Tommy Robinson , the EDL and the British Gov’t

The Gates of Vienna has the full story starting with this statement by the EDL

Tommy Robinson: A Patriot and a Martyr

A martyr is someone who suffers for a cause. And Tommy is most definitely someone who has suffered for his.

He is currently in a cell in Bedford Prison, having broken his bail conditions in order to attend the EDL demonstration in Tower Hamlets. There were many good reasons why we chose to demonstrate in Tower Hamlets, and Tommy simply felt that he could not sit idly by whilst the movement he founded took to the streets to protest against the formation of Britain’s ‘Islamic Republic’ (not our words, but those of a “very senior figure in the Tower Hamlets Labour Party”).

Ever since the EDL was founded we have found ourselves battling against politicians, but we have also sought to maintain a commitment to peaceful protest, respect the role played by the police, and never seek to undermine the law of the land. Tommy’s decision to break his bail conditions was therefore far from an easy one. It was not a reckless decision, but one made with a full appreciation of the likely consequences.

Tommy judged that the right to free speech, the right to peaceful protest, and his duty to speak out against the tyrannical influence of radical Islam, outweighed the court’s decision to place such strict limitations on his freedoms; a decision lent weight by the European Court of Human Rights’ rulings on the right to freedom of assembly.

He judged, quite rightly, that in breaking his bail conditions he would treated far more harshly than we have seen radical Muslims treated. He was certain this would send a clear signal to anyone concerned about freedom of speech or about the influence of radical Islam in this country, that our freedoms are under attack, and the government, the courts, and the media are yet to wake up to the threat. In the worst cases, they’re even complicit in this attack on freedom.

If anything, the fact that Tommy will spend the rest of the week in prison just confirms what many of us will have suspected for a long time: that the charges against him are motivated more by politics than they are by the desire to see justice done. That makes them all the more suspect.

BE SURE TO READ THE REST.

Tommy Robinson: Political Prisoner

The English Defense League has released a long, passionate and patriotic statement regarding the arrest of EDL leader Tommy Robinson. It is a testament to the state of crisis ordinary British people endure on the streets of British cities and towns where they are forced by anti-democratic, sheltered elites to live State Islamization. The statement is also an explanation: Tommy Robinson protests; Tommy Robinson inspires protest. Therefore, Tommy Robinson must be jailed.

  1. They allow it because of appeasement of thier Saudi overlords for energy. Drill baby drill! I’d rather see the occasional oil spill in the Gulf of MExico than spend another dollar on oil that pads the pockets of Islam!

  2. The major problem for Europe and the UK is that they have taken in such colossal numbers of Muslims who, often on free welfare benefits and housing, etc. produce very large families so that by sheer numbers alone, it is said that all of Europe and the UK in just a few years will be Islamic nations ruled by Muslims. Very, very frightening.

It is also said that America, Canada, Australia and other nations because of Muslim immigration and large families will also become Islamic nations. Muslim conquest via massive Muslim immigration. Our freedom, safety and human rights will be totally annihilated. Our nation’s leaders are completely to blame for allowing this horrifying future nightmare.

  3. No,I am not in the u.k.Yes I have heard of the milibands.I am not a fan of the british Labour party, however like conservatives they have their respective labour and conservative friends of Israel, and the majority in each group are gentile.Your opinion is noted, however proof of your views on the CST is what is requested.

  4. @ g.man:

I take it you are from the UK and have never heard of the Milibands??? – those I did link with Obama in the states are so-called Jewish “Establishment” leaders here who have a history of sucking up to the Democratic Party, often to the detriment of Israel and even the Jewish community in the states. Maybe I assume that your CST is no better, but I am familiar that many Jewish communal leaders in Britain too sucked up to the Labour Party even with its pro-Palestinian bent, slightly bent when Blair was PM, but back to square one afterwards. Also Jewish community leaders in Britain have gone out of their way too many times to appease or find common ground with a Moslem Council of Britain that so often whitewashes or makes excuses for the militant, and yes, terrorist activities of their brethren.

And yes, while you may be right about British Jews eschewing the EDL, it may very well be at their own detriment, especially if the CST is more like the “establishment” phonies here and not like the JDL.

  5. I have no knowledge of the names you mentioned,as you link them with Barak Hussain Obama I assume they are politicians and from the U.S.The CST has a history of protcting British Jews, and has evolved to the organisation it is today.I am confident you cannot bring proof of the detrimental comments you make about them, and should therefore consider retracting them. The edl do feel strongly about the rise of Islam in the U.K. and take action they feel may remedy the situation, and they may have a small number of Jews within their ranks, however should you ask a British Jew who they would prefer to protect them,I am certain they would choose the CST.All their volunteers are Jews.Their function is the protection of the community, not confrontation.

  6. The EDL, from what I’ve heard, is not the British National Party, the BNP, and its members do include Jews who have written me and said there is little, if any anti-Semitism in the organization and certainly none from its leadership. They are Brits who want their country back and are tired of Sharia. I take little faith in the Community Security Trust because I am quite sure they consist of the same Jews who love the Labour party and its self-hating Miliband brothers who honestly are not much better than their Islamofascist friends.

If I had to choose between an EDL that wants to protect me if I were a British Jew, and the worn-out “establishment” types of the CST who are honestly British carbon copies of Obama arselickers like Alan So-Low, Booby Wexler, and Hoenlein, thank you, I’ll take the EDL.

  7. I understand the dislike Bob has for the Guardian, and the JC,I hope he will agree that the Community Security Trust has no agenda except the protection of British Jews, and they do not care for the EDL at all.Perhaps they have information on their web site on the matter.

  8. The EDL are against Muslim “Extremism” Not any other group such as Hindus, Sikhs, Jews etc.

As someone on the EDL site said Goodbye guys and gals. We gave it a try. Immigration worked with everyone else. Just not muslims. No hard feelings. Have a nice life, just have it somewhere else.

As for the JC Jewish Chronicle., I stopped reading that back in 1970s when I became politically aware enough to realize that it was a far left publication on the same level as the UKs Guradian

  9. Please read the article at http://www.thejc.com.This will give a better view of this man and the edl.Their is serious doubt if he and they are true friends of Israel and Jews. The community security trust, a u.k. charity that assists in the security of the Jewish community in the u.k. have reservations about the edl.
