13 Americans Killed in Kabul

Biden’s Benghazi  By Daniel Greenfield

Muslim feelings were more important than American lives.

More American soldiers died in one week of Biden’s retreat than in the last two years of war. “

“We did it, Joe!”

By Robert Spencer, FPM

The nominal president of the United States looked even more tired and defeated than usual in his remarks about the jihad-martyrdom suicide bombings in which thirteen Americans were killed at what is still called Hamid Karzai International Airport, but which the Taliban should soon rename the Joe Biden International Airport, in honor of the man who has done so very much for their cause.

The jihad massacre came as Politico revealed that “U.S. officials in Kabul gave the Taliban a list of names of American citizens, green card holders and Afghan allies to grant entry into the militant-controlled outer perimeter of the city’s airport, a choice that’s prompted outrage behind the scenes from lawmakers and military officials. The move, detailed to POLITICO by three U.S. and congressional officials, was designed to expedite the evacuation of tens of thousands of people from Afghanistan as chaos erupted in Afghanistan’s capital city last week after the Taliban seized control of the country. It also came as the Biden administration has been relying on the Taliban for security outside the airport.”

Yes, you read that right: “the Biden administration has been relying on the Taliban for security.” If anything is emblematic of the wrongheadedness and impotence of the regime in Washington, and its utter indifference to the well-being of the American people, both those that are stuck in Kabul and those that are stuck stateside, it’s that phrase: “the Biden administration has been relying on the Taliban for security.”

Now, the American government many years ago decided that Islam had nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism, and that studying Islamic doctrine in order to understand the behavior, motives, and goals of jihad terrorists was not only a worthless endeavor, but one that was undertaken only by “Islamophobes” who were more of a threat to the United States than the jihadis they were studying in order to defeat. And so that cow left that particular barn a very, very long time ago, and there is consequently no reason to think that anyone in Biden’s handlers’ State or Defense Departments have the first foggiest idea of the fact that making agreements with jihad terrorists is useless, because they will not honor agreements made with infidels for any longer than they need those agreements.

Islamic law holds up the Treaty of Hudaybiyya as the model for all agreements with infidels. This was, according to Islamic tradition, an agreement Muhammad entered into with the pagan Quraysh who controlled Mecca at that time. Islamic tradition also records that when Muhammad no longer needed the treaty, he broke it.

That, as far as the Taliban are concerned, since they scrupulously follow Islamic law, is how one makes deals with infidels. And so when they told Biden’s handlers that they would provide security outside the airport, Biden’s handlers should have known that this agreement would last only as long as the Taliban believed they needed it, and not one second longer. Alsoin play may have been a memorable aphorism attributed to Muhammad: “War is deceit.” Might the Taliban have fooled Biden’s handlers into thinking they would be good for security, all the while luring the Americans into a trap in order tomaximize American deaths?

Biden’s savvy, “America is back” team of foreign policy experts should have seen all this coming, and never gotten into this situation in the first place. But they didn’t, because they know it’s a religion of peace, and that you’re a vicious “Islamophobe” for thinking otherwise.

Yes, Leftists will pipe up at this point, Trump concluded a deal with the Taliban, too. Yes, he did. And no, he shouldn’t have done so, either. But Trump did not entrust the security of Americans to the Taliban, or leave Americans unprotected in a catastrophic withdrawal that seems designed, if it has any design at all, only to maximize the number of Americans left behind.

After all, the administration was much more concerned with bringing Afghans to the United States than rescuing Americans in Kabul. Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said on August 15: “Once we get more airlift out of Kabul, we’re going to put as many people on those planes as we can. There will be a mix…not just American citizens, but perhaps some Afghan SIV [Special Immigrant Visa] applicants as well. We’re going to focus on getting people out of the country, then sorting it out at the next stop. It’s not going to be just Americans first, then SIV applicants.”

And at a Defense Department briefing Monday, Army Maj. Gen. Hank Taylor boasted: “In the past 24 hours, uh, five flights landed at Dulles International Airport, with approximately 1,300 passengers. At this time, four military installations, as well as Dulles International, are receiving Afghans as they, uh, come into the United States. These installations include Fort McCoy, Wisconsin; Fort Lee, Virginia; Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey; and Fort Bliss, Texas. The total number currently at these installations is approximately 1,200, and NORTHCOM continues to build out capacity, uh, to ensure they are prepared to receive more flights that will come in the next few days.”

Those 2,500 Afghans were just a small percentage of Biden’s handlers’ plans to bring 30,000 Afghans to the United States. It’s unclear exactly how many have already arrived. But they will likely become reliable Democratic party voters, and that’s all that matters. As Kamala Harris said, “We did it, Joe!” 13 American service members killed in Kabul? Well, a lot of them probably voted for Trump, anyway. The Afghan new arrivals won’t make that mistake. And so all will be well. But watch for the next jihad massacre, and for Old Joe to look even worse during his recitation of his scripted remarks that time. It’s all right. He doesn’t write any mean tweets!

  1. I mistakenly posted this on the wrong topic. It belongs here:

At-risk, Taliban-targeted Afghan Christian pastors are being barred by the US State Department from fleeng the country.

“…Since Aug. 20, Christians in Afghanistan have tried to board flights leaving the country. “Among a group that began with more than 100 people are 22 leaders in the Afghan church whom the Taliban have identified and in some cases targeted with its Aug. 15 takeover of the city,” World Magazine reported on Aug. 25.

“They haven’t been able to leave because “U.S. forces have repeatedly turned away Afghan Christians at airport entrances, despite the group’s following instructions from the State Department and U.S. military” according to the Christian news site edited by author Marvin Olasky, an intellectual architect of “compassionate conservatism.”

“The Catholic News Agency also reports Christians are being turned away by U.S. officials, even though they have the required paperwork.

“Acting with urgency, several nonprofits and private groups are evacuating as many Christians as they can…”

They are far worse than reckless cowards. The individuals in authority over these actions are treasonous interlocutors who have sanctioned the rape, murder and enslavement, literally, of hundreds, if not thousands, of their own countrymen, women and children, not to speak of the horrors that they have forced upon our recently betrayed allies. They have knowingly provided material support in the form of detailed intelligence and sensitive and highly classified advanced military hardware to known and acknowledged terrorist organizations that have waged war against the US for twenty years. The well known, little rehearsed, penalty for such acts of willful treason should be pursued against every single member of those who authored illegal orders.

Those men and women who disregarded such illegal orders have my highest respect and gratitude, but more than this, they have signaled that there is a recognition in the ranks that unlawful orders are illegitimate and are to be disregarded. The treasonous actions by the general command are significant, but so too was the determination by those brave soldiers to distinguish themselves by refusing to execute such illegal orders.

  3. @ Peloni it is amazing that soldiers have to defy orders to save people and volunteers have to rescue people.

Biden and his senior commanders appear to be heartless cowards.
Other volunteer groups (including Glen Beck) are rescuing Christian Afghans who would be murdered under the Taliban because they are considered apostates. Glen Beck has said he has to fight the White House and other US officials as they hinder his efforts.

In fact they hindered them so much some of the people they were trying to rescue ended up getting killed in the explosion.

  4. US Veterans doing what active US forces are prevented from doing. This is disgraceful.

Operation ‘Pineapple Express’ – Rogue Team of Retired US Vets Rescue Afghan Allies During Secret Missions Conducted BEHIND BIDEN’S BACK

A group of highly trained US military veterans have been conducting secret rescue missions behind the Biden State Department’s back, rescuing hundreds of Afghan allies from Afghanistan with their heroic efforts.

Furious over the terrible situation in they had already sacrificed so much to prevent when they served, the team of retired specialists, including Green Berets and Navy SEALS, risked their lives. They volunteered to travel to Kabul because they were afraid that Joe Biden was abandoning at-risk Afghan elite forces, leaving them to die at the hands of terrorists.

They felt it was necessary for someone to step up and were baffled “that our own government didn’t do this,” former Navy SEAL Jason Redman told ABC.

“We did what we should do, as Americans,” he said.

“I just want to get my people out” – Maj. Jim Gant, a retired Green Beret also told ABC

The operation started about a week ago and was called “pineapple express.” Team members used images of pineapples on their phones to communicate who they were and would usually smuggle people into the airfield in the dead of night.

The rogue team also used “pineapple express” as a password that was given to US military members who denied their orders to assist the veterans when they brought people to the airfield.

They had been operating until Thursday morning, when some of their team were among those injured in the suicide bombing near the airport that killed over 180, including 13 US Military members.

    According to New York Post:

ABC said some Pineapple Express travelers were injured in the terror attack, and the group was still assessing whether any were among the more than 180 killed.

Some of those rescued said they witnessed people just inches away from them being killed, while others refused to leave unless their family members were also evacuated.

We pray for their safe and full recovery. If any of them were among those killed, their blood is on Biden’s hands.

The heroic team started with the goal to rescue an ex-Afghan commando that was under imminent threat from the Taliban for having worked with US military forces in the past. They were able to get him and his family safely out of danger.

After that mission was a success, they waded through sewers and used satellite imagery to avoid dozens of Taliban checkpoints so they could covertly smuggle people to the airport.

Their courageous efforts have enabled 630 people to safely get to their evacuation flights out of Afghanistan.

The volunteer unit was commanded by Lt. Col. Scott Mann, a retired Green Beret commander. He explained how the team was proud to have risked their lives to save “dozens of high-risk individuals, families with small children, orphans, and pregnant women.”

He explained to ABC: “This Herculean effort couldn’t have been done without the unofficial heroes inside the airfield who defied their orders to not help beyond the airport perimeter, by wading into sewage canals and pulling in these targeted people who were flashing pineapples on their phones.

These brave heroes had already sacrificed so much fighting in Afghanistan so the Taliban could not continue their evil reign of terror. The last thing they should have to do is go back into a hostile war zone to rescue people that have been left behind by the Commander in Chief.

These men deserve to be accommodated and recognized for their amazing strength and resolve. Thank You!

Biden, on the other hand, handed the terrorists everything they needed to rise again and gave them a list of American citizens and allies who are still behind enemy lines.

But thankfully, there are still a few good men out there who are willing to do what’s necessary.

  5. Marine Battalion Commander, Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller, Relieved of Duty For Criticizing Pentagon Decision on Bagram AFB
    August 27, 2021 | Sundance | 217 Comments

Lt. Col Scheller made a public Facebook post criticizing the insufferable decisions in Afghanistan that led to the deaths of 13 U.S. Marines. The primary issue was the closure of Bagram air base, which many have looked upon at the most brutally obvious strategic blunders in the Afghan exit. Within his remarks Scheller said:

“I’m not saying we’ve got to be in Afghanistan forever. But I am saying, did any of you throw your rank on the table and say, ‘Hey, it’s a bad idea to evacuate Bagram Airfield, a strategic airbase, before we evacuate everyone’? Did anyone do that? And when you didn’t think to do that, did anyone raise their hand and say, ‘We completely messed this up’?” WATCH BELOW:[Video at link at bottom]

Shortly after Lt. Col. Scheller posted this video he was removed from command. Despite the overwhelming agreement we share with his outlook, it is also true that compromising or questioning command leadership is a valid reason for removal. That’s why CTH was angered at the Pentagon failure to remove Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman after he questioned the Commander in Chief, President Trump. A brutal double standard.

In a follow-up Facebook post, Scheller noted he was relieved of command at 14:30 today.
