Mudar Zahran: “Change in Jordan is long overdue”

Mudar Zahran sent me an email which he sent to Frantzman commenting on,
Neither Here Nor There: Jordan and the Abraham Accords

Sorry, Jonathan, you got this one wrong ” While Jordanian officials may not say so explicitly, the animosity harbored by Jordan’s Palestinian population toward Israel has a significant influence on the kingdom’s foreign policies. ”  Nope. Jordan’s Palestinian majority hates the Hashemites with a passion and has not had much care or concern for the Palestinian cause. Evidence? The regime state media itself calls for pro-Palestine events, and facilitates protests in front of the Israeli embassy, despite the Palestinians making up more than 90% of the 10 million population, less than 1000 show up. What does this tell you?

Jordan’s king and his family rule Jordan ONLY BECAUSE the Arab-Israeli conflict has survived. The king antagonizes Israel because his interests are openly linked with Iran and the pro-Iran CIA/White House officials, this began in the days of Bush W not only Obama.

Look at how the king’s kid, the “Crown Prince” is following his father’s lead.

I appreciate your knowledge Sir, but as a former employee of the US State Department myself,  I have come to believe that “Middle East experts” from DC know little about Jordan, and the best expertise they could exhibit is ” Oh, I’ve been to Amman three times”, yep, in the Five Star Hotel, you bet.

Anyways, the change in Jordan is long overdue.  It shall come as a surprise, and just like Trump’s victory in 2016, it will make “the experts” look irrelevant and out of touch.
