‘1 million Palestinians to settle in Jordan under Trump plan’

T. Belman.  Its getting to look a lot like what I have been proposing for the Jordan Option.

Report says Trump peace plan includes Jordan ceding territory to Israel, settling 1 million Palestinians, forming confederation with PA.

By David Rosenberg, INN

Bolton, Pompeo, Trump

A report released Friday morning claims that the soon-to-be released Middle East peace plan drawn up by the Trump administration – dubbed the “Deal of the Century” – includes large-scale resettlement of Palestinian Arabs in Jordan, the ceding of Jordanian territory to Israel, and the formation of a tripartite confederation between Jordan, the Palestinian Authority and Israel’s Civil Administration to administer Judea and Samaria.

According to the report, published by the Beirut-based Al-Akhbar, sources in Jordan and Egypt say that the much-anticipated peace plan would include a broad regional agreement, with a number of Arab states taking an active role in the deal.

Jordan, for instance, will be asked to permanently settle one million Palestinian Arabs currently listed as refugees. Under the plan, according to the Al-Akhbar report, Jordan would first naturalize 300,000 Palestinian Arabs, including those already living in Jordan, which the report said number no more than 200,000.

Details regarding the present location of the remaining 800,000 were not provided in the report.

Similarly, Lebanon will be urged to grant citizenship to all Palestinian Arabs currently living in the country. The roughly 450,000 Palestinian Arabs in Lebanon have largely been denied citizenship by the Lebanese government, which has restricted their rights since their entry in 1948.

Aside from taking in Palestinian Arabs, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan will also be asked to cede to Israel two areas currently leased by the Jewish state.

Naharayim (Al-Baqoura), which straddles the border between northern Israel and northern Jordan, and Tzofar (Al-Ghamr), adjacent to the Arava district of Israel, were leased to Israel following the Israel-Jordan peace treaty in 1994.

Last year, however, Jordan’s King Abdullah announced that he would not extend the least for another 25-year period, leaving Israeli farmers who use the sites uncertain of their future access to the areas.

According to Friday’s report, both Naharayim and Tzofar would be ceded to Israel.

In exchange for Jordan’s cooperation, the Hashemite Kingdom would be compensated to the tune of roughly $45 billion dollars in foreign grants and funding for various projects. In addition, Saudi Arabia would cede to Jordan territory along the Saudi-Jordanian border roughly equivalent in size to Naharayim and Tzofar.

Jordan would also be asked to form a tripartite confederation with the Palestinian Authority and Israeli Civil Administration in Judea and Samaria, the report claimed – a request Jordan has expressed concerns about.

Egypt would also play a major role in the peace deal, the report claimed, citing Egyptian sources which said American officials have floated the idea of opening up large swathes of the Sinai Peninsula near the Gaza Strip for the establishment of industrial zones for Gaza’s burgeoning population.

While the territories in question would not be annexed to Gaza under the Trump plan, according to the report, Egypt would grant Gazan workers expanded access to portions of the northeastern Sinai.

In exchange – and as part of the effort to develop the industrial zones – Egypt would receive some $65 billion in foreign grants and payments for projects in northern Sinai.

  1. See this highly relevant comment in Arutz Sheva:

Jordan is in a state of denial – or worse
Ignoring Trump’s peace plan is not going to work. Rejecting it is not a good idea.

  2. @ Frank Adam:The problem with this proposal, Frank, is that both the PLO and Hamas have powerful friends abroad (even though their friendship for Hamas is semi-covert), who would probably initiate retaliatory sanctions against Israel if Israel were to starve the Hamasniks, or the Fatahniks out. The allies of the Palestinian “entities include the entire EU bloc, Russia, and China. All of these countries are important trading partners with Israel. All might go so far as to organize convoys of ships to feed the Palestinians, protected by their warships.

  3. Proponents of the ‘one million Arabs resettled in Jordan’ program slyly suggest the migrants will depart out of Judea Samaria. Well they won’t. To be clear, they will not check out of Jenin or Tulkarm. Nor will there be an outflow of Israeli Arabs from the Galilee or Wadi Ara into Jordan.

No, the newcomers to Jordan, will rather come from shanty towns outside Latakia, 650 kilometers away from Tel-Aviv, and relocate to a mere 100 kilometers distance from Tel-Aviv at the border with Jordan.

They will be joined by the masses of the dispossessed from the Hejaz, who have no relation to Israel whatsoever and the unwashed also have-nots from Mesopotamia where the news will spread like wildfire. Infidels are offering new life support in Amman. They will wave rusty keys of alleged imaginary homesteads in pre-Independence ‘Balestine’. This is so utterly fake, they even cannot pronounce the name of their country properly.

Once ensconced on Israel’s border they all will become even more hostile neighbors, demanding to occupy the land and throw its Jewish inhabitants into the Sea.

The ‘one million Arab resettlement’ is a rehash of the British colonial enterprise of the 1930s and 40s. Ostensibly mandated to promote a Jewish Home Land, the British refused entry to millions of Jews seeking refuge from certain annihilation during the darkest hours of the Shoah.

Instead the British during their ill-managed stewardship encouraged an unbridled inflow of Arab immigrants, in an attempt to dilute nullify and frustrate any Jewish prominence in the Holy Land.

Now, 100 years later, the nations of the world are setting up a similar program in Jordan, aspiring to create a threat to Israel on its Eastern border.

Better to leave Jordan as it is today. Weak and desolate.

  4. PA and Trump renege on things all the time. What parts of this deal will fall through to make it a success? What is Israel expected to give up?

  5. My plan is that Jordan be seen as the Palestinian state and Israel the Jewish one. These two states have a peace agreement. Abbas has no say in the matter and if Abdullah doesn’t agree, he will be replaced.

What more do you need to know? Michael Maguire Said:

“and the formation of a tripartite confederation between Jordan, the Palestinian Authority and Israel’s Civil Administration to administer Judea and Samaria.”

You have no idea what this means or what is intended. Let me clarify. The PA as administrator of Area A will be replaced with a joint administration by Israel, Jordan and the PA. Nothing more. The PA will wither away during the next two years leaving Jordan and israel in charge.

  6. “and the formation of a tripartite confederation between Jordan, the Palestinian Authority and Israel’s Civil Administration to administer Judea and Samaria.”

So after almost 100 years, the Mandate for Palestine 1922 will STILL not be implemented under the “Deal of the Century”.

I am sure glad the ‘deal of the millennium’ is not being offered!

  7. @ Ted Belman:
Ted I really have no idea what this hodge podge from Trump is all about. I am presuming it is accurate enough.

However I have my own views as I read the following:

“A report released Friday morning claims that the soon-to-be released Middle East peace plan drawn up by the Trump administration – dubbed the “Deal of the Century” – includes large-scale resettlement of Palestinian Arabs in Jordan, the ceding of Jordanian territory to Israel, and the formation of a tripartite confederation between Jordan, the Palestinian Authority and Israel’s Civil Administration to administer Judea and Samaria.”

In fact that is OSLO 2 and that IS The Palestinian State.

That is just a slight little problem.

There is another little problem. As we learn more about this the independent action of Jews and the Israel State lessens and the Arabs, Americans and goodness knows who, Corbyn, Livingstone and Galloway perhaps, take over.

The whole thing is going to be a complete farce.

  8. @ Frank Adam:
In this sentence I already have differences with you. Firstly the US is very powerful so we cannot “forget it” but that is not my main point. I said that what the PA or Hamas does or think is at best secondary, what is critical is what Israelis think and decide to do. For that is needed massive “indoctrination” in truth by the state machine of Israel itself. No other way. The tactics flow from that not the other way around.

  9. THE INTERMINGLING BETWEEN THE PHILOSOPHY AND THE PRACTICE (OR PRACTICAL TOO)

What the PA thinks, decides or does is not that important and also that of Hamas…the same! What is important is the thinking of Jews in Israel and without, and the struggle for theory in opposition to revisionism on the issue.

The key issue of sovereignty over this historical area is the number one concept.

Jews are for sovereignty in Judea and Samaria because that is the actual birth of their movement in the beginning, and this has never wavered over 3000 or so years. Gaza is a small area also associated with this history.

That is the general perspective that must be the common perspective.

In the immediate the whole situation must be rapidly transformed by the Israeli state machine because Hamas has proved that Jews are in danger of death from very advanced rockets from many direction.

It is an existentialist situation right now with the development of weapons by antisemtiism.

It is thus the marriage between those two concepts, the general and the particular, or, the philosophical and the practical flowing from the philosophical, that is so important.

Trump has supported Netanyahu on the Golan and I do not expect Trump to oppose him on his new statement re sovereignty in Judea and Samaria. So I say support them on this. But if you read what I have written above this support must be very, very critical support. In other words we will walk with you on this but we will remain and maintain our own independent thinking and practice. By this I mean the situation is not at all simply about some Jewish villages in one area but an overall perspective which settles the issue.

There must be a massive “indoctrination” in the truth of history and for that is needed to use the full power of the state. That is not the position of anybody that I know of. That is my position a position which also has deep historical roots. Rest assured that position has historical roots too.

  10. Since Trump says the plan has to be agreed on by the parties and not imposed, I look forward to the rejection of the plan by the PA and it ‘s replacement solution being the Ted plan where Jordan is Palestine and financial incentives persuade the entire population to move there.
Perhaps the Turks can take in the Gazans and then Gaza can be made into a world class beach and golf resort.

  11. PA will confirm its rejection of Trump Peace Plan after it is formally unveiled.

Israel will be acting as follows if Bibi continues as PM:

In a TV interview later in the evening, Netanyahu clearly stated that he will apply sovereignty over all Israeli settlements in the next government. Netanyahu emphasized that he will not differentiate between settlement blocs and individual settlements.

    https://www.jewishpress.com/news/politics/netanyahu-considers-annexing-parts-of-judea-and-samaria-after-elections/2019/04/06/

  12. The PA have already rejected the Trump Deal so forget it. The Germans surrendered in Stalingrad the week their food ran out. So every time there is a rocket, mortar or fire kite etc turn off the utilities and stop a transit of goods and people to and from Gaza for a day per projectile. Bit by bit their stocks of everything will run down till they do give up the prisoners and bodies and those released for Gilad Shalit and others. Finally Sarwar and Haananiah will have to come out and sign freely at a table before cameras like the Japanese on the USS Missouri that Hamas is going to behave peaceably, not say derogatory rubbish about Jews and Israel and sign that Jews like other nations have self determination in their historic homeland and it was a silly mistake to upset UN policy of erecting a state of a Jewish majority.

  13. I hope I have shown that there is censorship going on in this critical area of the public discussion that we are involved with. I am opposed to censorship in all its forms. My experience of Ted Belman since I have known him is that he has been more open than many, and this is a good thing. But he may be changing a little due to the pressure of the climate created by big problems.

Why go into the discussion or try to create the discussion … by going in to limit the discussion. Nothing in that regard is better at limiting the discussion than to slap labels on people and nothing is worse if you are seeking to begin and to later deepen the discussion. And I definitely do not mean centrism or giving in on principles at all. Note that Martin Sherman is always very comprehensive in his arguments and he never labels his opponents. It is so easy to do the opposite. The speed that I was put into the “very nasty person” box by certain of these people on Jihadwatch taught me a big lesson. And it was not my fault. They did it. The organisers of a discussion will avoid labels.

if you use the term Nazi then that is very acceptable BUT it entails an historical understanding. Fascist also. Above all labels or descriptions are great if there is an historical foundation to it…Left Fascist yes because there was a definite component right there in the party of Hitler. These are all historical terms and literally not ONE person on Breitbart has this understanding at all.

There is a strong case to be made for doing nearly nothing at all. I dislike all this gabbing at these meetings by Trump

    A great big wall
    A beautiful big wall
it will be beautiful it will

    A great new peace agreement
    A beautiful thing
    Never achieved before

I would not go there with Trump at all even though I see him as a friend of Israel and great things can be achieved with him but not at all with him in control of anything

So I would follow Samson and Yamit and do nearly nothing at all, but the opposite in that I would fill the vacuum with indoctrination and the more regulation in this the better I would like it.

By this time you will know that I am influenced by Marxism and that whole train of thought, opposed thereby to Anarchism to our very foundations, and the state power must be used to its maximum, because we are not living in perfect bliss, but in conditions of war.

This is all nearly philosophical and no blueprint at all, deliberately, but I am of the opinion that this makes sense.

It is totally removed from everybody I know that is engaged in politics, everywhere, not just in Israel. But the philosophical way IS the way.

  14. Edgar

There is no doubt at all that Breitbart and Infowars, plus Trump and all his gang in the White House, are censoring on the Global Warming topic. I see it all the time and I see it especially in recent days on this Canada Arctic issue.

In fact I will tell you something “in confidence”. it is happening right here on Israpundit.

You will remember 6 months or so ago Adam Dalgliesh was very strong in argument on this issue. He has clearly taken a conscious decision…Because it is causing so much conflict, and since it conflicts with so many other “Jewish” issues…I am going to SAY NOTHING (he foolishly says to himself!”.

Is that what Judaism is about? Of course not. It is a great philosophy. But that by Adam is self censorship.

That is what we have come to.

  15. Edgar

I was born in a thatched cottage near the border. The floor had probably sandstone flags the rest was cement. I would say some years before perhaps around 1900 that floor would have been clay.

I went to college and like teenagers I became a smartass. But that passed too.

My position on Global Warming. If this is correct it is serious, so serious. It has that possibility.

    there can certainly be fakery.

But I care about earth especially animal life. And I want to take this out of the left right thing, and the republcan democrat thing.

I keep learning a great deal. Yesterday I downloaded articles about a place in the North West Territories called Banks Island.

I learned much from these articles but I am no scientist, just a guy learning new things. For example it went into how there is a “flow” up there, ice is actually formed up there in a Russian area, the feature there is that there are SHALLOW seas, and a flow is created. So from banks Island they are these scientists also looking and trying to understand this Flow.

this happened on my Facebook yesterday.

I wrote about the Democratic coup on Trump. This guy who has some past int he FBI totally agreed.

Then he said I was taking a “Gospel” position on these events in Canada Arctic.

You see what he just did. He labelled me. I was just reading the stuff. HE HAD NOT READ!

And that is the dangerous thing I notice on Breitbart as regards the issue of Global Warming. And this is you will agree a philosophical method. It can easily translate into trump on Israel.

this guy upset me. From a position of ignorance 1. he labelled me 2.he censored my thinking and 3. he ended the discussion and effectively relationship.

I am talking in general terms here. This position of Breitbart, Trump and Infowars cannot possibly hold. Effectively they are censoring on the issue of Global Warming and censoring vcan never ever prevail or we are doomed. but they are very powerful too.

  16. MUCH CONFUSION IN ISRAEL AND CONFUSION IS ALWAYS DANGEROUS

Of course the situation is very worrying on a world scale. The working class as a force we have seen in the past is totally beheaded by Stalinism, reformist labourism and out and out anarchist revisionists like MeToo and BDS. Then we have seen what Bush did in Iraq, and Cameron and Sarkozy in Libya. The defeat of Saddam when he was no threat and the manufacturing of lies around Colin Powell, the rising of these campaigns of propaganda as carried out by Cameron against Gadhafi, the way they can start calling nations and states Nazis at the drop of a hat, they did this in Yugoslavia in the 1990s, then Saddam, then Mubarak, then Gadhafi, slipping in Gaghbo of Ivory Coast. This is one sick system.

I am talking to Jews here and this is my worry. In the midst of this it is not surprising to me that there is such a rise of Antisemitism.

Straight thinking would have shown to Bush et al onwards that Islam is the number one danger in all of these events. Inside of 40 years Islam will be in power in France due to the (alone no more immigration needed) Muslim womb.Yet every time they do not take that into account.

Figure that out! Is it the non stop propaganda stating that Islam is a religion of peace. I think it is that. But also it is that there is no left. So therefore even though I oppose Islam out of all on the left clearly I found myself the victim of a censoring on of all places Jihadwatch.

Jabotinski would have talked to me, so would many others, it was open discussion, but for me to try to talk in any way with Breitbart, just read the comments, would be an impossibility, the left has been placed out of bounds, the whole history is submerged there, those people there have a great debt to pay to our world for doing this.

This is not the same in Israel. Bear Klein makes that clear. They are patriots across the board. I mean Martin Sherman is the most open minded guy you will ever meet.

Even patriots is getting it wrong. They are all patriots in Israel. Far more than is granted. But it is an ideological divide.

The proof of this is that the concept of two states for two peoples is still there.

    INDOCTRINATION IN TIS GOOD SENSE

Needed is a party to win the power of the state and complete a total indoctrination in history, but this time based on the truth of history.
The people, the French and British, most hateful to Jews are also the ones most threatened by our common enemy, Islam.

I raised the issue of Global Warming. It was a philosophical point regarding Bush, Cheney and that mentality. It was badly made and only confused.
As regards Yamit and the Samson guy, do nothing is not do nothing, but do nothing is actually complete indoctrination (in the truth)

I mentioned Jihadwatch. What happened was…I said publish the epistle by Tarrant, critique it, then these very people who I talk about saw their chance, using communist hatred they had me banned. It was a critique of Tarrant but they twisted what I said. Spencer politically is not so smart as people think. he is like a university prof who has specialized in one area.

In that overall picture once you get a strong Communist, that is anti Stalinist socialist, movement in existence fighting Islam it is game over against all those types like BDS. But ideologically places like Jihadwatch cannot reach there.

It is the same kind of labelling garbage as in Israel. I would not even as I said use the term patriots. I just would not label. In discussion I feel once you start labelling the discussion is over. It is the discussion which counts and there are so many ways to censor.

Trump does stir things up. That is not bad or dangerous in itself. What is dangerous though is that he is a man who only understands the surface of situations. Instinctively he is often very good. But that in itself is dangerous.

My feelings about Feiglin are scant. I read once how he flew to the US, addressed a meeting of Jewish donors, flew back home. He just said the things they wanted him to say. Totally bland really. Got the money. That is still my impression. That sort of got me into the politics of Feiglin. The things I have learned since have not really changed me so much.

  17. The number one problem with getting a Jordanian government in power that will cooperate with Israel is the widespread hatred for Israel in Jordan. See the video of the following event in the Jordanian parliament of Aaron Maggid’s Twitter account:

There are several things in Felix’s post that I agree with. However I don’t understand his diatribe against Trump’s Global (Anti-) Warming decisions. All serious science says that the globe is NOT warming but in the beginning of a mini cooling period. Amply proven and hashed out thoroughly on this site.

Also I believe that a certain amount of PA Arabs WILL go to Jordan..those who are more interested in bettering their status and family economic situations. But the die-hards…. whom we all know so well.. will remain to be a thorn in Israel’s side until they are killed or captured, and either jailed (waste of money) or deported very far away . I prefer the first option. because they are those whom nothing deters.

As for Ted. I don’t think it’s as close to his plan as he suggests. It has certain elements of it like encouraging PA Arabs to go to Jordan etc. but not much more that I can see. The kinglet seems to be re-inforced by ths deal.

Where does Mudar Zahran and his positive positions come into this ….?

That’s…assuming that it’s true -and not another news “guess” (fantasy)…….!!

  19. @ Ted Belman:
By the way I think the leak of the plan from Lebanon will have large elements of the Trump plan in it. The economic incentive part was telegraphed all along.

We will see the details shortly. The King of Jordan has reportedly said no to the plan. The Egyptians will weigh the security risk of allowing Gazans into the Sinai versus investment.

Israel will have to weigh if they are being asked to forfeit land anywhere or risk security.

  20. Right Wing in the Israeli Lexicon is a good thing! It translates to Patriots and those loyal to the Land of Israel. We who love the Land of Israel and want sovereignty relate to being right wing in the Israeli usage of the term.

Left Wing in Israel are those who might agree to a Pal-State and make land concessions and NOT a good thing. Only 12% of Israelis identify today as leftists. These are found in Meretz and Labor mostly.

  21. Bear Klein I agree with what you write except for one fatal mistake:

“Three way confederation for certain things Israel, Jordan, PA. That would make the PA a state.

It is estimated the Trump Peace Plan will be unveiled anywhere from the end of next week until a few months from now.

Will the plan be unveiled prior to a coalition being formed, to try and influence the formation of the coalition? In other words to get the Likud plus Blue & White and Labor to be the basis of a coalition. Pushing away the influence of the right wing parties who would be opposed to a PA state.”

Yes the aimis to have such a coallition for the Palestinian State, in line do not forget with the Islamizing of Europe, and especially France according to Charles Gave.

But you make the mistake in referring to “right wing parties”. That plays into the hands of the enemies of Israel and of us all who oppose Islam.

They are parties of Israeli patriotism.

That is those parties of patriotism who oppose antisemitism and see as a remedy the Jews being in power in their own homeland.

  22. Is this it?

The Confederation is my number one problem. This takes the control of events out of the hand of Israel. If this happens it is a major concession by Israel. It may bring in outside forces which are very hostile to Jews… Arabs, NATO, even the EU and UN. Not good.

It loses sight of the fact and removes further away the corner stone that the ancient Jewish people walked on Judea and Samaria. Only Jews have a right to talk about and fight for that, certainly not any American politician.

The other major change and very fatal concession is of course that Gaza is being expanded into Sinai, and that means a big gain for the Islamic Jihad, which in one way is what this is all about, a concession to Islam.

I doubt very much if any Arabs will move physically out of Judea and Samaria and into Jordan. The Jihad will oppose that bitterly. This is because the Jihad sees itself as having conquered Judea and Samaria.

No matter what Trump will say, and gabble on about “peace”, this is all going to come down to battles between Islam and the Infidel.

A new reality is being attempted in the world, a virtual reality in fact, in which Islam is always good, in which its history is rewritten and distorted, as Ardern in New Zealand leads the way, we all will be placed in jail for ten years for saying anything bad (that is truthful) about Islam. This plan fits into that.

That is why I oppose what I have heard so far. I can see this being welcomed by Corbyn who will spin it in an antisemitic and pro Islam way.

The other side to this is that the wheels ar coming off the Trump movement. This centres on the lies by Trump and company on Global Warming. The method of Trump and this whole tendency is to think it so it has to be real. Trump thinks Global Warming is fakery so therefore it must be fakery.

This is a form of subjective idealism. Beloved of Bishop Berkeley. I think therefore it is. Also I cannot see it so it does not exist. Only sensory impression counts, not theory, not history. We make things whatever is in our heads. That is a method common in all of America. It is the same method in the Trump Mania Disorder of the Democrats.

Actually it is ironic timing. Just as his own country Canada is riven by the changes being brought about by global warming especially in the North of Canada, this report emerges. Ted Belman thinks this is not happening to his old country therefore it is not. I fear he will apply the same method to this report.

It is connected to another reality, that of the calculations of a Frenchman called Charles Gave who has predicted that in 40 years, it is now less than 40 years, France will be a Muslim majority country. The first sentences that Tarrant wrote in his testament were precisely on this, the conquest of France by the Muslim womb.We are at an existentialist point. No way to avoid these issues. I am sure that Trump will do more harm than good because he is evading this issue of Islam conquest. America is not reformable. He tried but not up to the massive task. His failure there, the failure of America, is going to make the Jews, again, pay a big price.

  23. Mazel Tov Ted on your vision and persistant determination. May this pay huge dividends of peace for Israel!

  24. @ Bear Klein:
This is the Jordan Option proposed by me. By releasing this today, they are helping Bibi and they are enabling his coalition to be formed around this plan. Notice that there is no mention of borders. The dividing line between Jordan and Israel will remain the Jordan River..

Don’t worry about the federation. In two years the PA will cease to exist..

One million Palestinians to be resettled in Jordan is just the beginning. I am looking to at least double that..

    Finally, I am vindicated.

  25. Three way confederation for certain things Israel, Jordan, PA.

Pushing away the influence of the right wing parties who would be opposed to a PA state.

  26. Maybe the Lebanese newspapers who report all this read Israpundit and the JOC blog.

If the Lebanese newspapers are accurate, then where is Trump going to raise 145 billion? From the U.S. Congress, which can’t agree even to fund a border wall for 7 billion? And can never agree to raise taxes on anyone? And can never agree on anything at all? Which considers majority rule a “nuclear option?” Or does he think Germany, France and Britain will fork it over?
