Is the US on the same moral level as Hamas?

If this report is true, then the behavior of my government is worse than despicable:
Following reports that Israel and the U.S. are engaged in advanced negotiations over the release of convicted Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard, the Shas ultra-Orthodox newspaper Yom l’Yom [Day to Day] reported Thursday morning that disputes have arisen between the two sides over the details of the deal.
According to the Shas newspaper, the U.S. said it will agree to release Pollard only under condition that he continue to be imprisoned in Israel. The Israelis, however, demand Pollard’s full and permanent release. The report said that despite their disagreements the two sides are trying to come to a compromise.
Last week, a local Jerusalem newspaper reported that Pollard, who is serving a life sentence for espionage in a North Carolina prison, could be released in exchange for Israel agreeing to a settlement freeze.
I have discussed the Pollard case in numerous posts. Here’s some of what I said the last time:
Pollard’s hugely disproportionate sentence — Pollard is the only American who has been given a life sentence for spying for an ally — the government’s reneging on his plea bargain, his treatment in prison, far worse than that of Soviet spy Aldrich Ames, for whose crimes Pollard may have been blamed, and the continued lack of an acceptable rationale from the government, tell us that there is something ‘special’ about this case.
One thing that is special, in my opinion, is that Pollard knows something that would be embarrassing to some US officials. This explains the demand that he continue to be imprisoned in Israel. Certainly there would be a secret protocol that he would not be able to speak publicly. The evil that is being done to this man, who has more than paid for his crime, is remarkable.
But I wonder what moral cretin in the administration came up with the idea of trading him for a settlement freeze. It probably went something like this:
The Jews will do anything to get one of their people back. Look what they paid for Shalit! This yid is just costing us to feed him in Butner [Federal Prison], so why let him die and go to waste? Let’s see what we can get for him.
Maybe it isn’t true. I hope not. That is, I want to see Pollard released as much as anyone, and I hope he will be freed to live his last days in Israel with his wife, who has dedicated herself to saving him.
What I can’t face is that my government may be on the same moral level as Hamas.
You two belong to the whiny, cry-baby segment of Jewish opinion. Obama’s puppetmasters include Jewish men and women. 78% of American Jews helped elect this clueless moron. Even now, when that absurd 78% is down to a still too high 45%, Obama foremost supporters and fundraisers are Jews.
Linda Rivera lives on another planet. Jon Pollard is not a political prisoner – he was convicted of espionage against his country on behalf of Israel. You can opine that his sentence was too harsh, as I do, and he should be released, but you cannot brazenly lie by calling him a political prisoner just because he is a Jew.
OK. But, how about adding Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid to the deal, in addition to Obama, so that the whole world will benefit? Perhaps David Axelrod, Barbara Boxer, Rahm Emmanuel, Alan Dershowitz and Ed Koch as well?
Oh, wait! Why don’t we give these folk to Hamas, whom they sympathize with, in return for a pint of hummus? That sounds like a fair exchange.

Lies, damn lies and statistics. How can France and Germany be listed under Europe and separately? Also, the UK’s economy has been far greater than France’s for decades.
Political prisoner, Pollard, was horribly persecuted and given an unjust life sentence for the sole reason he is a Jew. It is unforgivable. How despicable that the elites would demand anything in exchange for freeing Pollard who has been unjustly imprisoned all these many years.
The mistreatment of Michael Pollard is nothing new in U.S. treatment of Jews who “misbehave”. We should never forget what was done to the Rosenbergs. Gentiles who steal US secrets are not executed, nor do they receive life sentences.
How about a non-prisoner exchange. If Israel takes Pollard it must take Obama also

I think the Israeli AND American governments are waiting for Jonathan to die, so they and the quisling American Jewish Community can all send dignitaries to a ceremony unveiling a “Jonathan Pollard Memorial”. Human life is very cheap to these people.
I was an insider and I did not do my homework. Originally I felt: “lock him up and throw away the key”. Then, as I learned more and more I felt that I had been negligent and that the Justice Department had been a practitioner of what should not be allowed our democracy (undo influence on the judge through misstatements; and withholding evidence from the defense).
Further, my task (to determine the vulnerabilities so they would never happen again) informed me that many of the accusations made against Pollard were false: examples include that the Soviets received the information ;that agents of the United States have been executed as a result of his actions. All of this this was incorrect. When the Soviet Union fell we had complete access to their files and much to our surprise they had not penetrated Israeli intelligence as we had assumed. The damage was caused by the CIA themselves and their failure to detect Aldrich Ames. Other damage was caused by the FBI’s failure to detect a leak within the FBI. The more my team looked ,the less we found that could be attributed to Jonathan Pollard.
For anyone to say today that he should have been executed is either tremendously misinformed or tremendously biased. For the sake of your soul I hope it is that you are misinformed.

BTW Pelltier is a murderer. He deserves to be imprisoned and should not be compared to Pollard who did something that ordinarily results in a 2-4 year prison sentence.
He has to prove he isn’t showing favoritism toward Israel? Pollard has already received an extremely disproportionately high sentence for what he was accused of doing compared to others. Someone spying for Egypt received 2 years in prison, I think. Maybe it was 4. If Pollard were to be released after all this time, anyone claiming our government is showing favoritism toward Israel is surely an anti-Semite.
For its size, Israel has a very powerful economy.

Another deal that is being discussed according to DOJ officials is that Pollard will based but so will Leonard Pelletier the American Indian activist that many on The Left feel was framed by the FBI for the murders of two of its agents long ago in a shootout on one of the Sioux Reservations. I had a correspondence with Jonathan Pollard’s late dad, and he was familiar with the outlines of this deal. Pelltier is as much a cause celebre to liberals and leftists as Pollard is to Jewish conservatives. The CIA wants Pollard to rot in prison forever. The FBI is as draconian in its hatred of Pelltier. Obama could satisfy two constituencies at once, and make it seem as if he’s not showing favortism to Israel alone.
What are successive Israeli Govts hiding from the public about US and pollard, I’m sure they know why successive US govts keep pollard imprisoned. Or is it just meant to keep the jew in his place?
They talk about Pollard. When Michael Schwartz (not Jewish btw…) was caught spying for Saudi Arabia, he received no prison time. And just how much of an accident was it that Saudis and egyptians did 9/11? The wife of the much loved former Saudi ambassador to the U.S., Princess Haifa, wrote out money to one of the hijackers, claiming he was sick.
Former Saudi Ambassador, Prince Bandar, is regarded as a James Bond type character by the staunch admirer of the Arab/Muslims, Arnaud DeBouchgrave.
Pollard should have been released long ago and I think he is a hero. That information he gave was witheld from Israel in violation of their agreement between the two countries.

Recently I wrote an essay about connections between the martyrdom of Jonathan Pollard, Hanukkah and the End of Days. I here will distill those remarks to a few basic points indicating that Pollard’s situation is that of Israel in the world, its relation to America’s rulers in particular and of the relation of the Jews of Israel to their own government.
In the early 1980s, Jonathan Pollard was an American Naval Intelligence Officer who became aware that the American State and Military establishment was withholding from Israel intelligence about Syrian, Iraqi, Libyan and Iranian missile and WMD that were targeting Israel. The United States had a memorandum of understanding with Israel that it would share such information but under Admiral Bobby Ray Inman it did not. Pollard was alarmed; giving the information to media might have resulted in its burial. He passed the information to Israel helping to save it from Saddam’s plans and prevented America from being an accomplice to genocide.More…
Pollard had stumbled on the main fact of modern geopolitics: Israel is meant to be sacrificed; it is not meant to survive, both jihadists and those at the highest levels of the western powers who exploit their genocidal and imperial ambitions are united in the wish to erase Israel. By discovering the cover-up and sharing the info that could save Israel Pollard had thwarted this great and evil design and the powers proceeded to do to him what they are by planned stages doing to Israel.
When Pollard was discovered, he sought refuge and help from officials in the Israeli embassy who betrayed and have continued to betray him to those who target all of Israel, just as they betray the Jews of Israel to these same powers. Naturally he thought they wished to save Israel and would save him: wrong.
Charged with one count of espionage, the American legal system perverted itself in condemning and sentencing Pollard for treason, in effect burying him alive just as the Israeli legal system, pushed by America’s puppets in Jerusalem condemns, violates and buries the Jews of Israel behind walls, under rockets and debris that they allow to be shot, trying to break the spirit of the Jews and send them packing. He was sentenced to life while those who have spied for Egypt, Russia, the House of Saud, among others, taking intelligence on American capabilities (which Pollard did not) sometimes receive no sentence other than deportation.
Neither Pollard nor Israel are meant to survive; there is no place for them in the World Security State in which the Promise and memory of the G-d of Israel is to become at most a curio, a sideshow in Brooklyn or LA, not a living presence, not a fulfilled national being. If some country is more slimy than the US, please let us all know. If there is a more wretched president than Obama, ditto. Yet, why did Canada not arrest Dubya and Cheney on their promotional visits to that country? Who knows what Rudolf Hess had to say? Why the disproportionate punishment at Spandau? We are all in crunch time now. China, Russia, the US, and Israel are vying for King of the Hill status. The search for minerals and oil continues at a frenetic pace. Lives will be sacrificed for these commodities. Is there any wonder why the stakes are so high and governments are so lyingly brutish? Welcome to Mankind at its Worst. The US has clearly turned hostile towards Jews. The hostility by both non Jewish and Jewish American towards Israel, is nothing more than a socially acceptable method of expressing antisemitism. The treatment of Jonathan Pollard is one of the most prominent examples of the extent of Jew hatred. If Pollard had been caught spying for Great Britain he would not have spent one day in jail. Pollard is being punished more severely than Walker and Ames .
Jonathan would not want to be released under these terms. Hasn’t anyone bothered to consult him or Esther?
Add to that, the fact that Obama is in the dog house with American Jews, and that elections are a year away, and I think you have it.
