  5. Max, that’s a mistake by Israel. They should not have withdrawn from Gaza. They could have continue throughout the strip removing Hamas driving them into the sea.

    What’s Moshe Ya’alon participation these days? If they had listened to him there would have been no withdrawal from Gaza , no Hamas, no rockets, no Iranian surrogate port. etc etc.

    Maybe they can trade Olmert for Gilad Shalit.

    Sounds good, until we recall how those same monitors fled Gaza after Hamas takeover, and how useless the UNIFIL proved in Lebanon.

    When they ruled the Strip, Egyptians used to shell it indiscriminately. Today, they have no qualms about blocking Hamas there at any cost to the locals.

    Arafat taught and fought with violent acts of terrorism, which, Israel has been able to neutralize to a great extent. Given some success in gaining global sympathy with the flotilla, it will be interesting to see if manufacturing outrage, political maneuvering, and manipulation of media will be the new ‘terrorism’.
