BREITBART JERUSALEM

BREITBART

breitbart-jerusalemWASHINGTON D.C. – November 17, 2015 – After successfully launching Breitbart London in 2014, the Breitbart News Network continues its international expansion with the launch of a new content vertical and bureau in Jerusalem, Israel. Breitbart Jerusalem will produce daily, hard-hitting exclusive news and features related to Israel and will also cover Syria, Egypt, Jordan, Yemen, Saudi Arabia and beyond. The bureau will be led by veteran Middle East correspondent Aaron Klein, an Israel-based American reporter, weekend talk radio host and New York Times bestselling author.

“Israel, much like London, is on the frontlines of our current cultural and political war,” said Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon. “There is a growing global anti-establishment revolt against the permanent political class at home, and the global elites that influence them, which impacts everyone from Israel to the U.S. Our international team and coverage offers a bird’s eye view from the front lines of the cultural and political battles taking place across the West.”

Klein is known for his enterprising investigative reporting, news making interviews with terrorists and Islamic extremists, and for his near constant stream of scoops on both the Middle East and the Obama administration. He joins Breitbart from WND.com, where he has served as senior reporter and Jerusalem bureau chief since 2005. Before his death in 2012, Andrew Breitbart approached Klein to run the website’s Jerusalem bureau.

“Hurricane Breitbart is about to hit the Middle East and I’m honored to be at the center of the storm,” said Klein. “The Breitbart revolution has been exploding in the U.S. and across Europe and it’s time to deploy that energy to the streets of Jerusalem and beyond. I look forward to working with the company’s esteemed leaders, including Steve Bannon, Larry Solov and Alexander Marlow.”

“The anti-establishment approach of Breitbart News and its dedication for reporting the truth that others don’t want to tell has captured a growing audience not limited by geographic borders,” said Breitbart News President and CEO Larry Solov. “Andrew Breitbart’s vision, even when it was just the two of us working out of a basement, was for Breitbart News to offer a voice to freedom-loving people everywhere and to tailor their news experience both locally and globally.”

Breitbart Jerusalem is staffed by a specialized team, including Ali Waked, former Arab affairs correspondent at Ynetnews, Israel’s leading news website; and reporter Deborah Danan. Researcher Brenda J. Elliott, co-author of four of Klein’s books, joins the team to focus on domestic investigations. There are plans to expand the bureau in the coming weeks with exciting new hires.

“Israel is the lone democracy in the most tumultuous region in the world, yet most of the American press portrays the small country as morally equivalent–if not morally inferior–to those who seek to destroy it,” said Breitbart News Editor-In-Chief Alex Marlow. “With Aaron Klein and Breitbart Jerusalem, we will report on important and exciting stories from the ground in the Middle East and we’ll provide balance to the overwhelming anti-Israel sentiment in Western media.”

The bureau opens at a critical time for the region, with Israel facing a so-called Palestinian wave of terror; Russia menacing in Syria and Iraq; ISIS surging across the region and traditional U.S. allies posturing in response to the nuclear deal between Iran and Western powers.

I found aaron klein to be an excellent alternative source before the benghazi situation busted out. I wondered what happened to him recently when I saw no new posts for months on his website.

I look forward to this and hope its the same quality as Aaron before. I found him to report without editorializing his views, giving alternate perspectives from alternate sources… that in my mind proved to be accurate.
