IRAN BOASTS U.S. HAS ABANDONED ISRAEL

Claims ‘rejection by West’ paves way to annihilate Jewish state

By Reza Kahlili, WND

Iranian outlets have been claiming recently the United States has been forced to bow before Iran on its nuclear program, demonstrating the West’s abandonment of Israel and paving the way for the Islamic regime to annihilate the Jewish state.

While restating that Iran will demand ever more in the upcoming second round of talks with the 5+1 nations to be held this month in Baghdad, the Iranian media are now boasting that Israel has been abandoned by its allies and is in a dire bind.

One such editorial, published last week by Iran’s Keyhan newspaper, which is directly under the supervision of Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, stated, “It can be said that within the last 60 years, this is the first time that the Zionist regime, since its illegal inception, has had to endure rejection by the West over its vision and interest in the region.”

The editorial, written by Sadollah Zarei, a columnist for the hard-line paper, said that within the last three months, Israeli officials, after reports that America is on the verge of accepting the Iranian nuclear program, have made several trips to Washington, where on one trip they met for 10 days with U.S. officials to try to change President Obama’s decision to accept Iran’s nuclear program. They were unsuccessful.

“The ramifications of [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu’s defeat in the face of Obama’s policies have been a breakdown in Israel’s usurper regime, where now many within its own government have spoken against its own prime minister, claiming Iran is a rational regime and not after the bomb,” Zarei wrote.

While Israel’s government is in disarray internally, the editorial said, the West is forced to watch Iran’s victory in nuclear negotiations.

“The West, which in the first (5+1) Istanbul talks would not recognize Iran’s nuclear program even if the 20 percent enriched material was sent out of the country, now before stepping into the Baghdad meeting has accepted Iran’s nuclear program without even getting an assurance on the 20 percent enrichment process,” Zarei said. “All of this is taking place in front of the horrified eyes of the Zionist regime.”

The 5+1 nations, which are the five permanent Security Council nations plus Germany, have broached the subject of allowing Iran to enrich uranium to the 5 percent level for peaceful purposes. Enriching to the 20 percent level is an important step to nuclear weaponization, which Iran is pushing for as part of its stated goal of obliterating Israel.

The question now is why the West has changed its policies toward Iran, the editorial said. It could have continued with the same old policies of confrontation.

The answer, the editorial said, is that “in the last year, two important events have taken place. One has been the Islamic Awakening (the Arab Spring) in the region, which is based on the ideology of the Islamic Republic of Iran and has the West quite worried and concerned; the other is the events in Egypt, which, despite all the analysis by the West, have turned into an Islamic movement with Sharia laws. These two events have forced the West to rethink its approach toward Iran.”

As a result, Israel is backed into a corner, alone without its allies, the editorial said.

Zarei concluded that Israel has been weakened drastically with what is happening in Egypt, which has collapsed part of Israel’s regional security.

“With diminishing support for Israel and with the (upcoming) collapse of the monarchy in Saudi Arabia,” Zarei claims, “there won’t be any obstacles left facing Iran with its policy of annihilation of Israel.”

Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi, one of the most influential clerics in the Islamic regime and possibly the next supreme leader, has stated that it is the duty of Muslims to destroy the “Zionist regime and its arrogant supporters.”

Yazdi had decreed in 2006 that in case of war between Muslims and “infidels,” Muslims can take the “infidels” as slaves until they become Muslims and then send them back to their countries.

In a new decree, Yazdi said, “When protecting Islam and the Muslim (community), martyrdom operation not only is allowed, but it even is an obligation.”

In any attack on Israel, only Israeli civilians who have opposed Israel’s “vicious crimes” should be spared, but the rest can be slaughtered, he said.

As WND has reported, the Iranian government, through a website proxy, has laid out the legal and religious justification for the destruction of Israel and the slaughter of its people.

The doctrine includes wiping out Israeli assets and Jewish people worldwide.

Calling Israel a danger to Islam, the conservative website Alef, with ties to Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said the opportunity must not be lost to remove “this corrupting material. It is a ‘jurisprudential justification’ to kill all the Jews and annihilate Israel, and in that, the Islamic government of Iran must take the helm.”

  1. Massive Pro-Israel “Shopping Spree”

    Launched to Back Israeli Businesses

Basketball Legend Tal Brody, Shop-A-Fada Chair,

Vows “This Will Help Bust the Anti-Israel Boycott”

(JERUSALEM- May 14, 2012) In the face of increasing calls to boycott Israeli-made products and divest from interests in the Jewish State, a group of Israeli businesspeople have joined forces to launch an innovative campaign entitled Shop-A-Fada. The campaign is intended to “Fight back against those who think that they’ll be able to destroy Israel by waging economic warfare,” says Tal Brody, who serves as the Honorary Chairman for the initiative. The program is being officially launched today at http://www.shop-a-fada.com along with a You Tube video available at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjD10exUvBE . Along with his role as Chair of Shop-A-Fada, Brody, who is well-known as one of the nation’s most accomplished sports stars, speaks around the world on behalf of Israel and was officially appointed as the nation’s Goodwill Ambassador.

The campaign name was chosen to act as a direct response to the Palestinian intifada with the organizers saying that the same characteristics of passion and unity which defined the intifada will be behind this campaign. “We firmly believe that this is an initiative which all friends of Israel, Jew and non-Jew alike need to embrace,” Brody says. “The time has come to show our enemies that as resolved as they are to practice hate against us, we’re equally committed to come out in unwavering solidarity for Israel,” Brody says while pointing out the obvious difference being that this campaign will be wholly non-political.

Known as Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions, the BDS movement has become increasingly virulent in its attacks against Israel. In recent weeks, a major line of British supermarkets announced that it halt trade with Israel representing hundreds of thousands of financial damage to Israeli exporters. “These actions aren’t statements of solidarity with the Arab world but they are literally economic attacks on hard-working Israelis and Palestinians and deserve a united global response,” Brody says.

Shop-a-fada was developed by a team of Israelis who own and operate the website JudaicaWebStore.com. The site is today the country’s largest online clearinghouse of Israeli manufactured gifts and Judaica offering over 8,000 products manufactured by 120 different Israeli companies.

Arik Barel, CEO of JudaicaWebStore.com says that the idea for the campaign came while recognizing that people all too often are looking for ways to actively support Israel but feel there’s little they can do from so far away. “The economic toll that the BDS has taken on Israel is by no means negligible and we wanted to respond on behalf of the business community before the damage is irreversible,” Barel says. “The facts are that we need to come out actively and fight back in the face of these acts which are nothing short of terrorism. People all over the world are being afforded a tool to support Israel and if we all make even just a modest investment and buy Blue and White today we can collectively make a huge difference.” Barel also says that in recent years many stores around the world have removed Israeli products from their shelves so shopping online is the natural response.

As part of the campaign, 5 percent of all sales before June 15th would be donated to American Friends of Magen David Adom (AFMDA) to support their lifesaving work on behalf of the people of Israel. AFMDA Chief Executive Officer Arnold Gerson saluted the initiative saying, “This campaign now allows people to come out actively in support of Israel both helping strengthen the national economy, but also directly assisting the hundreds of thousands of people who benefit from the care of Magen David Adom each year.”

Visitors to http://www.shop-a-fada.com will be able to choose from a “product of the day” as well as gain access to an online marketplace offering a wide variety of potential gifts and Israeli and Jewish-related items.

“There can be no denying that just like a war on the battlefield, this is a war that is being fought in the global marketplace,” Brody says. “And to win this war we will need international support so now is the time to help ensure that Israel remains strong and secure.”

  2. With Husayn Obama on command US can’t move, only Israel can solve iranian threat, the sooner will be the better

  3. @ Frank Adam:

First Israel should avoid taking on Iran for as long as possible as it is at a such a distance that a campaign there could be another Moscow expedition as did for: Sweden’s Charles XII France’s Napoleon and Germany’s Kleine Adolph. Better to follow the US post WW II policy of containment and strain them.

Frank, you obviously have read SOME history, or you wouldn’t know who Charles XII was. Have no fear — (1) Israel has no intention of “marching” into Iran and “occupying” it; (2) Israel, as one of the world’s smallest countries, cannot and doesn’t intend to “contain” anyone, and (3) oh, how I wish the US post WW II policy were not one “March on Moscow” after another!

The best tactic for Israel in the past, now and for the forseeable future is to deliver a few powerful punches from aircraft and submarines, and then leave the Iranians to clean up the mess: AND THE BIGGER THE MESS, THE BETTER. Israel, of course, will have to brace for “retalliation” from terrorist groups like Huzbullah and Fatah; but such “retalliations” are so commonplace, and based on the most fanciful of “provocations”, they aren’t worth any special consideration.

The best time to attack Iran, by the way, is right now, while I’m typing. It’s called

    SURPRIZE!!! 🙂

More pertinently this is not the first time the US has left Israel drying in the wind and Israel has a lot more people and power now thna in the fifties. US forcing Israel out of Sinai in 1957 – and in Jan ’49 – without a peace treaty only led to re-runs of Egyptian aggression till the penny dropped after 1967. There was also similar US/UK behaviour in 1950 – 54 when they tried in Project Alpha to persuade Israel to accept an Egyptian corridor across the Negev to Jordan – complete with fly-over across the Eilat road, but Nasser laughed it all out of court.

Third the Saudi Monarchy is NOT dead till it is dead, and there have been some odd pipped at the post reversals in history. Arabs might hate Israel but their hatred for Shiites is relatively incandescent and they could easily close around that standard against Persian Iran’s plain imperialist revivalism.

The fact that Egypt has turned into a sharia entity might on all precedents be an aggravating weakness shutting down the little NON-tramline thinking in the culture. Then Egypt has no significant energy supply and no significant industrial capacity with which to be more than a negative in Europe and American policy.

  5. @ Laura:

Fortunately Israel doesn’t need the 5+1, since Israel is more than capable of fighting its own battles, and that includes taking on Iran.

It’s not about what Israel needs — In the eyes of the “5+1”, they don’t even exist. Wouldn’t they be surprized, to see bombs suddenly going off all over Iran, from a country that doesn’t even exist? That would positively make my day 🙂

Unfortunately, I don’t think Bibi would do such a thing. He’s too much in love with playing politics, and all its perks. I don’t think he believes Israel exists either 🙁

  6. Kahli is of course right. The U.S. has abondonned Israel as it has done in the
past and as European “friends” like England and France have also done in the past. This is not news. Surely everyone (perhaps except for American Jews) have known
that Obama is not a friend of Israel nor a friend of American Jews.

  7. The 5+1 is more frightened about what attacking Iran will do to their pocketbooks than they are about a nuclear Iran. Ted Belman

Europe thinks Iran’s nuclear weapons would only threaten Israel, so therefore it is of no concern to them. But they will face a rude awakening.

Fortunately Israel doesn’t need the 5+1 to come to its rescue since Israel is more than capable of fighting its own battles, and that includes taking on Iran. Israel will bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities and wind up being the one to save the free world rather than vice versa. Thank G-d Israel does not have to depend on Europe or Obama for its survival.
