Arab League: No peace without total Israeli withdrawal

Jordan News Agency

Cairo, May 8 (Petra)– The Arab League has reiterated that there will be no peace in the Middle East without a full Israeli withdrawal from all occupied Arab territories and a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The League’s Assistant Secretary General for Palestine and Occupied Lands Affairs Mohammed Subeih told reporters on Saturday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was trying to circumvent the essence of the Arab-Israeli conflict by raising minor issues, namely Iran’s nuclear programme.

He said a 2002 Arab Peace Initiative was the best offer for Israel over the six-decade old conflict.

“Israel should know well that responding (positively) to the land-for-peace Arab initiative is the sole means to attain peace in the region,” he said at a press conference at Arab League headquarters in Cairo.

He said the Arab position firmly upholds turning the Middle East into a zone free of weapons of mass destruction, foremost of which are nuclear weapons.

Subeih noted that the league’s member states had signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty NPT and said Israel should follow suit.

  1. You all seem to have missed the main point:

The Arab League has reiterated that there will be no peace in the Middle East without a full Israeli withdrawal from all occupied Arab territories

He said a 2002 Arab Peace Initiative was the best offer for Israel over the six-decade old conflict.

This means full withdrawal all the way back to Auschwitz!

  3. aside from the fact that the gov does not speak for many in her state

    Poll: Arizonans like immigration bill
A majority of likely voters appear willing to swap tougher enforcement for civil-rights protections, according to a new poll that found 70 percent of likely voters support a measure authorizing police to check the immigration status of anyone they suspect of being an illegal immigrant.

Although critics have staged rallies and protests, fearful it will lead to racial profiling, a Rasmussen Reports poll of 500 likely voters found only 23 percent say they oppose the law, which still must be signed by the governor.

  4. President Obama, No One in Arizona is Laughing

Great retort. This Governor I like she has huevos!!

  5. All occupied territory with east Jerusalem as its capital:

The minimum (red line) demands for the savage muslims to make peace with Jewish Israel includes one where the Jews give all land in the west bank taken from the kingdom of Jordan in the Six Days’ War of 1967 be returned to the muslims.

After the Israeli war of Independence in 1949, the muslims did not set up a palestinian state. Instead, the kingdom of Jordan annexed the west bank and incorporated it into Jordan. They ethnically cleansed the west bank and eastern Jerusalem, including the Old City, of all Jews. Thye desecreated Jewish sites, and forbid Jews from visiting the western wall of our Holy Temple.

Even the secular government of Jewish Israel knew enough, when they regained control of Jerusalem after twenty years, to begin a process wherein east Jerusalem was firmly incorporated into Jewish Israel. Jewish communities were built in a U-shape around Jerusalem, leaving a thin band of muslims in the east, living in part of the Old City and the Mount of Olives.

So Humpty Dumpty has fallen off the wall. His shell has broken and he lies scrambled on the ground. For the muslims to return to 1949 borders is not possible without a massive ethnic cleansing of Jews.

And the question then becomes: where can the peace “process” actually go? Are muslims bluffing, and are really willing to compromise with the despised Jews on borders? What are Israeli Jews willing to give up, after seeing what concessions have yielded them so far? And toward what end what is Obama negotiating? Does he understand the facts on the ground? Does he care? Is he able to make his fellow muslims compromise in any way?

To me, the real inner Obama loves muslims and hates Jewish Israel (and white christian conservative Americans). He is working indirectly towards destroying Jewish Israel, or at least greatly weakening it. He applies constant pressure against Jewish Israel to surrender, makes no demands on his muslim friends, and happily sits by while Iran, Syria, hizbolla, and hamas co-ordinate for a massive strike against Jewish Israel.

  6. Greece in the news last few weeks is a special place for Europeans, with many parallels to Israel. The modern Greek state was established by

outside powers. These powers fought the Turks on behalf of the residents of Greece, who were declared the descendants of the ancient Greeks.

The Greeks were allowed to expel their Muslim minority (‘Turks) and raze their mosques or convert them into churches.

In Greece, church is not separated from state. Hmmm!

  7. Iran on uranium: exchange and enrich

Iran’s FM told Western UN diplomats that his country won’t stop enriching uranium even if it agrees to a revamped offer to be allowed to exchange its uranium stocks for rods.

Bibi, the Jewish state’s kapo, remained unmoved.

  8. He said the Arab position firmly upholds turning the Middle East into a zone free of weapons of mass destruction, foremost of which are nuclear weapons.

Subeih noted that the league’s member states had signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty NPT and said Israel should follow suit.

This is where Arab and American views not to mention, the Worlds view; intersect.
