Europe’s support for unconditional negotiations is phony because they keep demanding negotiations to be based on ’67 borders. For that matter even recognizing the legitimacy of a state is both predetermining the outcome and setting a pre-condition.
Israel should not tolerate such interference. She should tell the EU and Turkey where to get off. Israel owes EU nothing. The PA on the other hand gets 500 million from them. They should make demands on the PA. Ted Belman

The European Parliament on Thursday passed a resolution calling the Palestinian bid for statehood “legitimate.”
“The right of Palestinians to self-determination and to have their own state is unquestionable, as is the right of Israel to exist within safe borders”, the resolution said.
The European Parliament also reiterated its endorsement of the 1967 borders as a basis for negotiations, stressing that “no changes to the pre-1967 borders, including with regard to Jerusalem, other than those agreed by the parties should be accepted.” The parliamentarians urged Israel’s government to halt settlement construction.
Members of European Parliament also stressed that EU states and the international community should reconfirm their strong commitment to Israel’s security.
‘Stop building them’
Earlier this week, the EU slammed Israel’s decision to build new homes in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Gilo. EU Foreign Policy Chief Catherin Ashton told the EU Parliament that she heard “with deep regret” that Israeli plans to build homes beyond the Green Line were continuing.
“The expansion of settlements threatens the viability of an agreed two-state solution,” Ashton said. “This plan should be reversed.”
And the good news are.
We live in the North of Israel for many years so our vacations are away from teh Golan and Galilee.
About three weeks ago we enjoyed a four day vacation in Jerusalem and Yehuda & Shomron.
Construction, while not at a pace I would like to see, is proceeding very nicely all over.
I noticed that the buildings near the access road to Hebron, within Hebron are being vacated by the islamics. Almost all are derelict and crumbling.
We particularly enjoyed the new light rail system serving Jerusalem. It travels from Har Hertzl to Air Force Station close to Pisgat Zeev. It happily goes through SHIMON HATZADIK, Ammunition Hill, and what we enjoyed very much is the fact that it travels trough A-Sahal, SHOAFAT and Bet Chaninah which are known claims of the Ramallah gangs. Israel has made a very large investment by setting up such ultra modern urban rail system and INCLUDING all of Jerusalem.
That and other details we observed, says more than thousands of words…
Yes.
It was precisely those borders that tempted the Arab aggression of 1967.
They WEREN’T “safe” borders.
Why would they be any safer now — when Arab weaponry is massively greater than it was before?
Europe, before you demand little Israel surrender her tiny land to global jihad, first surrender half of YOUR countries and capitals to colonizing Islam.
Europe, what are you going to do about your many no-go Muslim areas in Europe and the UK where it is too dangerous for non-Muslims to enter? In some Muslim areas in Europe, ambulances require a police escort, the hate for non-Muslims is so fierce.
All Palestinian Authority maps show the new state of “Palestine” covering all Israel. The goal: conquest of Israel and annihilation of the Jewish people. In the Palestinian Authority, summer camps, schools and city squares are dedicated to, and named after savage terrorist killers of Jews. Barbaric killers of Jewish innocents are regarded as huge heroes by PA Muslims.
It is no secret that Palestinian Authority/PLO/Hamas/Hizbullah/Iran/Syria, et al are planning a Second Holocaust.
Jews are denied not just safety by Europe and the nations; Jews are denied survival.
A big AMEN. How do you say “Amen” in Turkish?
I’ve always thought the Mariana Trench was the perfect spot for a palestinian homeland.

Of course this retroactively legitimizes the 1948-1967 illegal Jordanian occupation of Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria and the ethnic cleansing of Jews.
The above statement contradicts this statement:
Fine.
So we’ll give the Palis a state on the Left Bank (no I DIDN’T say the “West Bank”)
— of the Seine River.
Or maybe in the Nejd — containing the city of Riyadh.
Or perhaps on the banks of the Volga.
Catherine Ashton’s back yard could be good too.
But as long as we’re playing Santa Claus with somebody else’s property, how ’bout the Sudetenland?
Actually there must be lots of places where we could give them a state.
In fact, most any place is fine, just not between the River Jordan & the Mediterranean — where Israel’s borders wouldn’t be safe.
Yes, do that.
“Reconfirm” what has been already “confirmed” so many times in the past.
“Agreed”? — agreed by whom?
Anybody hear about any general, country-wide PLEBISCITE in Israel asking how the populace feels about “agreeing” to the proposition? — ever?
“Threatens the viability of” putting an Arab state in there, does it?
Guess it’s clear what has to be done then. . . .
