Avi Lewis makes an ass of himself

Avi Lewis, son of Stephen Lewis, interviewed Ayaan Hirsi Ali and was totally outclassed by her. He was insulting, stupid and denigrating. You wont want to miss UTUBE covering the interview.

While you are at it, listen to the discussion of this interview by Michael Coren.
and the comments by Dennis Prager

Lewis made outrageous statements such as “Homophobia is rampant in the US”. “North American Muslims feel under siege.”

  1. Avi Lewis’ was as crass as he usually is. He was and is no match for the likes of Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a brilliant, well mannered individual with a sense of humour to boot.

  2. Avi Lewis is a young Canadian left wing socialist ideologue, who is seeking to make a name for himself. Lewis revealed in the way he carried on and ended his interview of Hirsi Ali that he really believed that he showed her a thing or two. Self congratulatory delusion is often the foodstuff of left wing ideologues, so I would not be the least surprised if Avi Lewis really believes that he nailed that interview and is oblivious to the fact that Hirsi Ali nailed him.

That CBC Television is helping him on his way by giving him his own news analysis program, On the Map says a lot about what the small lettered politics of the CBC are. Those left wing politics have always marked the top management echelon of the CBC since its inception. Programming, the choice of news casters, the focus and spin of news reports and news and current events analysts and interviewers all are chosen to reflect the views and politics of CBC’s management.

The CBC is partially, but heavily funded by federal government subsidy. To this day, it cannot survive without being on the welfare rolls of the federal government. CBC programming is just not good enough to compete with the more slick, attractive and interesting programming coming from the U.S. and therefore does not hold much of a position in the ratings game. Lower ratings means less advertising revenue.

You would think that someone at CBC would have noticed that the public do not want the product they put out and they therefore opt for a better one. To be fair, I expect CBC has noticed, but so long as the federal government continues to give CBC a guaranteed income supplement, they just do not have the incentive to do anything differently.

In Canada, if one wants an example of a corporate welfare bum, one needn’t look any further then Canada’s own Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
