Ulpana Residents, Government Sign Agreement
Residents of the Ulpana neighborhood of Beit El agree to leave their homes non-violently in exchange for 300 new homes. Actually Netanyahu had already promised that. But now he has promised to uphold his promise.
I read all the reports on this agreement and am no smarter for it. There seems to be some kind of deal that Arutz Sheva describes as follows:

The agreement includes the construction of 300 housing units in Beit El in a defined and agreed upon schedule and the establishment of a ministerial committee that will deal with issues regarding the Jewish settlement in Judea and Samaria (Yehuda and Shomron). The committee is to ensure that, in future, no decisions to demolish neighborhoods or communities are made by the government, the Attorney General or the Ministry of Defense.
Frankly, I don’t know what that means.

The agreement also stipulates that the homes on the disputed land will be moved to a new location without being destroyed.
Surely it has to cost a lot more money to move the apartments rather than to destroy them and build others. This is a waste of money.
The religious settlers and their Kapo rabbis are nothing but whores. They will violate even the Torah, IF THE PRICE IS RIGHT! They have betrayed all the young supporters who flocked and would have flocked to Beit El to defend the rights of the Ulpana residents and the principle that every Jewish home is a Holy Mandate that no government or court has a moral right to destroy.
Only a fool or a Nave would believe BB’s promises or for that matter any government. Residents of Yamit and Gush Katif should have served as living examples, teaching that Governments promises are not worth the paper they are written on.
One of the reasons why there will, in the end,have to arise a 2nd Jewish State in Y&S is because those stupid religious Jews will not fight against other Jews or the Israeli government. They will fight the Arabs!
What is insanity is in any normal country, the government would just compensate the previous owners and let the the residents live where they are.
But only Israel inflicts cruelty upon Jews for no good reason whatsoever.
