Obama Well Knows What Chaos He Has Unleashed

By Victor Sharpe, AMERICAN THINKER

Not content with creating havoc in the U.S. economy, setting Americans against each other, and forcing through a health reform act which has nothing to do with health but everything to do with the redistribution of wealth and an immense increase in governmental interference, our president has now opened a Pandora’s Box in the Middle East. It may well usher in a catastrophe not seen since World War 2.

From his notorious Cairo speech to the present, President Obama speaks, and disaster follows. Some commentators believe that President Obama and Secretary of State Clinton are so utterly naïve as to make themselves unable to understand what will happen in Egypt as a result of their undermining of the Mubarak regime.

The question is justifiably asked: Do they truly believe that the next regime that comes to power will have the interests of the U.S. and the West at heart?

My fear is that Obama is not naïve at all, but he instead knows only too well what he is doing, for he is eagerly promoting Islamic power in the world while diminishing the West and Israel, however much innocent blood will flow as a result.

Inevitably, sooner or later, the Muslim Brotherhood will take power, usher in a barbaric Islamist power in Egypt that will control the Suez Canal, and show no mercy to its own people or its perceived foes.

So now we see what the present incumbent in the White House has wrought, and so can our few remaining allies. They must now wonder what confidence they can ever have in any future alliance with the United States.

We should be aware of what endemic Islamic violence has wrought in the past. For example, assassinations of Arab leaders are not an infrequent occurrence. After the 1948 Arab-Israel War, the King of Jordan, Abdullah, was murdered by followers of the Muslim fanatic, the Mufti of Jerusalem.

The Egyptian prime minister, Nokrashi Pasha, was also struck down. The forces behind the killings were elements of both Arab socialist movements and the Muslim Brotherhood. Today, in the streets of Cairo, we have an unholy alliance of the current radical left with the same Muslim Brotherhood.

The Suez Canal is a major lifeline for the economies of Europe and the United States. It has been the source of political disruption in the past, as it may well be in the near future. And the Muslim Brotherhood may soon control it. As always, the past is our guidepost to the future.

In 1952, Gamal Abdul Nasser seized control of the Egyptian state and forged an alliance with the Soviet Union, which provided enormous arms shipments to Egypt.

Feeling greatly empowered, Nasser broke both the 1949 Armistice Agreement with Israel and international law by blocking the Suez Canal to Israeli ships and other vessels bringing cargoes to and from the Jewish state. At the same time, Nasser blockaded the narrow Straits of Tiran at the foot of the Sinai peninsula, thus preventing Israeli maritime trade with the Far East and Africa.

Nasser eventually nationalized the Suez Canal on July 27, 1956. This illegal act threatened the oil supplies to Britain and France from the Middle East. The economic stranglehold on Israel became intolerable, and Arab terrorism against the Jewish state led to many Israeli civilian deaths. (Incidentally, Arab terrorism began long before the so-called Israeli “occupation,” which Arab and pro-Arab propagandists now use as the excuse for present Arab aggression against Israel.)

In October 1956, war by Britain, France, and Israel against Egypt broke out. Israeli forces, in what became known as the One Hundred Hours War, defeated the Egyptians in Sinai and Gaza and broke the naval blockade. Britain and France invaded the Canal Zone to end Nasser’s blockade of the Suez Canal.

Under U.S. Secretary of State John Foster Dulles, Britain and France were eventually forced out of Egypt. This was, as future events showed, a dreadful blunder on the part of the Eisenhower administration. It was the beginning of Britain’s decline as a world power. It also led to Nasser remaining in power.

The Egyptian dictator’s political and pan-Arab ambitions again climaxed in 1967. Nasser again blockaded the Suez Canal to Israeli shipping and reinstituted the naval blockade at the mouth of the Tiran Straits.

This in turn led, in 1967, to the hasty withdrawal of the U.N. buffer force that had been in place to prevent further Egyptian aggression against Israel. U.N. Secretary General U. Thant folded under Arab pressure and arbitrarily withdrew the buffer force. Egyptian armed forces then entered the Sinai, heading for the Israeli border.

The Arab and Muslim world called then, just as now, for Israel’s extermination, and huge mobs in Arab capitals uttered lurid threats for Israel’s defeat and the slaughter of her people. The world prepared for Israel’s destruction, but everyone was astonished when in June 1967, Israel — forced to fight a defensive war of survival — destroyed the combined Egyptian, Syrian, and Jordanian armies and air forces within six days.

The Suez Canal and the Straits of Tiran were again open for the free passage of Israeli ships. Nasser fell from power and was replaced by Anwar Sadat. However, in 1973, the Syrian and Egyptian armies attacked Israel on the holiest day in the Jewish religious calendar, Yom Kippur, which gave its name to the war.

Israel was hard put to survive initially, but she gradually beat back the Arab threat. Sadat eventually decided that war was not an option for the time being and chose to make peace with Israel.

Israel vacated the entire Sinai desert (95% of the territories Israel conquered) and gave up the oil-producing facilities it had developed at Abu Rodeis — all in return for a signed peace agreement with Egypt. Jordan eventually followed Egypt’s decision, but both Arab nations maintained a frigid peace with the Jewish state.

Anwar Sadat was subsequently assassinated by members of the Muslim Brotherhood. His successor was Hosni Mubarak, who, for the last thirty years, has kept control over the seething Egyptian masses and the volatile Arab street.

Now his thirty-year rule has been fatally undermined by U.S. President, Barack Hussein Obama, in a betrayal that is as astonishing as it is deplorable.

It is clear to any child that a new Egyptian regime will, if not immediately, be hijacked by the Muslim Brotherhood, which is now calling for Egypt to prepare itself again for war with Israel and for the blockading of the Suez Canal to American, Western, and Israeli shipping. Obama is no fool; he engineered this.

So, thanks to President Obama, we are back to square one with an Islamic Egyptian regime poised to send Egypt’s massively armed army back into Sinai and towards the Israeli border with the aim of exterminating the Jewish state. So much for “land for peace.”

But what economic turmoil would a new Egyptian Islamic closure of the Canal mean to the West?

It is estimated that slightly more than two million barrels of crude oil and refined petroleum products flow both north and south through the Suez Canal every day.

In 2009, for example, almost 35,000 ships transited the Suez Canal, and 10 percent were petroleum tankers. Oil shipments from the Persian Gulf travel through the Canal primarily to European ports, but also to the United States.

Additionally, the Sumed Oil pipeline provides an alternative to the Suez Canal, transporting as much as 3 million barrels of crude oil from Saudi Arabia and several Gulf states. It amounts to up to seven percent of Europe’s oil needs. Since the violence erupted in Egypt, European oil prices have risen far more than they have in the United States.

If the Muslim Brotherhood, which was founded in 1928, takes over Egypt, it is more than likely that both the Canal and the pipeline would be shut again, causing oil tankers to travel around the Cape of Good Hope, adding six thousand miles to the journey to Europe alone. Not what an economically strapped Europe wants.

At the same time, the Brotherhood, now governing over 80 million Egyptians and possessing a huge military, would join with a radicalized Yemen in blockading the Bab al Mandeb straits at the foot of the Red Sea.

Add to the noxious mix the Islamic Republic of Iran, and we may well see the closure of the Gulf of Oman, with additional disruptions of oil shipments to the West. The economic reality for America will be catastrophic.

Under Obama’s watch, the true democratic revolution against the mullahs in Iran was snuffed out because the American president refused to support the demonstrators in the streets of Tehran. In contrast, the same Obama ordered Hosni Mubarak to leave office and let the rioters in Cairo have “free” elections.

Following Condoleezza Rice’s naïve call for “free” and democratic elections in Gaza, a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood (Hamas) used the democratic process to come to power and immediately trashed all semblance of democracy by instituting oppressive sharia law and raining thousands of missiles upon Israeli towns and villages.

The grotesque policies of Obama have caused Lebanon to fall under Islamic occupation, with the Iranian puppet, Hezb’allah, now controlling the Lebanese government. Jordan’s kinglet, Abdullah, sits on a powder keg whereby his throne is under increasing pressure from violent members of the same Muslim Brotherhood.

So there you have it. Islam increasingly holds Europe, America, and what is left of the free world in its clutches…and the left cheers it on.

Let me close with the words of Michael D. Evans, New York Times bestselling author of Jimmy Carter: The Liberal Left and World Chaos:

It’s no coincidence that Al Baradei showed up in Cairo only two days after the uprising began and was immediately named a negotiator by the Muslim Brotherhood. In fact, he had been waiting in the wings for quite a while.

He’s on the board of an organization headed by George Soros and Zbigniew Brzezinski called International Crisis Group. Brzezinski is the same man who supervised the fall of the Shah of Iran in 1979.

Another board member of the ICC is one Javier Solana. Solana is one of the most powerful figures in the European Union. Because of Solana’s Marxist sympathies, and his support for the regime of Cuba’s Fidel Castro, Solana was on the USA’s subversive list.

Former U.S. National Security Advisor, Sandy Berger, who once smuggled incriminating documents out of the Clinton White House by hiding them in his clothing, is another Board Member, as is General Wesley Clark, once fired from his NATO command.

Mohamed El Baradei also sits on the ICC’s Board and thus, seeing the hand of George Soros along with the other players who for so long have plotted against the West and Israel, the Islamists are joined together.”

What, one wonders, will history say of the foreign policies of Barack Hussein Obama?

  1. Don’t start, J. I already said Luther was false and I know about his book The Jews and their Lies and about his choosing Catholic Sunday (Baal sun god worship day) for worship instead of the true Shabbat. My Mother was a Lutheran and knew nothing about all of this. We have ALL been lied to. Thank G-d for the internet, the biggest library in the world online, and the ability to discover what is true and what is not. Jews and real Protestant Christians are both persecuted by the Catholics and Muslims alike. We are on the same side. You do yourself a disservice when you shoot your friends.

  2. You mean this Martin Luther?

What shall we do with…the Jews?…I advise that all their prayer books and Talmudic writings…are to be taken from them.

What shall we do with…the Jews?…I advise that safe-conduct on the highways be abolished completely for the Jews.

What shall we do with…the Jews? I advise that their rabbis be forbidden to teach on pain of loss of life and limb.

What shall we do with…the Jews?…set fire to their synagogues or schools and bury and cover with dirt whatever will not burn, so that no man will ever again see a stone or cinder of them.

What shall we do with…the Jews?…their homes also should be razed and destroyed.

“whoever would help the Jews was doomed to perdition.”

  3. And look up Foxe’s Book of Martyrs about the many Protestants persecuted and murdered by the Catholics.

Martin Luther was false because he didn’t Protest enough!

    You mean this Martin Luther?

I maintain that some Jew wrote it [the Book of James] who probably heard about Christian people but never encountered any.

We should throw the Epistle of James out of this school [the University of Wittenburg]….

We are at fault for not slaying them [the Jews].

“whoever would help the Jews was doomed to perdition.”

“a Lutheran pastor in Hochfelden used a sermon to urge his parishioners to murder Jews”. Luther’s influence persisted after his death. Throughout the 1580s, riots led to the expulsion of Jews from several German Lutheran states

According to the prevailing view among historians,[209] his anti-Jewish rhetoric contributed significantly to the development of antisemitism in Germany, and in the 1930s and 1940s provided an “ideal underpinning” for the National Socialists’ attacks on Jews.[211] Reinhold Lewin writes that “whoever wrote against the Jews for whatever reason believed he had the right to justify himself by triumphantly referring to Luther.”

That Catholics slaughtered Protestants or the converse, both for the most part were enemies of the Jews.

  5. Trying again. My post didn’t post.

Oh! Is that the price to pay for accepting your kindness? The hints were clearer when you put us on the rack and boiled us in oil.

That was not Protestants who did that. It was Catholics, the same Catholics who murdered Jews AND Protestant Christians. The Inquisition was brought to you by the Catholics. Also google The St. Bartholomew’s Day massacre – Catholics murdering Protestants

The St. Bartholomew’s Day massacre (Massacre de la Saint-Barthélemy in French) in 1572 was a targeted group of assassinations, followed by a wave of Roman Catholic mob violence, both directed against the Huguenots (French Calvinist Protestants), during the French Wars of Religion. Traditionally believed to have been instigated by Catherine de’ Medici, the mother of King Charles IX, the massacre took place six days after the wedding of the king’s sister Margaret to the Protestant Henry III of Navarre (the future Henry IV of France). This marriage was an occasion for which many of the most wealthy and prominent Huguenots had gathered in largely Catholic Paris.

The massacre began two days after the attempted assassination of Admiral Gaspard de Coligny, the military and political leader of the Huguenots. Starting on 23 August 1572 (the eve of the feast of Bartholomew the Apostle) with murders on orders of the king of a group of Huguenot leaders including Coligny, the massacres spread throughout Paris. Lasting several weeks, the massacre extended to other urban centres and the countryside. Modern estimates for the number of dead vary widely between 5,000 and 30,000 in total.

The massacre also marked a turning point in the French Wars of Religion. The Huguenot political movement was crippled by the loss of many of its prominent aristocratic leaders, as well as many re-conversions by the rank and file, and those who remained were increasingly radicalized. Though by no means unique, it “was the worst of the century’s religious massacres.” [2] Throughout Europe, it “printed on Protestant minds the indelible conviction that Catholicism was a bloody and treacherous religion”.[3]

    ***

    Death toll

Estimates of the number that perished in the massacres, “have varied from 2,000 by a Roman Catholic apologist to 70,000 by the contemporary Huguenot duc de Sully, who himself barely escaped death”.[30] Accurate figures for casualties have never been compiled,[31] and even in writings by modern historians there is a considerable range, though the more specialised the historian, the lower they tend to be. At the low end are figures of about 2,000 in Paris[32] and 3,000 in the provinces, the latter figure an estimate by Philip Benedict in an article in 1978.[33] Other estimates are about 10,000 in total,[34] with about 3,000 in Paris[35] and 7,000 in the provinces.[36] At the higher end are total figures of up to 20,000,[37] or 30,000 in total, from “a contemporary, non-partisan guesstimate” quoted by the historians Felipe Fernández-Armesto and D. Wilson.[38] For Paris, the only hard figure is a payment by the city to workmen for collecting and burying 1,100 bodies washed up on the banks of the Seine downstream from the city in one week. Body counts relating to other payments are computed from this.[39] – Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Bartholomew's_Day_massacre

  10. BO,

Irrespective of all the online conversations we have had, you don’t even come close to understanding me or my motives.

I never have been afraid to move to Israel. But I’m too damned old; I will turn 77 years of age in 55 days. If I were a refugee, it would be a simpler matter; but I’m not. So I expect to live out whatever is left of my life on the side of this heavily wooded bluff in annually frozen southern Wisconsin, a geographic and climatic setting not too different from that of my Russian ancestors.

My wife and I lived and studied in Israel during the 18 months from February 1973 through early August 1974. It was one of the happiest moments of both our lives, because it awakened my sense of Jewish nationalism and taught me something about the realities both of city and regional planning and of life in a small country surrounded by enemies. For my wife Stefi, Israel was a relatively short boat ride away from her Croatian homeland and her own aging parents who still lived there. But all things considered, the experience was far easier for my wife than for me. She is 14 years younger than me, so she was a 24 year old when we came ashore at the port of Haifa. I already was 38. As a European who already could understand about 4-5 languages, she easily picked up Hebrew in our ulpan studies. Most Americans are strictly monolingual and for me all this was more difficult. We might have stayed for some additional years, except that our university graduate fellowships were only for a single year and we could not get them extended. So our small amount of savings at that time would have been quickly depleted. In any case, we first and foremost wanted to complete our graduate degrees, and for that we had to return to the USA.

In addition to all of the above, we could not escape the sinking feelings that came with witnessing the government of Israel caving in to Kissinger’s machinations in pushing Israel successively farther eastward in the Sinai under so-called “disengagement” schemes. One requirement I have for any country in which I should choose to live is that it must never agree to surrender any part of its lands. There never was anything wrong with Israel other than the sheep-like governments the Jewish state acquired from its stetl-bred forefathers who, over the centuries, grew accustomed to living the lives as lackeys to a long assortment of goyim godfathers, and not infrequently, having to run away from their Jew hatred. Plainly, this degradation of personality among the Jewish leadership cadres has not yet run its course. But over time, and the necessity of fighting and winning wars against the goyim of the Middle East, this is changing, slowly but surely.

  11. BO: Israel should NEVER surrender! Shame on you for suggesting such a thing. Remember the fiery furnace? Help is on the way.

Da 3:13 Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Then they brought these men before the king.
14 Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?
15 Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?
16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.
17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.
18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
19 Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.
20 And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.
21 Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
22 Therefore because the king’s commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
23 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellers, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.
25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
26 Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire.
27 And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king’s counsellers, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.
28 Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.
29 Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.

  12. Yonatan said:

Israel won’t be surrendering – take that to the bank…ooops your bank has defaulted!

Yonatan, that was downright uplifting. The Israel part, I have strong doubts about — what with Yamit taking to mindless stammering and the more erudite Arnold Harris afraid to move there — but the bank part is so close to the truth, it’s funny.

  14. I agree Obama is a similar to a plague destroying everything he comes in contact with. Obama is an incredible combination of incompetence, and hatred of the USA. Should the Jihadist virus actually cause Jordan and Egypt to join Lebanon and Turkey as countries controlled by Islamists, Israel is still in better shape than in 1967. Oatmeal for brains is engaging in wishful thinking. Israel will be an energy exporter. Israel, in many areas of defense despite having only 7 million people, is the world’s leader . Overall, only the USA and China have a stronger army and air force (Strategypage.com). Israel is currently the world’s leader in use of computer technology for defense. Ask the Iranians about how Stuxnet. Israel is the world’s leader in robotics for defense. Israel invented UAVs. Since Unmanned aerial vehicles will replace almost all manned aircraft within 2 decades, Israel will not need the US to supply them with any weapon system. Therefore, there will no nation to save the Egyptian army should they be foolish enough to attack Israel and get the snot beaten out them, for a fifth time. Israel’s defense industry produces weapons of such high quality it influences even long time enemies. Russia wanted Israeli UAVs so intensely, they reneged on supplying Iran the S 300 air defense system. Getting back to computer technology for defense, although the US has recently claimed much of the credit for Stuxnet, it was clearly an Israeli program without much US input. I have one last point response for Oatmeal for brains. The Jewish people have outlived all of the world’s great empires over the past 3000+ years. You sound like a fool questioning the toughness of the Jewish people

  15. BO,

You have previously announced to all of us on Israpundit that you are not a Jew. And on that basis, the Jewish nation is even less likely to listen to your defeatism than to my expectations for Jewish national redemption, victory and power. So if you have nothing constructive to say, just butt out and turn your attention to tomorrow’s Super Bowl game.

  16. I don’t see Yam offering any solution here. Israel, Jordan, the PA, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain and Egypt are all up against an Obama-EU-Hamas-Hizbullah-Syria-Turkey-Iran coalition. Jordan has had 80% of its energy supply cut off and Israel 25%. Hamas effectively controls parts of Sinai, and Iran is now publicly declaring its intention of a first strike against Israel. Israel can fight now, or surrender.

Prepare for Israel to surrender; I don’t think the Jewish people are constitutionally capable of anything else.

  17. I care nothing whatsoever about social justice or democracy, and for me that applies equally to Jews, Christians, Moslems, Israelis, Americans or Egyptians. Nor do I even pretend concern for any such considerations. As for the howling mobs of Tahrir Square in Cairo, there is no government capable of getting them meaningful work with which to provide meaningful income which they can use to buy Egypt’s overpriced food with which to feed their overgrown families in an age increasingly characterized with crashing economies based to no small degree on rapidly disappearing sources of energy.

About three-fourths of the teeming populations alive now are there solely because of the onset of relatively inexpensive and ubiquitous fossil fuels which have come to supply some 85 per cent of the energy used by the human race. As those energy sources consecutively dwindle in this century based on the continuously growing demand for them, no small percentage of the world’s population probably is headed for post-industrial age extinction. As that is happening, those of you who are young enough will witness growing and unprecedented chaos all across this planet.

My only interest in the Middle East is that the Jewish nation shall be able to reclaim all its historical lands, expel any non-Jews who threaten either the social stability or the defense of the State of Israel, and keep all potential enemy armies at least one desert away in any given direction. I sincerely hope that most of what I see coming for the world as a whole impacts too heavily on the Jewish nation. But they must prepare themselves so that this time, the assembled screaming and shouting mobs among the goyim shall be the victims, and not the Jews.

The ongoing crack-up of the Mubarak regime in Egypt means it is only a matter of time before the Ilkwan (Moslem Brotherhood) controls Egypt. And when they control Egypt, they will in fact control the Egyptian armed forces as well. The Ilkwan already has promised that one of the first steps they will take is to cancel the Israeli-Egyptian treaty of peace worked out by Carter’s Camp David Accords.

With that, Israel will be once again in deadly danger unless Zahal is mobilized in time. When that happens — and it is no longer a question of if that shall happen, Israel must be militarily prepared to invade the Sinai once again, expel any and all Egyptions from most of it, then annex the peninsula and begin settling and populating it. If so, Yamit — like Masada — must not fall again. And certainly never again at Jewish hands.

Eastward, Israel can never again have border closer to the country’s heartland than the Jordan River and the Dead Sea. This means the task of re-settling Shomron and Yehuda must be speeded up, and as the chaos around the Arab world intensifies — as it surely will, regardless of whatever Israel does or does not do — the lands territories must progressively be annexed, starting with parts of the territories included in Zone C by the Oslo Agreement. If the Oslo Agreement has been rendered null and void, then Israel can and should plant Jewish cities and villages wherever in Shomron and Yehuda helps maintain Israel’s defensive borders and, in addition, helps flesh out the regional planning that has been in the works for these territories for almost 44 years since the Six Day War of 1967. There is no sense hold out this or that patch of land as bargaining chips; there will not be anyone the Jewish state can bargain with.

Is all this achievable? Of course, Israel is outnumbered by the comparatively huge Arab populations. But Israel in six days of June 1967, with a population base of only 2.2 million Jews, destroyed or neutralized three Arab armies and every hostile air force in the Middle East from the Nile to the Euphrates. Today’s Israel has about 2.6 times the Jewish population base of its 1967 counterpart, the country is much more solidly industrialized than in 1967, and the weapons of 43 years ago are like child’s toys compared with the armanents now available to the Jewish state. Moreover, Israel alone in the Middle East has weapons of mass destruction and almost certainly in overwhelming numbers. Do they have such devices in fact and not just in fancy? I think nobody in power in Israel would dared have risked once again the Jewish national homeland by NOT having such weapons. These, then, if needed, shall prove to be the great military equalizers.
People who participate in war place their lives on the line, and sometimes the life of their countries as well. But Israel is not in position to sit back and wait for overwhelmingly large Arab armies to get close to the national borders, fearing daily for the attack that ultimately would be mounted. The only thing that can win in such a situation is a policy of pre-emptive strikes.

How will the rest of the world react to all this? Frankly, I do not give a damn. The USA, in any case, is now a fading imperialist power that no longer can afford to project its national strength halfway around the world. The Europeans increasingly will be pre-occupied with fending off increasing terror attacks from the Moslem populations they so unwisely allowed into their countries in the immediate aftermath of the end of the colonial era. The UNO is nothing more than an international debating society sustained foolishly by foreign aid largesse of American taxpayers. The international powers of the coming age, in my judgment, will be China, Russia, and to lesser degrees India and Japan. All of these except Japan have growing problems fighting off Moslem terrorists and separatists. As Israel conquers and annexes more Moslem Arab lands, the Jewish State will have greater rather than lesser value to the hard-thinking and hard-hearted bosses of China and Russia. That is precisely the way power functions. As for the traditional allies, Israel’s alliances with the west in the future will be not so much with the tepid liberal Jewish Zionists of North America and the English speaking countries, but with Christian Zionists and with European white nationalists whose common enemies will all be Asiatic and African Moslems.

And as for those of you who live in Israel, it will be up to you to coalesce around a nationalist government that will be the only kind respected by the new overlords of this planet and feared by your enemies.

  18. The Egyptian Revolt and Imperial Islamism
    By G. Murphy Donovan
    American Thinker

The loss of Egypt to Islamic theocrats will be more consequential than the loss of Iran. Elections are just another arrow in the fundamentalist quiver. Unfortunately, too many naïve observers in the West confuse voting with democracy.

The stakes in this most recent Arab revolt have little or nothing to do with Egyptian or any other variety of Arab nationalism. Democracy, economics, and social justice are minor players, too. Another victory for Sunni radicals is the prize if the Egyptian revolt is successful. Egypt represents a tipping point — a validation of Imperial Sunni Islam and another stimulus for religious extremism.
