected committee which is independent from the elites. But you get the idea. There are other things but it is the general spirit of independence that is important.
The most important step of all is to build the independent Trotskyist Party which is independent from all these forces and leaders like Bennett. This guy (as I said) is a Begin (Sinai) waiting to happen.
Tactics re election vote for whoever including Bennett in order to keep the Obama mob out of power. That is vote against Labour, against Livni and against Lapid in whatever way is advantageous. In that regard have no objections to voting thus for Bennett. What I do oppose is illusions.
@ yamit82:
What is remarkable is that another of the many F-35 deadly design failures is allowed to be published.
Lockheed Martin never wanted to make of the F-35 a mish mush of technologies. The Washington folk wanted to do it that way. The very nature of the radar dispersing coatings is adding to the thin skinned tanks a delta T kick. Also during VTO and landing engine thrust vectoring adds to fuel storage and processing problems.
Engine fires did not just happen.
We may HAVE to swallow a few of the duds thanks to Barak but all follow on must be cancelled.
He probably is worse for Israel than Netanyahu and that is saying something.
what do you suggest, who do you suggest to vote for? Felix Quigley Said:
why debate with this guy Indyk in the first place?
Its called publicity….. he probably wants to show that he is not the right wing nutter that he is portrayed as, appearing realistic and practical. ever hear of politics? Most politicians will seek votes from the uncommitted trying to assuage their fears of voting for them, whether left or right…Lapid and livni portray themselves as zionists.
@ Bear Klein:I have written to my connection to Bennett and Ayelet Shaked as follows:
Naftali was outstanding.
He said that this election is a choice between being strong and being weak or something to that effect. But it is more.
He said that Netanyahu supports a TSS whereas he doesn’t. May I suggest he should consider making “no” to the TSS a central plank in his campaign.
Two other things of note. He said he is not married to his plan. That’s good to hear. The main message is “no” to the TSS.
He also said that annexing C won’t happen overnight and that it may take years to undo the nonsense.
Martin Sherman is also a proponent of a major PR campaign to turn the situation around primarily in Israel but also in the western world. He has advocated for a huge increase in the government devoted to this purpose.
Bennett and Sherman should talk. I know that Malcolm Dash and Martin Sherman have met with you in the hope that this would lead to such a meeting.
Please try to make it happen. I would like to see a close relationship between them develop. Sherman has much to offer that Bennett can make use of.
@ SHmuel HaLevi 2:
The Effective Way for Destructing Tunnels that the IDF has “Forgotten”
Exposed: A day before the end of Operation Protective Edge, the IDF “revealed” an effective practice for the destruction of tunnels. IsraeDefense reveals that this solution was developed 12 years ago at the request of the Ministry of Defense, yet had been forgotten over time
— Again, another truly remarkable facet of the F-35 program is discovered purely by chance, without ever having been mentioned in any of the innumerable studies and reports on the program that have been published over the past 12 years.
Thanks to a story on the curious subject of repainting fuel trucks posted over the week-end on the US Air Force website, and reproduced below, the world has discovered that “the F-35 has a fuel temperature threshold, and may not function properly if the fuel temperature is too high.”
And if that was not enough, the US Air Force feels this is a problem of sufficient concern to look for ways to “mitigate any possible aircraft shutdowns due to high fuel temperatures in the future.”
While this may not pose operational problems to Norway or possibly Canada, other future operators ranging from Turkey to Japan to Australia, and from Israel to Italy, may be surprised to find that the F-35s they plan to buy will not be able to fly when temperatures exceed values that are routine in the summer in their part of the world.

@ Bear Klein:
We agree. Mr. Bennett is a candidate of stature. Netanyahu is in turn, a very well formed tactician in the political quagmire. Setting aside silly polls fabricated for the media to sell pseudo news, Netanyahu has trounced the wily party changer and the meandering ungraduate.
As to Minister Bennett, I find him very well formed and ready for higher office.
A combination between the two is formidable.
What Bennett conveys very clearly and in all communications is that a Palestinian State is NOT acceptable.
Since Bibi waffled on this and only maintains conditions for this state to come into existence (which I believe he does NOT actually believe will happen).
What Bennett clearly says is very important. He is changing the paradigm and point of discussion because a Palestinian is a danger to the existence of Israel.
Bennett is important for Israel! He is saying Jews are not leaving their homes anywhere and we have rights in Judah and Samaria. He has a plan which is basically to make the best of a bad situation. This is the best that can be done in the current reality according to him. This is way better than any of this illusionists who want to give up land for a piece of paper and hope the Pals will become like Canadians (perfect neighbors to the Americans.
It is very serious the response to Bennett of Ted, Ross, Yamit and Halevi. This shows the gap between blogs like Israpundit and the Trotskyist http://www.4international.me that I represent.
I call for a vote for Bennett and also for Likud om the March election, and others in the context of keeping pro-Jihadists like Livni out of power, that is keep their dangerous hands off of state power.
But having said that there is very little in what Bennett says against Indyk that makes sense to me and the first question is why debate with this guy Indyk in the first place? That in itself raises questions.
Bennett is into the old charade that if you treat your enemy very well then he or she will be very nice to you in return. Not so! If you treat em very well they will “very well” grow in strength and they will use this strength against you in the most vicious war possible.
Bennett raises the most serious problems for Israel and this is shown especially in the above guys I mentioned here on Israpundit taking a line of lying down in front of this character. He probably is worse for Israel than Netanyahu and that is saying something.
The centre of his treachery to the Jews at this time was highlighted when he said he was good friends with the American people but that good friends have disagreements. This is old tosh repeated ad absurdum.
Bennett is again sliding over the fact that the US RULING CLASSES have hatred for Jews and nothing but hatred for Jews. The ordinary American people at present support Israel. Bennett obscures the key and central contradiction which to survive Israel must highlight and work on. Bennett is a tool of US Imperialism. That will be shown as time goes on.
Very very dangerous man for Jews is Naftali Bennett because he gives an appearance of being strong but as I show above is the opposite. This guy will cave in worse than Begin did over Sinai.
Indyk is a shameless idiot.
good interview. I like the approach of not trying to achieve the typical “solutions” but instead dealing with practical realities. for those worried about the international sanctions he did not really offer any approach. Perhaps he could approach this problem like others:
@ yamit82:
May I jump in?
I just now read US based evaluations of Minister Bennett’s performance at the Forum and with Indyk. Everyone is impressed.
I saw the video as well.
He is the best candidate running today as far as I can ascertain. His performance there was nothing short of terrific.
And I agree that polls today are of no consequence outside the fact that the polls show that the peace industry class has crashed.
Mr. Bennett took away their last kicks.
Yet. They own huge resources and one never knows how will they use that.
The Three Stooges are looking more and more like political ghosts. Kohalon is also fading.
If the right refrains from attacking each other and can submit a simple message they might do what we hope for.
Obama will pull out all stips and much dinero to toppple the Likud and BB…..
I say all things considered it’s a toss up at this stage.

He will and will get an extra 2-3 seats because of it. The Likud may lose even more if they push BB’s line. BB will not make 2SS a campaign issue unless he is forced to.
This is going to be the most negative campaign pre election in Israels history…
Obama will invest all he can to defeat BB.
It worked with Clinton aiding and supporting Barak against BB it might again?????
If the Likud and Bennet’s party attack each other for the votes on the right the left will win.
Polls right now are meaningless!!!!!!!
Bennett said this election is all about the choice between being strong or being weak. Yes but it is more. He also said that Netanyahu backs a Palestinian state i.e., TSS. Bennett does not. I think Bennett should make this difference a major issue.
@ Ted Belman:
I just read that Rivlin is “afraid” that people will not vote… More scaremongering by the tweet.
What I see is that people is very focused this time and is peeling off the veneer covers served by the Peresite substrate.

I enjoyed listening to somebody with guts.
bernard ross Said:
Felix Let me introduce you to D.bene
You have a lot in common.
Felix Quigley Said:
I thought trotsky was dead, how will such a party help israel?
Felix Quigley Said:
that would be foolish politics. bennett wants to show that he is not an extremist. he wants his “practical, realistic, pragmatic” policies to be bought by the uncommitted to his left. if he allows the converstion to degenerate into an argument he would not be able to get his policies clearly set out to the public. he has been provided a platform to disclose his policies. It appears to have worked for him politically.
Felix Quigley Said:
Because he demonstrates that he and his policies are rational as opposed to the extremist label they try to give him… it appears to have worked, politically. This is the time to win power so as to effect policies, his approach is practical and makes sense. He could say everything in a blog that no one reads instead.
Felix Quigley Said:
why, indyk is a paid GCC whore..nothing is gained by using the platform for that goal…bennett seeks power and disseminating his platform is the way he sees to that goal…it appears to be working, his responses were positive.
Felix Quigley Said:
your goals are for those in power, first he must gain power.
Felix Quigley Said:
the bottom line at this time
@ Ted Belman:
Bear Klein Said:
He appears to be the least vague of the bunch, you can see what his platform is.
Felix Quigley Said:
what do you suggest, who do you suggest to vote for?
Felix Quigley Said:
Its called publicity….. he probably wants to show that he is not the right wing nutter that he is portrayed as, appearing realistic and practical. ever hear of politics? Most politicians will seek votes from the uncommitted trying to assuage their fears of voting for them, whether left or right…Lapid and livni portray themselves as zionists.
@ Bear Klein:I have written to my connection to Bennett and Ayelet Shaked as follows:
@ SHmuel HaLevi 2:
The Effective Way for Destructing Tunnels that the IDF has “Forgotten”
Exposed: A day before the end of Operation Protective Edge, the IDF “revealed” an effective practice for the destruction of tunnels. IsraeDefense reveals that this solution was developed 12 years ago at the request of the Ministry of Defense, yet had been forgotten over time

SHmuel HaLevi 2 Said:
If the right refrains from attacking each other and can submit a simple message they might do what we hope for.
Obama will pull out all stips and much dinero to toppple the Likud and BB…..
I say all things considered it’s a toss up at this stage.
@ Ted Belman:
Former Ambassador Oren said today that the “left” crashed. Netanyahu and Bennett are mincing them all.
@ SHmuel HaLevi 2:ABSOLUTELY
Superbly done by Minister Bennett. A must see for everyone in my view.
