Why Do They Hate Sarah So Much?

By Victor Volsky, AMERICAN THINKER

What is the reason why the ruling class, including the GOP establishment, hates Sara Palin so passionately? The left and its propaganda machine have always looked down on conservatives, but the attacks on Sarah Palin are unprecedented for sheer malice, scope, and decibel level. Everything about her incenses the left — her bubbly personality, her high-pitched voice, her lively manner of speech and facial expressions, her colorful biography and way of life, her large family, her unabashed loyalty to Christian and conservative values.

She is ridiculed mercilessly by hordes of comedians who, plumbing new depths of vulgarity, make a nice living exploiting the Palin Derangement Syndrome. The press watches her, eagle-eyed, and pounces at the drop of a hat, twisting the most innocuous slip of the tongue into a monstrous gaffe, almost a federal crime. For all intents and purposes, she is hounded as Public Enemy No. 1. The left views all Republicans as enemies, but Sarah Palin stands apart; she is treated like dirt, like an alien life form. Why?

And why do the feminists outdo even their male allies on the left, evincing astonishing ferocity in attacking Alaska’s former governor? One would think Palin is the one person they should defend and extol as a poster child of feminism, an icon of women’s liberation.

Indeed, Sarah Palin rose from humble origins eventually to win the office of governor of Alaska and take the number-two spot on the Republican presidential ticket. She overcame all obstacles without any connections, entirely by dint of talent, hard work, and perseverance. She fearlessly took on the GOP establishment and the oil interests that had dominated Alaska for decades, and she beat them all at their own game. She achieved great success and popularity in all public offices she ever held. And on top of all that, she efficiently juggled public service with homemaking duties, married an Eskimo (the left should be particularly ecstatic on this point — a minority!), and gave her husband a hand in his business undertakings. She raised a large family and does everything a full-blooded Alaskan male is supposed to do, including killing her dinner.

A woman who can successfully challenge and beat any man, climb any mountain, ford any stream, shatter any glass ceiling — a feminist dream come true, don’t you think? And yet, the feminist leaders seethe with boundless hatred for that “upstart.” Why? Granted, Palin is a conservative Republican and thus a natural enemy of the left, of which the feminist movement is an integral and prominent part. Still, this explanation somehow fails to account for the extraordinary viciousness of the feminist attitude, for the stupendous amount of vitriol the feminists spew at the mere mention of Sarah Palin’s name. There has to be something else. But what is it?

For decades, the political drama in Washington followed a well-defined pattern, with the two major parties playing distinct roles. Under the conventional scenario, the Democrats, noble and high-minded, fight for the “little guy,” defend the helpless minorities, feel the pain of the poor and defenseless, selflessly provide succor to the “victims of social injustice,” and pursue an internationalist foreign policy. For their part, the Republicans are Wall Street stooges and loyal henchmen of Big Oil and other paragons of greedy capitalism, who rob the poor to give to the rich and follow the imperialist line in the international arena.

From time to time, the Democrats would go too far in their redistributionist schemes, throw public funds around with too much abandon, push the country too far into the morass of economic distress. Then the irate voters would throw them out and hand the reins of power to the Republicans, who would proceed to clean up the mess under withering fire of criticism and ridicule from the sidelines. Once the ship of state was put back on an even keel, the Democrats would return to power and pick up where they left off. This political two-step has continued over many decades, widely perceived as an eternal, providential order of things. To be sure, the Republicans have been contemptuously treated by their adversaries as junior partners. But the operative word is “partners.” Though maligned and denigrated, Republicans’ political legitimacy has never been called into question.

Then the Obama era dawned. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity presented itself to the revolutionary left; its political wet dream finally seemed to be within easy reach. The Democrats controlled all branches of government, and the ongoing economic crisis gave it maximum freedom of maneuver. The new president and his allies grabbed the bull by the horns and set about remaking the country on the radical blueprint. But in their zeal, Obama and the Democrats in Congress badly overreached and made a fatal mistake: they woke up the sleeping giant. The vast, hitherto-silent middle class, alarmed by the inexorable slide of the country into the abyss, woke up and rose to defend the American way of life. The resultant Tea Party movement has been the elite’s nightmare come true.

The ruling class love to swear their abiding love for and eternal fealty to the people. They indeed love the “people” — as an abstract sociological concept. But they despise the populace. Everything about the common people, the denizens of the “flyover country,” is alien and offensive to the elites. They can’t help contemning those thick-skulled yokels, no doubt rabid racists and homophobes all — who cling to their religion and their guns, who crow about their stupid moral principles and reject the sacred rights of abortion and gay marriage, who are unable to appreciate the sublime beauty and poignant social message of, say, a crucifix immersed in the artist’s urine or a Madonna splattered with elephant dung. So long as the knuckle-draggers stay in their caves and lairs, allowing their betters to rule unopposed, they can be safely ignored. But when they start loudly protesting, threatening the prerogatives of the ruling class, the great unwashed turn into an acute danger.

The left was fit to be tied; it sensed a mortal challenge to its dominance. But a movement is an amorphous mass, difficult to pin down and target. Somebody has to personify it, and so Sarah Palin was chosen to be the face of that horrible entity. When she emerged on the national scene, she was merely a target of widespread ridicule. But with the rise of the Tea Party, derision was augmented by dread. Sarah Palin came to be viewed as the leader of the barbarians at the gates, the commander of the vast hordes of pitchfork-brandishing peasants storming the ramparts of civilized society. In short, in the eyes of the political/cultural aristocracy, she is the embodiment of its worst nightmare: the revolt of the masses against their masters.

This is, above all, why Palin arouses such elemental fear and hatred on the left (and the moderate right, too). To be sure, part of the reason is just plain envy. The darned woman seems to have Teflon skin — all criticism just rolls off her back without doing any damage.

Worse, everything Palin touches turns into gold. How can one preserve equanimity in the face of her astonishing popularity and jaw-dropping earnings? How can one help wondering about the injustice of it all when “that stupid and ignorant lowbrow from the boondocks” commands such attention, with media hanging on her lips and her every word, her every entry on Twitter or Facebook becomes breaking news — so much so that she actually seems to be driving the national discourse?

And yet, I submit, the elites detest Sarah Palin primarily out of fear and loathing. They view her as a usurper, as an embodiment of a threat to deprive them of the power and privileges they regard as their God-given right.

And what happens if Sarah Palin actually decides to run for president? Katie bar the door, you ain’t seen nothing yet!

Dan, you cannot be allowed to continue with such mindless libel with scurrilous drivel based simply on the far left wing POV that ignores the facts. You definitely belong to the infamous 78% of American Jews who helped give us Imam Obama with help from the anti-conservative Yamit-faction of Israeli opinion – thankfully a faction that most right-thinking Israelis reject.

Here is one column that shows how pathetic you Palin-bashers are:

    http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=40120

    Quote:
First and foremost, let’s address one of Charen’s opening points as to why Palin should sit 2012 out. She stated, “Americans will be looking for sober competence, managerial skill, and maturity — not sizzle and flash.” Perhaps a walk down policy lane is in order.

As Governor, Sarah Palin actualized AGIA, the Alaska Gasline Inducement Act, the largest private sector infrastructure project in North American history. Palin’s administration opened up drilling for oil and gas at Point Thomson for the first time in several decades. As Governor, Palin reduced earmark requests for Alaska by 80%, established Alaska’s Petroleum Integrity Office to oversee safe energy development, placed the state checkbook online, and reduced spending for Fiscal Year 2010 by over one billion dollars from Governor Murkowski’s Fiscal Year 2007 budget. Palin signed ACES, Alaska’s Clear and Equitable Share bill, into law, incentivizing development and ensuring that Alaskans would receive a “clear and equitable” share of oil profits. She cut costs by selling a private jet purchased by the previous governor and saying “no thank you” to the Executive Mansion’s personal chef. She has served as Chairperson of the AK Oil and Gas Conservation Commission and Vice Chair of the National Governors Association Natural Resource Committee. Prior to her time as Governor, Palin served as Mayor of Wasilla, AK, and city council member in Wasilla. She has also been involved in running a commercial fishing business with her husband Todd.

“Sober competence, managerial skill, and maturity,” indeed.
    Unquote.

I should add that Palin did not simply “serve” as Chairman of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, she took on the most powerful oil barons and politicians – some from her own party – in Alaska on conflict of interest, cronyism and corruption, and defeated them. Some were convicted. These are people who would have crushed a less resolute individual who had rallied the public to her side to confront their corrupt practices.

Palin’s approval rating was in the high 80% range when she was simply doing her job as governor. Even after the most vicious attack on any individual by a small army of Democrat character assassins her approval never fell below the mid-50’s, and almost all the bogus charges against her that made it untenable for her to continue as governor and were harming the state, were dismissed with a couple of exceptions of little consequence.

During the last election cycle Palin endorsed dozens of candidates and most of them won.

If she was as weak, unintelligent and ineffective as the allegation you libel her with, why would every Facebook post and Tweet drive the White House and the entire left wing crazy?

  2. Sorry AmEagle: You are just plain wrong. And all your wishful thinking won’t make it right. I passionately wish the Republicans to win next time out. Palin just can’t do it. NO SUBSTANCE, NOT ALL THAT BRIGHT AS HAS BEEN PROVEN AGAIN AND AGAIN in head to head debates, off the cuff press conferences (which she avoids like the plague)

Yes she is a celebrity, but so is Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and lady Gaga.

The problem with Palin is that most very conservative right wing Republicans find that when they think of her,
they get a build up of acid reflux in their stomachs, that even tums can’t cure.

Dan, your comment is false, and we see that in the growing influence of the Tea Party movement and the results of the last elections where most of Sarah Palin’s endorsees won their seats.

You sound like you may be one of the infamous 78% of Jews who helped Imam Obama get elected.

You may want to read No. 16 above and see if you can make some more intelligent observations instead of working so hard to embarrass yourself.

  4. The problem with Palin is that most very conservative right wing Republicans find that when they think of her,
they get a build up of acid reflux in their stomachs, that even tums can’t cure.

Here we have a medical and not a political connundrum.

This makes no sense. It reduced one openly hostile nation on Israel’s border. Would you have preferred that there were no peace treaties with Egypt and Jordan?

  6. You’re right, Yamit. It is about 30 years out of date. I picked it us there, probably from one of the Soviet Jews who made got out of that country in the tough old days before Gorbachev chopped down the edifice with his combination of glasnost and perestroika. Rav Kahane once wrote — long before the Soviet empire crashed — that the USSR was a giant with steel arms but feet of clay. That was more or less right on target, considering what happened.

But I’m out of date as much as that stale joke. It’s been more than 36 years since the Greek ferry on which we had booked passage, pulled out of Haifa harbor, carrying us on our way through Europe than a few months later, back to the USA aboard a Jugoslav freighter.

So a lot of my information about Israel is second-hand, conditioned only by the 18 months we spent there, in the Ulpan, in the university, in Jerusalem, learned Zionism first hand from Dr Israel Eldad, one of the old time Lehi hard guys like Yitzhak Shamir, at his apartment in beautiful old Rechavia where he and his wife lived, on a long string of pre-shabat afternoons. I thought I was good at chess, but that man easily wiped me out every time I took him on. Every Jew should have a brain as good as his, along with the steel in his soul. I didn’t know much more about Israel than most other Americans, before I showed up there in your country. But a lot of what I learned came from men such as Eldad of the Stern fighters, and some of his friends.

The night before the new government of Israel declared its independence in May 1948, David Ben-Gurion walked alone on the streets of Tel-Aviv, trying gauge the mood of the people as to how they would respond to the war that was sure to come within a matter of hours. “Eleh yamdu”, he reportedly said to himself. “These will stand”.

That pretty much describes what I think Israel needs right now. Not necessarily a mashiach, but certainly the local version of a Josef Stalin, with cunning, guts, ruthlessness and tenacity.

I never heard of you before we started communicating on Ted Belman’s blogsite here. But I imagine your blogworld moniker, Yamit82, reflects what happened to that city by the sea when Israel agreed with Carter’s diktat to evacuate the Sinai in return for what one day will be seen as a false peace accord with Egypt. That almost broke my spirit when we all heard about it over here. I hope it didn’t break yours.

    Eleh yamdu.

I hope it’s just as true now as it was going on 63 years ago.

  7. Actually, Catarin, they let all kinds of people into Israel. If you have some in-demand technical skills, you can live very well there. But if you want to make a small fortune there, bring a large fortune with you when you arrive.

Actually that is a Russian joke and as far as Israel is concerned about 30 years out of date.

  8. If I wanted to move to Israel, could I? I’m not a Jew.

neither are 40% of all Isralis and probably 50% if you count illegals.

  9. Ted writes:
Unfortunately Jonathan Tobin at Commentary came out strongly against Palin running.

This is not a problem or a surprise as Tobin is a lefty and they congenitally will oppose Palin.

  10. The animosity against Palin comes from three sources, and only one of them is one she needs to address.

    1. Snobbery. The “elites” think you must have a degree from an Ivy League university in order to be qualified to be presdent. That is bullshit, but that is what a lot of “influential” people think. It is also what a lot of Jewish-Americans think. It is very annoying, being inside of that conmmunity, trying to talk them out of this delusion. Nothing Sarah can do about this, nor should she even try. Considering how polluted our “elite” schools are these days, the fact that someone of her generation (which is also my generation) didn’t attend one is a plus in my book.

    2. Her support of Israel. Outside of the snobs of the Jewish community here, 90% of the people who bash Palin also bash Israel. You look at any political candidate who is being asolutely lambasted by the media, and scratch the surface of that candidate, you will find someone very pro-Israel. Believe me, if Palin were to suddenly turn around and attack Israel herself, demand that she show more “flexibility” in her negotiations with those ‘poor oppressed Palestinians who deserve a home, too’, just like magic, all the talking heads would suddenly marvel at how “sophisticated” Sarah has become…..Like #1 above, there is nothing she should do about this, either.

    3. Her only genuine problem is that she does not know how to handle herself well with national media types. I’ve seen her interviewed, and unless it is a very friendly interviewer (e.g., Glenn Beck), she seems to “freeze up”. This makes her appear far more incompetent than she is. If she doesn’t get over this, and learn how to handle the likes of Katie Couric more effectively, she may not make it after all, even though I dearly hope she does.

  11. robinfox writes:

Only in summer, robinfox. Only in summer. The dark winters are ridiculous for most mortals.

I hope you read my comments in No. 16 above.

If Palin runs, she may have an unconventional opponent vying for her demographic of support.

Now, here’s a solid, self-made black guy we can all be proud of – like Allen West – who will actually inspire young blacks that they can achieve success without being hustlers like Obama, which is often all they know. These guys will show Obama up as the empty suit he is.

The Tea Party movement now has a lot of good candidates warming up in the bullpen, including brilliant young minority governors like Jindal [39] and Haley [38]. In 2012 Palin with one of these solid conservative black guys will drive the race and gender hustlers of the left wing nuts, not to mention the RINO’s. The go-along to get-along country-club Republicans are now left to play catch-up with the true conservatives.

  12. Liberals have no love of Israel and Israel’s g-d? Fiddlesticks and hogwash!

Most of what I see on this post about liberals is a laugh! If Israelis feel deserted by Obama, that’s not true. Most liberals like to know all possible sides of a situation before making a decision, unlike conservatives, many of whose views are stuck in a rut no wider than a bike tire. It’s as though there’s a book on Conservative thought, and Conservatives open it to find out how they think about a situation.

Obama will never desert Israel. He is trying to make Middle East peace, seeing things from every view. That’s what I do. The only difference between Obama and me is I have reached the conclusion the Arab Palestinian Muslims will never agree to compromises that will make peace possible. Obama still has hope that they will.

Several issues back, Biblical Archaeology Review magazine published part of a diary from around 1850 about a Western explorer and his small party crossing the Sinai. They had set up camp in an oasis when all of a sudden an Arab with a knife lunged at them, wanting to steal their belongings. The explorer shot the Arab dead. It wasn’t long before several Arabs approached their camp and wanted to be paid for the life of the dead man. They intimidated the explorer into giving them goods, even though it was the Arab who started it and attempted to rob them.

This thinking continues today in many Arab heads. They keep assaulting a situation hoping to win by beating down their opponents, I guess cause it has worked for them for centuries. But it doesn’t work with the Jews and the US. There is no room for right and wrong, justice, fairness etc. under this approach. I hope future generations of Arab Muslims will not be this dumb, because the only present solution I can see is to have as little to do with them as possible.

America’s Founding Fathers were liberal in many respects. They decreed America was for everyone. If they would have been conservative, they might have said only Christians may immigrate to the US or some such. They were primarily Free Masons who believed in G-d but not organized religion. Thank G-d that was who they were.

  13. I’m just really impressed by the fact that Charles Gasparino left MSNBC to join Fox News and has written a brilliant book entitled: BOUGHT AND PAID FOR. This book shows how Obama is in bed with the Wall Street bankers he verbally condemns.

The great thing about PALIN is that she is up against those forces who put Obama into power – she fought hard in her own state against these goons and knows how to fight such bad people. She took a stand and faced a lot of hate because of her stance. She is a brave and courageous woman and she is exactly the type of woman Washington needs to fix that mess that Charles Gasparino hightlights in his awesome book! That is the best Obama expose you’ll ever read and we’ll be needing someone of Palin’s character and wit to conquer these educated idiots and prevail for those who seek freedom.

  14. robinfox, I believe you know Sarah Palin.

Your right, the liberal lefts and anti-Semites hate her. They can’t deal with anyone good.

My son tunes into MSNBC once in a while for laughs. Those numskulls bash her every chance they get.

We can’t wait until Comcast takes over NBC, I am sure they will give the boot to the likes of Rachel Maddow, Chris (Obama sends a thrill up his leg) Mathews and Keith Olberman.

Their ratings are at the bottom, just where they belong.

  15. Sarah Palin is beautiful and mainly ugly women hate her because she is so beautiful, spiritually and physically. Most people will never see the Alaska she enjoys and loves so her program instantly puts you into tears as you kind of wish you had that kind of life and mourn that you don’t. People hate her because she causes GOOD MEN to dream. Women hate her out of jealousy. Liberals hate her because she loves God, loves America, loves Faith, Hope and values……..you know, basic GOOD qualities which no liberal has because they reject Israel, reject Israel’s God, reject all LAW and AUTHORITY under His Laws. With Hillary getting uglier with every passing day and going home to her fate, and the glory of the Clintonian regime passing away, it is good for a breath of fresh air to come along after years of being suffocated by liberal retards. I have the highest respect for Palin and hope she gives them all a good run for their money!

  18. Y’all have already said it all, and well. But I gotta add– Going Rogue was a real pleasure to read, and now I am impressed by her new book, America by Heart. Those who’ve said Sarah isn’t smart haven’t been paying attention. She knows how to handle the mega-companies and she knows how to support her statements with facts and clear precedent. She’s got my vote!

  19. Ted, thanks for posting the link to that article about why Governor Palin resigned her office as governor of Alaska shortly after the 2008 national election. I know what effect hostile use of freedom of information act (FOIA)requests can have on local governments. Here in our local community, a practitioner of nuisance lawsuits has been using these tactics to go after members of the board of supervisors of the Town of Cross Plains, where Stefi and I live and pay taxes. Until I read that article about Sarah Palin, I had not been aware — or had forgotten — the way the venal news media of the USA had been personally attacking her. All things considered, she took the correct steps in bailing out from that situation. And in so doing, she proved to me more than ever to be a woman of great common sense.

Thanks too for cleaning out some of increasingly vicious comments that had been turning into an endless vendetta. I try to avoid that in my comments. Although I really prefer dialogue with commenters who do not stoop to hiding their identities. I suppose everyone has their own good reasons for doing that, but I’m just to proud to hide. In any case, you run a good blogsite.

  20. A.E. And sometimes being a supporter of Jews like Palin is can cause one to be even HATED EVEN MORE. Why? Because Jews were born Jews whether they wanted to be or not. A supporter of Jews, now thats a CHOICE a DECISION and can come with a heavy price depending on the individual. Obama unfortunately turned out to be a weak puke. He grandstanded by going to Israel and daring to use one of the holiest and most sacred sites to write a prayer to God and place it in The Wall. Palin is a Christian. In her religion she would be more accustomed to mercy and grace and has extended that to Israel. Not because she OWES them to. But because she CHOSE to.

  24. Yamit. It takes time. So lay off. We are getting off topic but I am sure we will continue this discussion on another thread.

  25. Yamit. You dont have much spiritual depth do you? You may have knowledge but knowledge does not equate to wisdom. It IS NOT for you to decide WHEN a Jew should feel compelled to move to Israel. There are alot of extenuating circumstances. Be thankful you dont have to cope with that. Leave that to the Creator. How long have you lived in Israel now?

  26. Yamit would only be happy if it was a REAL JEW running for Prez and who would secretly promise to screw over North America and then move to The Homeland. Of coarse no such animal exists.

not true. The worst thing that could happen would be a Jewish president or even a VP. Real Jew in America is an oxymoron ever since 1948. That’s just my humble opinion. I realize and understand the element of free choice and those Jews who choose to remain in the exile even a golden exile is their choice.

The United Jewish Communities’ “National Jewish Population Survey 2000” — a decennial demographic study — found that, due to a negative net birthrate (i.e., Jewish deaths exceeded Jewish births for that period), America’s Jewish population had declined by 300,000 souls from 1990 to 2000. This translates to an average net loss of 82 Jews per day for that decade. This is hardly surprising in light of the study’s finding that 70% of Jewish women in the United States between the ages of 25 and 29 were childless.

The study also discovered that, due to an ongoing intermarriage rate in excess of 50%, of all children under the age of 12 with Jewish parentage in the United States, less than half have two Jewish parents. Of the more than half with a gentile parent, (according to other surveys) only a quarter thereof will be raised as Jews. Of these, only a small minority will marry other Jews, as it will be almost impossible for an intermarried Jew, however sincere, to convince his or her child to do what he or she failed to do, namely: marry a fellow Jew.

If this trend continues within a few generations there won’t be any Jews real or otherwise in America.

  27. Yamit would only be happy if it was a REAL JEW running for Prez and who would secretly promise to screw over North America and then move to The Homeland. Of coarse no such animal exists.

  28. Who gives a crap about them?

that could well be the majority of the electorate especially by election time.

Your 20-30% won’t cut it. Think McGovern. If You are representative of Palin supporters, she doesn’t have a chance. No normal American would knowingly choose to be on the same side as those like you.

  29. Victor Volsky writes:

Prior to her time as Governor, Palin served as Mayor of Wasilla, AK, and city council member in Wasilla. She has also been involved in running a commercial fishing business with her husband Todd.

“Sober competence, managerial skill, and maturity,” indeed.
    Unquote.

  30. Bland Oatmeal says it very well her bubbly personality, her high-pitched voice, her lively manner of speech and facial expressions, her colorful biography and way of life, her large family, her unabashed loyalty to Christian and conservative values. The elites and the leftists loathe everything that she stands for as, really, they themselves stand for nothing, ’empty vessels make the most sound’. Soon, we’ll be hearing two and three-year-olds saying ‘I hate Sarah Palin’. Go, Sarah, Go You will bring back America’s glory!!!

  31. Compared to current White House occupant who is the least qualified president we’ve ever had? How can anyone claim that Sarah lacks qualifications while at the same time support Obama?

What about those who support neither?

  32. Susan, thanks for the boost. I’m comforted by the thought that my wife Stefi and our four grown children feel the same way, and we all treat one another with mutual respect.

The essence of self-respect is, first, to know exactly what you stand for; second, have the courage to tell the world about it without fear and without lies; third, try to live by your creed. That is a sometimes harsh set of expectations, but they always have worked for me.

I live squarely in the middle of this big country of ours. And I think that if I could not be an American nationalist, than neither could I be a Jewish nationalist. And from where I stand on relevant issues, I plainly can see that both America and Israel need stronger, braver and straighter leaders. If anybody wants to challenge me by calling my an American with dual loyalties, my answer is: “So what?”

  33. What Democratic messes have the Republicans cleaned up? Seems to me just the opposite is true, especially after eight years of Bush.

I don’t blame Sarah for resigning the Alaska governorship to pursue a media career. There aren’t many people who end up with the ability to make millions of dollars practically from the moment they hit the national stage. She has secured a better and more secure life for her family.

But she is not a politician deserving of the Presidency of the United States. She fits in more easily with being a cheerleader for a certain segment of the Republicans. She flatly does not have the background. She is not a proven politician, and in my opinion, does not have the intellectual capacity I want to see in a presidential candidate.

  34. Aside from being a no-compromise Zionist and loyal member of the Jewish nation, I’m also a no-compromise American rightwing conservative.

    — Which means that I not only own guns, but shoot them as well, including automatic weapons. Because they are fun, and in states were concealed carry is legal, carrying one around makes sense because a pistol weighs a lot less than a cop.

    — Which means that I support the Tea Party Movement to reform the way the USA is funded and managed, including how much more national debt we want to load onto our great-grandchildren over here.

    — Which means that I want no government dictating my choices of medical care.

    — Which means that I want no homosexuals in the armed forces of the United States, and no recognition of homosexual marriages.

    — Which means that I don’t want our kids’ heads stuffed with leftist indoctrination in the public school system in the name of modern liberalism’s ideas of political correctness.

    — Which means that I want no Islamic Shari’a legal code to have any recognition in American law.

    — Which means that I want illegal aliens picked up in the borderland deserts of Arizona and New Mexico rounded up the US Border Patrol — or by the real US Army, if it comes to that — put behind wire, and shipped back to where they came from, to remain there unless and untill they can show up here with a valid immigration visa issued by an a duly authorized Consulate of the United States.

    — Which means that I want straight-talking American leadership in the tradition of Harry S Truman, Theodore Roosevelt, and Andrew Jackson.

    — Which means that I want Governor Sarah Palin to be elected President of the United States.

    Any questions?

  35. Anyone remember Jesse Ventura? Definitely not your typical politician but he got voted in because Minnesotans wanted change. They wanted someone real. Perhaps Americans havent forgotten that they voted for Obama because they wanted change. Sarah is the only likely would be candidate for change in the RIGHT direction which will benefit the U.S. AND her allies. It is not good to have strained relations with your allies. It allows the enemy to further their agenda.

  36. Do we know enough about her to recommend her for the job of president? Compared to whom?

Compared to current White House occupant who is the least qualified president we’ve ever had? How can anyone claim that Sarah lacks qualifications while at the same time support Obama?

  37. Feminism in Canada is different than the U.S. Feminists in the U.S. are often perceived as hard cold. I dont consider myself a feminist although many men do just because I dont buy into the crap that I am inferior. So I do challenge men and women. In the U.S. Ms. is used much more than in Canada. I dont think its jealousy with the American feminist and Palin. Alot of them are beautiful and self sufficient. She is stuck between a rock and a hard place. She wont be religious enough for the zealots. Too religious for the non religious and the Alaskan way of life doesnt seem to sit well with alot of Americans and many of them dont like the sound of her voice. Alot will depend on economics.

  38. “…she is treated like dirt, like an alien life form. Why?

And why do the feminists outdo even their male allies on the left…”

That’s a no-brainer. She’s beautiful, and they’re probably ugly as sin. They’re jealous, Victor. Don’t worry. She’s used to it, and she handles it well.

  39. Palin is an ideological throwback even in Republican circles.

She is action-oriented and will not be satisfied with restructuring language and image alone. That’s scary.

She draws distinctions and borders to help understand problems. That is anathema to Leftists who insist that the survival of the world depends upon breaking down borders, including sexual mores. family life, national borders, language and custom.

Palin will probably get us into war with Iran. That course will be necessary to prevent a nuclear coercive policy from dominating world oil. The Left is willing to take a chance that the Iranians will not be stupid and power-hungry at the same time. Palin will not.

Palin will make government smaller by the ‘liberal’ use of the presidential veto. This tactic will make life harder for Congress and thus the individuals who work there. There will be no more passing of of unread bills. That crime strikes fear into the hearts of Democrats who were stupid enough to make their institution into a joke.

Palin will apply humanitarian principles to foreign policy that will include ‘the value of the individual’. The suffering of people has never been a big deal in State Department considerations. That will change. It will make America the leader in the world for true human rights. The problem there is that there will be no one to follow. Those in power will not support those who are not in power. It is just unrealistic in their world view. “People die all the time” they say, but Policy goes on forever.”

Palin will not be bought. That is the most scary for the power elite. It does not matter if you are on the right or left. If you have no influence, then what are you?

  40. “One of the reasons I would like to see her as President is that I would love to see what she does.”

We are some millions who would like to see what she does as president !
She could not do worse than the current elected Mandchurian candidate …..

  41. There’s no denying her charisma, her accomplishments and her power. She has accomplished great things despite the forces trying to bring her down.

Do we know enough about her to recommend her for the job of president? Compared to whom? What is the appropriate yardstick. She doesn’t have to be the sharpest blade in the drawer. What is needed is the ability to lead and have others follow. The ability to galvanize her Cabinet, to impose her will by dint of convincing argument and confidence. Sarah has proven she has that ability in spades.

One of the reasons I would like to see her as President is that I would love to see what she does.
