According to HAARETZ, Netanyahu told his cabinet that it’s more important to ‘preserve a solid Jewish majority inside the State of Israel’ than holding land home to a Palestinian majority.
He also said the number of Palestinians and Jews between the Jordan River and the sea “is irrelevant” and that it’s more important to “preserve a solid Jewish majority inside the State of Israel.”
This is a bombshell. Now we know where he is going. In no way does his argument support ’67 lines with swaps which he seems to accept. Why not keep all of area C and B and give autonomy only on A.
Obama may be right when he tells Jewish donors that U.S.-Israel disagreements are only ‘tactical’
Prof. Sergio DellaPergola, reports demographic studies which show that, in a number of years, the demographic trends will result in a Palestinian majority between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea.
This is a big lie. I attended a conference last night in which Yoram Ettinerger presented demographic studies which come to the opposite conclusion. I believe Ettinger’s analysis.
-
Ministers Limor Livnat and Uzi Landau were surprised by the data and asked that the data of other experts be presented – for example, the data of Yoram Ettinger, who is affiliated with the right. The right argue that the demographic threat to the State of Israel is not so serious.
The prime minister cut short the discussion and surprised those present with previously unspoken sentiments about the future Israeli presence in the West Bank.
“The debate over how many Jews and how many Palestinians will be between the Jordan and the sea is irrelevant,”
“It does not matter to me whether there are half a million more Palestinians or less because I have no wish to annex them into Israel. I want to separate from them so that they will not be Israeli citizens. I am interested that there be a solid Jewish majority inside the State of Israel. Inside its borders, as these will be defined,”
Aides of the PM realized how politically explosive his statements were and asked all those present in the room to avoid disseminating the details.
The Prime Minister’s Office did not brief the media on the statements and refused to respond to questions on the issue or provide any quotes about the statements of the PM.
As I said, keep Area C and give them autonomy in Area A.
This why Netanyahu has been courting Kadimah. He knows without them in the government he is vulnerable to the opposition from the right.
BB is Bad for the Jews and a disaster for Israel!!! Dump him any-way, any-how!!!!
Netanyahu is the fool of Wye, the betrayer of Hevron, the step-and-fetch-it of the moneyed class. There is no significant difference between him and the most extreme of the unJews. His fundamental loyalty is only to himself and not to the Jewish people.
THE CANARD OF A ‘DEMOGRAPHIC IMPERATIVE’ TO GIVE AWAY JUDEA AND SAMARIA TO THE PLO THUGOCRACY HAS BEEN CONSISTENTLY SHOWN TO BE FALSE. ZIMMERMAN ET AL SHOWED THAT EVEN RETAINING JUDEA AND SAMARIA WITH THE CURRENT ARAB POPULATION THE PROJECTIONS SHOW A CLEAR JEWISH MAJORITY BETWEEN THE JORDAN AND THE MEDITERRANEAN!!! DE LA PERGOLA IS SHAMEFUL THAT HE MISUSES ‘DEMOGRAPHY’ TO SERVE HIS LEFTIST,SECULAR AND ANTI-JEWISH MASTERS!!!
Its a straw-man argument. There is no reason to give up parts of Yesha! No one in Israel advocates annexing the Arabs.
Israeli political elite does what it wants regardless of the facts!
The White House controls Israeli nuclear program. Netanyahu government bowed down to the American pressure: This Time BB caved-in to the Americans in secret till NOW!
Israel joined the ranks of Eastern European failing states which delivered their enriched uranium to the US. Over the years, the White House forced them to abandon their nuclear stocks, mostly depleted uranium from power plants.
Since 1960s, Israel refused to deliver her depleted uranium because it would allow the United States to control the size of our nuclear program. Nor is there any sense in expatriating Israeli uranium as we have plenty of space in the desert, and also can use it for weapons.
Israel reveals it has returned dozens of kilograms of nuclear waste to U.S.
Israel’s Nuclear Energy Commission head tells IAEA commission that Sorek reactor’s nuclear waste was returned to U.S. as part of agreement, while Dimona still stores nuclear waste.

Israel has returned nuclear waste from its Sorek nuclear reactor to the U.S., the head of Israel’s Nuclear Energy Commission Dr Shaul Horev revealed on Monday. Read more
This is BB Netanyahu in all his innate weakness and cowardice, even the slimes Olmert and Sharon didn’t budge on this issue. BB is worse for Israel Than Obama is for America.
Bibi and his Munchkin – Bibi is no good. He is duplicit and I see him as Israel’s version of Bill Clinton/GWBush in one package – a mystery of who he really is. But he will leave Israel in a weaker state and Gilad Shalit dead or still in captivity.
As for his munchkin, Barak why is this pig still in the govt? His legacy is a disaster.
This is the reason why I refuse to go to Israel with my kids. Germany is safer for Jews.
Anyone know where I can find a mobile grassy knoll?
Israel’s politicians have been paying lip service to voluntary partitioning for years. The song remains the same no matter who is singing it.
I have met Yoram Ettinger and he has shown me his demographic study. It is thorough and it examines Palestinian claims of number of births and compares them with school enrollments in subsequent years, etc.
Jews, especially religious Jews, actually have a higher birthrate than Palestinians.
It may defy conventional wisdom, but it puts the lie to the demographic threat and that means there’s NO reason to give up Judea amd Samaria for the reasons Bibi says.
Stand strong Israel. Stand strong against the lies.
I agree 200%. I have been saying this for over 20 years.
Oops, in above comment meant to say that Islam as a theopolitical system needs to fail before peace will be realistic. Really Islam needs to disappear from the Western societies also or we will not have peaceful civil societies. Islam is a bad totalitarian supremacist system and it needs to be ended everywhere on Earth. Islam never should have been allowed into the west and there will be hell to pay to free ourselves of it’s evil presence.
At the present, a solution seems unlikely. Islam as a theopolitical system probably needs to occur first. Perhaps if Israel becomes a giant energy exporter and cuts into the Saudi and Gulf Countries huge wealth, the existing Arab/Islamic system will go broke and fail. Islam allows a Truce with infidels but no real honest peaceful relations.
“Right wing camp”?
But Netanyahu has been bunking with the “left wing camp” ever since the last election.
Speaking of the “left wing camp”, they have to try and ruin everything Jewish.
Israel Rising has a point. We don’t know if this story is credible considering the source, who may be playing a divide and conquer strategy with the right wing camp.
As much as I skeptical of our current leadership’s ability to do what needs to be done: annex Yehuda and the Shomron, I am also skeptical of the Leftist Press, especially Haaretz’s reporting. It is trying to take down the gov’t by sowing mistrust in the Right Wing camp. When I see other reports to this end I will believe it.
Lots of “we told you so’s” here at Israpundit.
Man this is depressing. Thinking of Bibi and Olmert, I’m reminded of a line in a song by the Who: “meet the new boss, same as the old boss, we won’t get fooled again”.
I’m the last one to say I told you so!
This has been BB’s goal since before he was elected and all the information was available and plain for anyone with eyes, ears and a min. amount of grey matter in their cerebellum.
Tomorrow he will lie and deny and most of you kool-aid drinkers will once again fall in line and give him credit for verbal remarks that were designed to be pleasing to your ears.
Demagogue: A politician who seeks to win and hold office by appeals to mass prejudice. Demagogues often use lies and distortion.
A leader who attempts to gain a following by appealing to the emotions and prejudices of people in order to advance his or her political purposes.
The only way Israel can have a viable two state solution, is is a US administration publicly endorses a transfer of population. Even at that, the second “state” could not be a state at all: It could only consist of Arab-majority enclaves under the local control of neighboring countries such as Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon, with Israel controlling defense and foreign policy. The geography of Israel does not lend itself to any other “two state” solution. When the Arabs accept this reality, it is possible to negotiate; otherwise, negotiations are a waste of time and effort.
