Could be Game-Changer in Confrontation With Iran
Boeing, the US-based aircraft manufacturer which is also the third largest defense contractor in the world, has successfully carried out a test of an electro-magnetic pulse (EMP) device over a military compound in Utah. The device is said to be a possible game-changer in any military confrontation with Iran.
An electromagnetic pulse is an intense burst of gamma energy that reacts with the Earth’s magnetic field to produce a powerful current. This sets off a shockwave with the potential to “fry” electronic devices and circuits.
The test was conducted some months ago, but was largely ignored by the press as VR-Zone noted in a report on the story.
The test was codenamed CHAMP — Counter-Electronics High Power Advanced Missile Project and was the first time a real EMP missile has been tested with positive real world results.
As Arutz Sheva noted, The UK’s Sunday Times wrote of possible Israeli plans to use the technology against Iran.
@ bahmi:
Is it the weapons, or what they are used for? Are you saying weapons used to attack are the same as weapons used to defend yourself? The height of moral equivalence!
More and more weapons to destroy humanity, how nice!
It looked like a very narrow beam – very precise targeting.
The danger is it can be used against us and used to reduce the advantage of technology – if it can be developed or stolen by the enemy.
