Francisco Gil White every so often chastises me for not condemning the US unreservedly for trying to destroy Israel. We are currently having such an exchange. Gil White loses patience with me because he believes he has made the case in great detail and I don’t take it to heart at least not in total.
For my part I believe that the US is not all bad. Yes they have always restrained Israel and didn’t even want Israel to come into existence. After the Six Day War they didn’t say, you won the land fair and square, keep it. Instead they engineered a resolution equating land for peace. Thereafter they came down squarely on the side of Israel giving every inch to Sadat. They prevented us from delivering a coup de grace on Arafat and the PLO in Beirut. They even arranged to boat lift them to Tunisia until they could force Israel to let them back into Israel.
Carter got Arafat invited to the UN where he gave a speech while toting a gun. The PLO was America’s device to destroy Israel.
Bush Sr forced us into the Madrid Conference and forced Shamir to put Jerusalem on the table. It lead to Oslo which brought Arafat and his minions back to Israel. Bush Jr demanded we accept the Road Map and even inserted the Saudi Plan into it. It also included the Mitchell Report calling for the end of settlement activity.
Against this litany, I plaintively offered that the US has protected Israel through the use of vetoes at the UN and for a while promised Israel military superiority and even acted on it. This promise is now disappating. Til now we have been able to count on bipartisan support in the House and Senate. That too is eroding at least on the Democrat side.
I argued that the US will be content to get us to retreat to the ’67 lines. I suggested that if the Arabs can accept Israel the US would too. Though I didn’t think this likely.
He begged to differ. He recommended that I read Blowback by Christopher Simpson. It hails itself as the first full account of America’s recruitment of Nazis and its disasterous effect on US domestic and foreign policy. It just so happened that I bought the book 40 years ago and still have it. I’ll have to reead it again.
In 1922 Jewish emigrants were no longer allowed into the US. That’s how my parents ended up in Canada.
Remember that eugenics was started in America and Americans were very pro-German even after Hitler came to power. A number of American industrialists, including grandfather Bush, financed the Nazi rearmament. America attempted to stay out of the war until Japan forced them into it. Preceding the war and during it, the US refused to help the Jews by allowing immigration, bombing the camps or fighting the British restrictions on Jewish immigration to Palestine. The US placed an embargoe on military supplies being sent to Israel from the US prior to their War of Independence. This is fully documented in the Pledge. A great book if you haven’t read it. This embargoe remained until after the Six Day War. It was not until the late fifties that quotas on Jews entering universities were lifted.
Blowback makes the case that the Nazis brought to America, and specifically to the State Department, to further the relationship between the American and German industrialists and fight the USSR, made America more fascist. Gil White believes the impact of these Nazis on the US is with us today and is profound.
It would not be a stretch to say that the US wants Israel destroyed. Getting Israel to retreat to the Auschwitz borders is just a stepping stone, a phased plan if you will.
We both recognize that the State Department and its policies are one thing and the people and their affinities are another. It is our job to rally the people to thwart the State Department.
What a new day for Israel and America it would be, if Sarah Palin was elected President. Imagine, if she were to support Israel’s sovereignty over Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria.

Chelm is Israel today!
Our leaders make the WISE MEN OF CHELM SEEM NORMAL AND RATIONAL.
Jewish lobby enters the high gear every time Israel boycott calls surface in the UK or Canada.
THE WISE MEN OF CHELM;
EXAMPLES:
An elderly man refuses to leave for the air raid shelter until he can find his dentures. His wife yells at him, “What, you think they are dropping sandwiches?”
Closer to Home: the attempts by Egypt to build a wall between them and the Palis has i knew it would FAILED.
As I expected, Gazans broke the underground metal wall which Egypt builds in Rafah to prevent them from digging tunnels.
Palis reported that they managed to cut the wall. By the announcement, they hope to make Egypt to stop constructing the wall.

Not bad.
Must have been some video clip it’s been removed already from Youtube.
I have seen the news and some of the news clips on Fox among others
Even on Fox the discussion and talking heads reduce the argument over whether the schools decision was legal and constitutional but not much on the question of the morality, propriety and the innate patriotism of the conflicting sides to the debate
America seems to have evolved to a point where good and evil, right and wrong is defined solely on the question of “is it Legal”!.Can they sue? If yes, for how much?
In America everything in the end comes down to HOW MUCH$
Obama top recipient of BP contributions last 20 yrs.
According to the Center for Responsive Politics and financial disclosures, over the last twenty years of oil-giant BP’s political action committee, the largest recipient has been President Obama.
Erika Lovely from Politico reports:
BP and its employees have given more than $3.5 million to federal candidates over the past 20 years, with the largest chunk of their money going to Obama, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Donations come from a mix of employees and the company’s political action committees — $2.89 million flowed to campaigns from BP-related PACs and about $638,000 came from individuals…
An Obama spokesman rejected the notion that the president took big oil money.
“President Obama didn’t accept a dime from corporate PACs or federal lobbyists during his presidential campaign,” spokesman Ben LaBolt said. “He raised $750 million from nearly four million Americans. And since he became president, he rolled back tax breaks and giveaways for the oil and gas industry, spearheaded a G20 agreement to phase out fossil fuel subsidies, and made the largest investment in American history in clean energy incentives.”
The oil-giant is also a major player in K Street lobbying activities, nearly tripling lobbying-expenditures the past decade. But in another non-shocker, corporate giving from BP has experienced a major shift toward over the past few years:
In 2008 alone, BP gave $37,000 to members of the House Energy Committee and $106,501 to members of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, which deals with security issues facing the nation’s oil supply…
BP has bulked up its K Street team by signing some of the biggest firms in Washington, several of which employ former Hill staffers with deep-seated ties to Louisiana and the Gulf of Mexico coast.
Politico’s Lovely closes out with this quote from former Rep. Jim Turner, now a lobbyist for BP with Arnold & Porter:
“First, they are exceedingly competent. Second, they are [Democratic-centric]. I know the first will help enormously in the next few weeks. I am not so sure about the second,” said Republican energy lobbyist Mike McKenna of MWR Strategies, who predicted that Landrieu would quite likely get “very wide latitude” on the oil issue. “That may not be the case with BP, whose record is a bit more spotty.”

Ayn, following the Mets/Giants game on the computer. Mets scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 9th to win 6-4. Phil’s beat Braves 7-0, they are hot (not happy about that).
Watching the Yankees, they lead the Red Sox 10-3 top of the 9th.
A little sports takes my mind off this lousy impostor president who is attacking the Tea Party. He knows they will do him in along with the other bleeding liberals.
Karol Rove calls Obama “Moralizer in chief”
I told Caroline Israel should not join the NPT, their nuclear program should be a kept secret. Screw you obama, hell that’s exactly what Iran told him.
yamit,
The big controversy in California is about four American kids who wore red/white/blue to high school on Cinco de Mayo and were sent home because the Mexican kids claimed that it was “disrespectful to the Mexican holiday”.
Below is a related video of a guy in a wheelchair confronting 200 Mexican kids who were marching to demand that the Americans be expelled.
I kid you not.
This is really happening in what we used to call “America”.
Lerner was a professional communist before discovering that pretending to be a rabbi is more lucrative.
His constituency, not unlike that of John Stewart Liebowitz and Joshua Marshall, consists of the DKos/HuffPo “Zionism is Nazism” crowd.
Parenthetically, ever since Charles Johnson of LittleGreenFootballs joined the liberal movement his frequent condemnations of anti-Semitism have disappeared.
Seems that opposing Jew hatred is incompatible with being a progressive in good standing.
Ooops.
Forgot something:
I hate it when I neglect to remember something.
It is so…negligent.

Hmmm.
That means Ed Koch actually believed Obama during the campaign.
Which is worse: being a self-hating Jew, or being a brain-damaged Jew?
It is a question for Socrates or Plato.
Or better yet…yamit.
Obama’s pro-Israel pose was more transparent than OJ’s alibi.
But we live in a world filled with Simpson jurors.
Both Jews and Christians are wrong about hell.
Hell does exist, but not in the afterlife.
It is here and now.
The IDF has been delinquent here.
No capture of terrorists.
Summary execution.
That way, the next prisoner release will consist of tossing skeletons over the security barrier.
When Jews stop viewing masochism as being noble.
Don’t hold your breath.
He views them as legitimately aggrieved victims of Zionist persecution.
It is the view of the Left everywhere…especially on the editorial board of Haaretz.
a similar question has been asked two generations ago
the logical survived – the naive not
Obama supports that goal.
He despises America as much as he hates Israel.
Goldstone: Arab murderers are better than blacks
Yediot Aharonot unearthed data on Goldstone’s rulings while he was a judge in apartheid South Africa.
Goldstone apparently sentenced dozens of black criminals to death – which is fine, but he also wrote in a ruling that gallows are the only deterrent for murderers. That we can also agree with.
Israel: political anti-Semitism allowed
Jerusalem marketJust as the government looks for anti-Jewish incitement in Palestine, Israeli Arabs engage in the very same incitement openly.
Throughout Israel, Arabs are joining Abbas’ call to boycott Jewish products from Judea and Samaria. Never mind that both Abbas government and Israeli Arabs thrive on Israeli subsidies.
As far as Israeli law is concerned, Jews live and work in Judea and Samaria legally. Arab calls for boycott demonstrate either their racial (religious, nationalist) bias or anti-state attitudes.
US to Israel: Thou shalt disarm
US joined other members of the UN Security Council to demand a nuclear-free Middle East. Since Israel is the only country possessing nuclear weapons here, the UNSC called for Israeli disarmament. Not Iran’s!
In tzarist Russia, police used to disarm Jewish self-defense teams before pogroms.
Your right Randy its the secular progressive movement supported and financed with the help of George Soros and Peter Lewis (by the way his father co-founded Progressive Ins Co)both are big in the movement.
Their objective, destroy the Judeo-Christian principals we so cherish.
True, but there is more to it. The Nazis were just one spin-off of what at the time was a modern progressive movement, particularly in the West. Nazism was merely the German’s take on a developing and evolving world view prevalent in more advanced societies around the globe. Progressives [academics, corporations, bankers, politicos]in the West had much in common with Hitler, but most were disenchanted after he decided he would implement his version of fascism and he would be “God”. They were not opposed to fascism as they would have had it.
One may say then, that the progressives impacted the Nazis first in the formative stages. Nazis were only one child of the whore socialism. She has a brood of many. This is one reason the the Nazis had ties with international bankers, Wall Street, and countries around the globe; in the beginning, they had much in common and all grew in the same garden—even if they grew into different weeds. FDR’s social policies were patterned after Mussolini’s; FDR had high praise for the man.
American fascism [Woodrow Wilson – FDR] was prevalent in the 1900s in the “progressive” movement; it was ‘softer’ than European fascism because of our American culture and history. But fascism is a world view. If anything, the Nazis set progressive fascism back by use of barbaric means. Many policies the Nazis would favor are only now finally recovering from the blow against fascism. Nazis would have loved much of what Obama is doing, even if they would have hated him.
The Nazis were only a symptom. The disease is a G-d-less “progressive” worldview which has gone viral globally—especially over the last 100 years. It mutates to fit all societies and cultures around the world. In the US we sometimes call it liberalism; in the end, it is World Socialism.
Ayn, I don’t have the answer as to why we see this and a majority of those that voted for the acorn community organizing anti-Semitic, anti-Israel bastard can’t. Or, don’t they want to? Massive denial. He is a disgrace to the office of the presidency.
Someone caught him at an emergency road stop to do his business.
Election year deception notwithstanding, the point of no return was reached on Day One.
Every action taken by Obama has been designed to weaken Israel, with literally no concern about Palestinian terrorism.
He hopes to impose a settlement that includes denuclearizing Israel while imposing the presence of an international force that will make it impossible for Israel to act militarily.
And of course, he impatiently awaits the arrival of the Iranian nuclear weapon, which will eliminate what leftists like Obama consider to be the historical Zionist mistake.
It has been obvious since Obama appeared on the scene that he hates Israel.
That is why he has always surrounded himself with…TA DA!…Israeli haters.
And still Netanyahu does nothing.
But grovel.
Nope.
BB seems incapable of such valor.
He is intent upon making the best of a bad situation.
Trying to buy a little time prior to the inevitable.
Maybe hoping to wait out Obama.
Not going to happen.
Obama’s top foreign policy objective is to rid the world of Israel, and he will not be delayed.
Until after the election.
Then – unless the GOP wins a traumatizing congressional landslide – it will be time for Obama to make his buddy Khalidi one happy terror groupie.
And even if the Republicans win big, Obama will seek to implement surreptitiously his anti-Semitic agenda.
“By any means necessary”.
It is the Marxist credo.
I won’t credit you with being a fool but you certainly are naive.
Seems to me you said similar things about Bush.
I posted a link to some very good historical research above re: to the “Evian conference” I now repeat it so you won’t have any excuse for missing it and not reading it. The research was made and publicized by a group you should credit with non bias, Christian Action for Israel
Ted what happened to : “If it looks like a duck, talks like a duck and walks like a duck”? Gil White did some serious research as have others and anyone objective omnivorous reader of their extensive research can only come to a single conclusion. It isn’t the one you arrived at, for sure.
The preoccupation of the world with peacemaking between Israel and the Arabs can only be understood in a historical context. On their own, they are unintelligible.
Explain why the nations of the world are so concerned with the national rights of the three-million-non-people and a Palestinian no-nation?
The West doesn’t support independence for hundreds of liberation movements worldwide, including many that clearly involve historically, linguistically, and genetically distinguishable nations. Nor is the West overly concerned with one country taking another’s land: the paragon of democracy has itself annexed a third of Mexico; Russia, Poland, Czechoslovakia, and France annexed core German lands. Nor is anyone really concerned about oppressing minorities, especially when they are hostile: there is no need to appeal to the well-known example of Russia and the Chechens when France legalized Breton names only a few years ago. It’s also hard to see how the West is concerned with religious freedom in places like Saudi Arabia.
What is being asked if not demanded of Israel by the nations, led by America? Are we being asked to make for the sake of Peace only inessential concessions? No, On the contrary, the Road Map plan and the Saudi plan demands that we cede the Temple Mount, Jerusalem, and Judea. If there are Jewish territories on earth, those are the ones. It would be sort of like Russia abandoning the Kremlin, or America selling the White House.
Maybe some painful concessions are historically normal? Not for victors. There is not a single instance in world history when an attacked country won the war, conquered the land of its enemy, and then relinquished it out of goodwill. Israel has been attacked half a dozen times in six decades; taking over the enemy’s land is historically a standard consequence and act retribution.
Is there any benefit for Israel in agreeing to the concessions, however bizarre? No, they are clearly suicidal. No state can possibly exist within eight-mile-wide borders, let alone a state besieged by three hundred million enemies.
The international attitude toward Israel is clarified by the auxiliary demands. Israel has to fight nicely, send her children into urban combat, and even in combat somehow inquire about a target’s terrorist affiliation before shooting. Israel has to be liberal—that is, abandon Judaism, which demands strict morality. Israel has to open herself to foreign influence, thus forgoing her uniquely Jewish lifestyle. Israel has to be democratic—which means, in plain English, to allow Arab voters to subvert the Jewish state. Israel has to be tolerant of minorities and accept Arabs as one third of her population. What will remain of the Jewish state when all those orders are implemented?
No American president can be so stupid as to imagine that Israel can survive within the eight-mile-wide borders that the peace process imposes on her.
Look further. The US, our closest ally, prevents us from attacking Iran, which will acquire nuclear weapons within the next year. The US Administration is therefore okay with a nuclear Iran, which wants to wipe Israel off the map.
This is not an isolated event: America condemned Israel for bombing Iraq’s nuclear reactor. In 1967, the outlook was apocalyptic, Jews dug tens of thousands of graves and prepared for total annihilation, but the US barred us from preempting; it did likewise in 1973.
Two years after the Holocaust, the United States and Britain did not give vote in the UN for the establishment of a Jewish state. When the state was established nonetheless, they embargoed weapons sales.
During the war, polls steadily placed Jews as the most disliked group in America, well ahead of its German and Japanese citizens.
In 1944, the Germans came up with an offer to release up to one million Jews; the Allies refused to negotiate. When Jewish organizations scrambled to collect the necessary amount, the Allies informed them that the borders would remain shut. The Jews were sent to Auschwitz.
During the Holocaust, America, Britain, and Russia conducted daily radio broadcasts in the occupied territories. Millions of people listened to every word. Not a single time did the broadcasters warn the Jews to flee or tell them about the massacres. Stalin knew about the extermination from day one; Roosevelt and Churchill knew at least by January 1942, and probably earlier. Their intelligence intercepted German radio transmissions with exact numbers of murdered Jews, but they did not warn the Jews to flee. So when the Jews boarded the trains to Auschwitz, the name meant nothing to them.
Before the war, when Germans and Austrians repressed the Jews atrociously, Britain took similar measures: just like Germany and Austria, Britain forbade Jews to buy land—in the Jewish national home, entrusted to Britain by the League of Nations. The 1939 White Paper formally reneged on the Balfour declaration and the Mandate’s terms, limited Jewish immigration to a trickle (subject to Arab approval), and blocked Jews from the only place in the world they could escape to.
The Germans got the message: their opponents didn’t want the Jews anywhere.
The Evian Conference – Hitler’s Green Light for Genocide
Kuwait is an American client to the extent that the US Army spared it from Iraq’s just vengeance. But Kuwait was a major base for the PLO, and even taxed local Palestinians for the PLO’s benefit. The Americans had no problem with their intimate client hosting Israel’s mortal enemy.
Besides Kuwait, America is a close friend if not patron of Wahhabite Saudi Arabia, totalitarian Egypt, the Al Jazeera state of Qatar, Bedouin Jordan, terrorist Iraq, and just about every other enemy of Israel. Our American friends sell immense quantities of advanced weapons to Saudi Arabia, provide $1.4 billion in annual aid to Egypt, fought for Kuwait, and spent more in Iraq in the last four years than they gave to Israel in the last forty years.
The US plays it nice: it vetoes the UN’s empty proclamations against Israel, scorns Ahmadinejad for the genuine anti-Israeli feelings of
all Muslims, Then bribes Israel with some pro Israel platitudes and a few billion spent mostly in America for overly expensive and largely unessential military untested war making toys.
America also aids Palestine; though the money nominally bypasses the PLO, it pays the salaries of PLO functionaries and employees. Now America directly funds Fatah, which even pays Al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades and Hamas employees in Gaza with that money. In Palestine, America directly finances anti-Israeli terrorist infrastructure.
Not only US aid, but also US arms sales are doubtfully helpful to Israel. America traditionally offsets arms sales to Israel with deliveries to Arab states. Arab procurement of US weapons greatly exceeds Israel’s. Military aid to Israel hovers at around two billion a year. Since 1970s, inflation and rising weapons costs have eroded that amount to insignificance. Three-quarters of the two billion are spent in the US. The US compound tax rate is 32%, presumably much higher in the defense industry where engineering costs (including taxable salaries) constitute a larger portion of the overall cost. Military aid after taxes therefore is about $1.4 bn annually.
In return for its military grants, America bans Israel from many profitable markets and deals and boosts its own arms exports. Minor aid buys America control over the strongest state in the Middle East and establishes America as regional arbiter.
America follows Jesus’ advice in the parable of the trader who, upon seeing a great pearl, sold everything and bought the pearl. America’s bribes to Israel for compliance are only euphemistically called “aid.” That Israel is the largest recipient of US aid is irrelevant. America pays for a particular benefit—control—not for improving the lives of Israelis. The Palestinians get more aid than Israel both per capita (from all sources) and relative to their GDP.
The free supply of American weapons causes systemic distortions in the Israeli army. The IDF won all its wars lean, but after 1973 it battened on high-end weapons. We don’t need them. Israel’s nuclear option deters regular Muslim armies, and fighting guerillas with ultra-modern weapons is absurd.
Obama cannot make the matters worse for Israel. With $900 million support for Fatah government which refuses recognizing Israel as a Jewish state, the appeasement of ayatollahs, inaction in the face of Taliban taking control over the locations of Pakistani reactors, and total acquiescence to North Korea’s nuclear program – what else can Obama conceivably do to harm Israel? He can’t end the American military support of Israel as it runs through the Congress. Obama would be politically unable to discontinue the aid to Israel while continuing it to Egypt and Palestine.
Obama can revoke export permissions with an executive order and stall the military resupply of Israel. That he would do anyway and reports say that he already has. If we are at war with Arabs; Hussein is no Nixon who shelved his contempt of Jews when he saw that we are fighting for survival. Instead of closing their eyes to the obvious, the IDF top brass must bend over backwards to stock the critical components so we won’t depend on Obama in wartime.
Like every crisis, this one presents an opportunity. Russia watches closely as Israeli relations with the US administration take a nose dive. Snatching Israel away from America is something the Russian rulers would die for – and certainly kill. Russian weapons are many times cheaper than the American ones, their quality is sufficient to defeat the Arabs, and Russian support is non-moralizing.
BB will only attack Iran if Israeli-Obama relations deteriorate to the point of no return.
Only the stupid Jews imagine that the US Administration seeks Israeli benefit in the peace process.
The peace process is just another means of Holocaust
