Columbia U backs down

By Ted Belman

You will recall that the Law Forum run by Nitsana Darshan Leitner sent a ” lawyer’s letter” to Pres Bollinger of Columbia U advising him that Columbia U would be sued if the University hosted Ahymedinajad to a dinner.

The Law Forum advises,

Columbia University quickly backed away from the planned event and claimed that the University was not involved and it had been organized by a “private” Columbia student group. Whatever that is. In the wake of the public furor it was finally reported that the banquet had been canceled and that the Columbia students did not participate in meeting with the Iranian terrorist leader. Strike up another legal victory for the good guys.

Where was ACLU or the ADL or any other mainstream Jewish organization to be found. No where.

  1. What all amoral and self-interested cowards count on is that sheep follow. Only the “black sheep” or the independent misfit that thinks for himself or herself leads. Fortunately the Jewish people have a respectable percentage of the latter (e.g., 2 Jews = 3 opinions). It is my privilege to belong to that important minority well-represented by Israpundit writers and readers. L’Shana Tovah.

  2. “American Jewish leaders”? These are not leaders but slavish followers of the worst sort of political correctness. With the exception of Mort Klein and a few others the rest are worse than useless and would make good kapos.

  3. Ted,

The fight is our own. The generals are cowards. It is up to the soldiers.

I still think this would be a good place to organize the counter attack.

I will do all I can to support such an effort.
